The American woman who seemingly vanished while on a trip in Spain remains missing as her estranged husband is reportedly refusing to take a polygraph test. Ana Knezevich disappeared in Madrid in February after a bitter split from David Knezevich, who claims he wants to “clear the air” while avoiding the lie detector test. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down the latest.

The optics of failing a lie detector test about having something to do with the disappearance of your estranged wife would be worse than the optics of refusing a lie detector test. I would never want to take the test for something i had nothing to do with.
Lie detectors are junk science so there's no benefit to taking one and it shoudn't be seen as an immediate cause to assume guilt.
A polygraph has no verifiable scientific evidence of ANYTHING! I'd never take a polygraph for any reason.
Absolutely. You literally cannot pass or fail a polygraph test so what’s the point in taking one.
@@PeopleOverProfits777 - It’s also completely junk science with a basis in nonsense. It’s a trick to coax people into saying something that could be incriminating or used as evidence. Taking one of these things is right up there with agreeing to talk to police without a lawyer present. Just incredibly foolish in any situation.
same
Why would anyone take a “lie detector” test?
to become an FBI agent
Right? Pseudoscience nonsense.
A polygraph!? Oh no! Did they report he denied their request to perform a crystal ball and tarot card reading as well? Because if that gets out he’s doomed.
Exactly 😂
😂😂😂
My thoughts exactly! 😂
Never ever ever ever take a lie detector test. I’m so over people talking about “optics”. You have a right to an attorney. You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to deny a lie detector test. EVERYONE should exercise these rights. Innocent or guilty. The messaging that “oh, you look guilty if you ask for a lawyer, don’t talk to cops, refuse a lie detector etc” is why innocent people are in prison right now. It is never in your interest to waive your rights.
That's what happened to Chris Watts. He took a polygraph and they told him he failed it and they got a confession out of him. Had he got a lawyer, he could've (doubtful) been out free.
@MissGrimm 💯🎯
Very well said.
That also makes me crazy, when they try to say some behavior isn’t how they expect..therefore indicates guilt.
I was informed my husband was severely injured, and I needed to get to the hospital asap. I was totally calm and stated, ok. Just let me finish the dishes.🤷♀️. He was on military maneuvers or else I’m quite sure I’d of been their only suspect.
There is a lot of subjectivity in polygraphs. That's why they're not admissible in court. It's almost like they just want to see your reaction more than any actual machine test. That's why I say stay calm and politely inform them to pound sand.
What lawyer? This coward left the country the very next day and refused to even talk about her let alone help searching for her. I'm sick and tired of people protecting the murderers and calling them for what they are, murderers, instead you're praising them and letting them go out of jail.
🤨 that thing that’s inadmissible in court?
It means nothing to refuse a lie detector.
It’s illegal to inform the jury that the defendant refused a lie detector, unless it’s agreed upon by both parties when it’s pertinent to the defense or prosecution.
To be a “courtroom based “ YT page and point that out, as if it’ll influence the verdict is either ignorance or purposefully misleading.
So many are so brainwashed by this total scam of LD tests. YES to your comment!!!
It's valid in court. "Alex Murdaugh failed a polygraph test, breaching his plea agreement, US government says in court filing "
@@ShroomFactory lie detectors are not admissible in court in any court - just because something’s written it in a court documents doesn’t mean it’s admissible.
@@nadagabri5783 Watch the video. They are admissible in Florida and other courts. "Alex Murdaugh failed a polygraph test, breaching his plea agreement, US government says in court filing "
@@nadagabri5783she said in the video that in Florida, polygraph results are allowed to be used in court.
I dont want compensation for google incognito, I want google to stop with the tracking.
I want both! 😍
I would refuse a lie detector test. Have zero understanding for that ancient idiotism. We don't use any such thing in Scandinavia.
It’s as archaic as trusting dogs to perform checks which allow law enforcement to skirt your rights to no warrantless searches. We just have to adult they aren’t being taught to “indicate” after a nonverbal cue from officers who think they have someone with drugs in their vehicle. 😂 gooooo land of the freeeee
They are a SCAM
@@nadagabri5783 What an immature comment.
@@Stuarttttt Yeah? And what do you offer better Sherlock Holmes? Go on, delight us with your innovation. Fool!
@Maimuke | He who owes nothing owes nothing fears nothing.
To be fair, I would refuse too. I'm a nervous person. I don't want life in prison due to pseudoscience.
You don’t go to prison getting nervous on lie detector geez 🙄
Only solid evidence you murdered someone sends you away!
@@Juke582You “fail” the test because they just lie to you about the result anyway. Then they just start hammering you and shaping the case to make you fit. No way should you take that test.
@@Juke582 This is not a perfect world.
In all her television interviews, Sanna Rameau, "the supposed best friend", states that, she and Ana María traveled to Austria. But, in reviewing her photographs, she forgot to mention that they also traveled to France!
(Now this may be a long shot, but I did a Google Search in French, and . . .
On Friday, February 9, 2024, the body of a woman was recovered from the Loire River near the Saint-Symphorien in Tours, France.
And, still another unidentified body of a woman of short stature was found in Criquebeuf-sur-Seine (Eure) near Pont-de-l'Arche on the same day!) *I think the family needs to extend their search to France!*
What's up with the narcissistic friend at the end? Police need to be looking at her. Really? An airbrush filter??? You need that to talk to people on social media about your missing friend? You are that vain and attention needy?
I thought the same thing.....no wrinkles at all? That's the world we live in now
Why would anyone take a test that isn't accurate enough to be admissible in court?
The can't even place the husband in Spain!
Could be a murder for hire case though so that's not necessarily ruling the husband out.
He's Serbian and probably hired people out there to take care of it. There is apparently lots of $$ in a pending divorce
It's admissible in court. "Alex Murdaugh failed a polygraph test, breaching his plea agreement, US government says in court filing "
Does her husband speak Spanish? It seems obvious that this isn't a Spaniard. Who else would give a broken Spanish text in Spain? Especially one that owned a house 2 hours outside Madrid. Also, who describes a place like that? 15 minutes sure, but 2 hours? Why not just use the city name unless he didn't know of one 2 hours away and was just making things up on the spot?
What kind of crazy woman would meet a guy that lived 2 hours away, had spotty service, and whatever else the woman just decided to hop in and take off......NO, didn't fn happen
Who else? Are you serious? Immigrants, tourists, that's a lot of people in Spain 😅
He might have paid someone to do it…
dought it. she was running around with random men and got abducted
Even if you take one, they will come back and say you failed. Even if you pass, they will look at you as a suspect. I am sure he has an attorney and told him NO. He is following advice of council, guaranteed
It should be pretty easy to find out if he was in the Schengen zone when she went missing.
How?
Yeah cause that would narrow it down 😅
@@michaels2206lol it's 2024 what u thinking?? Of course EVERYTHING is tracked: customs, airports, airplane companies, passport, visas, stamps, phone locations, cameras everywhere...
"Unfortunately"???
It's excellent that he will have to prove his whereabouts.
Hold up....why would you watch someone spray paint security caneras and not report it???!!! What is wrong with us as a society that we will not help look out for other people 😠😠😠
Prayers for Ana, her family and friends.
No one should ever willingly take a lie detector test for any reason period .
Would ANYBODY be criticized for REFUSING to play an Ouija BOARD in connection to the disappearance of their estranged wife? Might as well stick a voodoo doll with pins!! SAME THING.
How do you know she's not doing this to make her estranged husband look bad
It's never, "I ran away with a man I met. Will be in touch in a few days." 4:32
The optics of not talking the polygraph are still better than the optics of so many innocent people going to prison for cooperating with every LE request
.... something's not right (strange text) plus the divorce...
Sad
For the record, just because someone retains an attorney is not evidence of guilt. It is evidence of wisdom the way some law enforcement go about their jobs. And I am pro law enforcement and might still pursue a career in it. But let us not be foolish. Whoever abducted her or harmed her needs to be held accountable. I pray the full, clear truth comes out. As much as we hate the young lady going missing, let us remember we are innocent until proven guilty.
Not just any attorney - a homicide specialist
never accept a lie detector, even the inventor says it cant be trusted.
With the strict border control in most European countries, it should be easy enough to determine if he was in Spain at the time. If he wasn't, it doesn't mean he wasn't involved, just that he wasn't present physically. Also test results are only admissible in Florida with consent of both parties.
Strict border control through Europe is not the case. You just glide from one country to the next without control!
Border control? Have you heard of Schengen?
Identical txt message just translated
He didnt do it, florida just ended alamony for life
Fact is, the person who seemingly benefits most from her disappearance is the husbend! It was mentioned that during the critical time period he was in Serbia (Belgrade?). Investigations in Serbia must not be neglected.
I’m glad you are reporting on this , why do exes continue to make up ridiculous thing that a woman would not do
It’s the chandler haldson meeting a couple and going to the cabin story lol
I am glad this case is been shown in Law and crime so more and more people knows it and help find Ana. Of course he is involve! Is terrible FBI can't help because she vanishef in Spain not in USA.
I would not take one either
When it comes to lie detector tests ,the test is whether you are willing to do one or not ,not necessarily what it reveals.Detectives want to see if you are worried to take one or are willing to do anything to find your loved one ,because one screams innocent ,the other does not !
Common psychopath's excuse for a missing spouse, "she ran away with some man."
The test isn't accurate. i would refuse it too.
Also, Jodi Arias says hi.
Dumbest excuse ever! It’s what all psychos say of course!
@@ultimatums1 Who said it was a test, Sherlock?
She'd ALREADY RUN AWAY to Spain. You'd THINK SHE MIGHT meet a guy!!

Well let’s keep leaving the country.
Classic . TBH I wouldn’t either and that’s just because I can’t believe it’s always right
Great. She leaves 4 other kids behind.
Polygraphs are as legitimate as astrology.
Human trafficking is real and it seems like this is what is happening to her, I hope not because if that’s the case she will never be found.
The bottom line is that you used a filter for vanity reasons that make little sense - higher a model actress if you want to get the word out.
He refused everything else too. The lie detector is the least.
Another theory, maybe the friend and husband were having affair, just sayin...
👨🏻❤️💋👨🏻
Her husband sent that text. It was not her verbiage.
Anyone could have sent that text. Let us not jump to conclusions, and pray for the full, clear truth to come out.
No, it was you actually.
Could have been anyone.
What about her friend?
Husband? Or ex husband?
Separated
I would never ever take a lie detector and ppl who push them are ridiculous.
How do you know it was the husband and not an abduction? Because no stranger would bother write a text; why would he? There’s no tie between the victim and the stranger. The husband’s alibi is sketchy: Florida/Serbia…it’s blatantly obvious he murdered her…
OJ Simpson Lives on through this Husband. 🎉
Estranged husband was in another country
👍
Because he is guilty, simple as that.
Innocent until proven guilty. You need some IQ
why wouldnt a ex husband wanna cooperate 100percent. whats the statistics of ex husbands not cooperating 100 percent on missing ex wives. think will be hearing more of this case soon

Polygraphs should not be a thing but okay.

✨Such a best friend...💗💗💗
All that indicates to me is that he's afraid of the results and points to guilt...
The lie detector tests are not admissible in court so even if he failed, he's got nothing to worry about regarding a verdict.
Instead of a lie detector test, why not throw some chicken bones down on the table and see what they tell us. It’s pretty sad and pathetic that law enforcement in the 21st century still acts like a lie detector test is something significant.
ex husband is not straight
What else would you expect from a Serbian dude? He even left the country to avoid prosecution in the USA for killing of his ex to-be wife. He's in Serbia where he ran to his mother to get away from prison in the US.
Estranged Wife vanished in Spain when she met a stranger on Tinder
Then the husband is a murderer. Period.
Lie detector is pseudo science and doesn’t actually detect lies there’s a reason it’s not admissible in court. That doesn’t make you a murderer you bafoon
Can't even place him in Spain and y'all already sentenced him!🤦♂️
Not too bright are ya?
Or just smart. Polygraphs are junk science. Inadmissible in court as well.
It's usually the spouse though - but a refusal of the polygraph is not suspicious on its own.
Innocent until proven guilty
If he has nothing to hide he'd take it. Prayers for Anna 🙏
even more reason to not take it.
Yup the husband did it! Only reason to refuse one of those! Dang it’s going to be hard to prove he murdered her over there! Sad 😢
even the inventor says they don't work, also there is video of a potato failing it.
Estranged husband was not in Spain when she vanished while she dated a guy she met on Tinder
This is so sad, he is looking very guilty. But I’m thinking that maybe someone on that building did something to her , everyone there should be investigated.
the amount of violence thats been happening in Italy, Spain, and Mexico lately against American Tourists is pretty eye opening... i'm surprised there's no travel warnings or anything!
There are travel warnings on your government websites.
Violence in Mexico is not exactly specific to American tourists 😂 And in this particular case it seems likely her kidnapper knew her
Whats the motive? I wonder if theres a life insurance payout on her somewhere
Jointly owned company, property in Florida.
The husband is 💯 behind it. That text was the classic coverup text
