Don’t spend too much time on that. 10 hit combos actually don’t have much use in real matches and are kinda gimmicky. Rather use the combo challenges to get an idea of real combos with a given character. Those will help you a lot more in real matches and understanding of combo’ing with a given character.

I picked up Tekken 8 today, literally first fighting game outside of Smash Bros I've bought since Soul Calibur 2. Am going to play as Lili as she drinks tea, and that is as good a reason as any when you know nothing at all. Honestly, seen you play a lot of fighting games over the years at this point, but this is the first time I've been hyped enough to get involved myself. Looking forward to giving online a go in the very near future.

Hwoarang's strings end when he says they end. In all seriousness, it's unlikely that you'll learn when they'll go low or high or learn all their moves, as Hwoarang players themselves don't even know all their moves. I would say watch for punches, they don't go low, so when you see a punch, armor through to punish.
Hwoarang has been my first Tekken love since T3. Hes always been my fav and its so awesome to see him getting the love yet again. As far as Tekken goes, hes 1st, them legs go on for days❤❤

also funfact for some reason Victor generic grab has 14 frames window to break his grab, while the normal for all other characters is 20 frames, 14 frames was the frame window for tekken 3 but i dont know if its a bug or if it is intentional on the part of the tekken team, i think thats why people has such a late reaction to break his generic grab in the game.
Having a really tough time in this game understanding when its "my turn". It feels like my opponent can just tee off on me blocking, but when they finish whatever string they try and i go to ounish they just block easily
Learn a bit about framedata (like from PhiDx). Go into practice mode or check your replays, they give hints and allow you to step in to take control and try different things. And check out which moves are closer to neutral or have disadvantage on block. Learn what your quickest punishes are that fit within that disadvantage (10-15 frame startup moves, 15f is generally launchers). Alternatively, press jab more often, and trough trial and error try to find those openings. Also sometimes low counters, sidestepping or ducking is a better option to punish an unsafe string or attack. Ducking if you know a move in the string goes high (mishimimas have those in some kick strings). Sidestepping if you predict a move that goes more "linear", like Victor has a lot.
Same here, especially when I'm playing Kazuya, everything he has just feels so slow compared to the Hwoarang and Lili strings that start real quick and then recover in a micro second.
Thx max for the Victor combo i copy it and even advanced it for more dmg try the same combo but with launcher and back 2 and forward 2 in to stance and then the combo you delete health bars with it and victor is so fun against turtle players and try my own variation with the double forward 3 in to stance and 2 and double 3 so good it even pick ups downed players
Victor is the right character for beginners. Just look at Max having fun doing combos by pressing one button all over again. No idea why he does not opt for the special needs style though.

Dragunov is an all-rounder, good at everything, and easy to learn. Victor is new to the game, so most people don't know how to deal with him yet. I think he'll be figured out soon enough by most.
