I've enjoyed watching your video on Organization. I'm new to beads and at my age its so rewarding making jewelry but you make it look so easy to Organize. I don't have the room or space to do that but thank you for your time to help people like me to see the mistakes we're making by buying from the wrong people. I've just been burned that way but never again. Now my stash is a couple of tubes of 0 beads...I know very little but you got to start somewhere..Bless you x

This was really helpful. Well done and detailed. I like how you took the time to show us your process instead of just skimming over it or trying to explain it without demonstration. You gave us good tips. I could see the difference very well between the Swarovski and the not Swarovski crystals. Thank you.

Ruby! I almost fell out of my chair at the beginning of this video when i saw that snowy mountain painting. It looks exactly like a painting my grandpa did. He did several like that actually. He was actually trained by Bob Ross. Your paintings are beautiful. It brought back a lot of memories.

Thanks for all your storage ideas, I was given a bunch of old candle jars some time ago, I use those now for some of my beads, I also got some mini storage bins from by bf and I went and ordered more of those from $tree, they hold some of my seed beads. My husband build me a workshop, because my sewing room was so packed I had a little path to my sewing machine, where I was doing my beading. We had just renovated our kitchen, and we were able to re-use my old cabinets in my workshop, I have that pretty much filled out with beads, along with some crafting stuff. I wish your vid had come out early this year. Anyway, I love your storage method. And I also learned a hard lesson with the Chinese ;) swarovski.

My beads are scatted in the hallway, bedroom and painting desk. I love making beaded Christmas balls. I wish you a happy thanksgiving this week and I love your work and birds.

First off Ruby, I want to thank you for all the wonderful tutorials you offer here on RUclips. Second, I went to the Harbor Freight Tools web site and they offer some bins that are similar in what you are using for anybody interested. It's called a "40 Bin Organizer with a Full Length Drawer" They run regular price $24.99 but go on sale once in awhile for $14.99. It's worth checking out to see if it is something you might find of interest.

Wow, you have a lot of beads, lol. Love your organization, it makes it so you can find what you want without hunting all over. Thank you for doing this video. I cant believe the difference between the Chinese and Swarovski crystals. The colors don't look anything alike. I noticed the Chinese ones are yellowed and cloudy. That's good to know.

I love how sassy and hot and bothered this lady is about her quality of gems and turquoise and beads. I’m the SAME way. I only buy natural and nicely stabilized turquoise from Kingman on Etsy, the Ottesons on Instagram and certain sellers On Etsy who I message first to make sure they’re legit. Czech beads are indeed fantastic

GREAT tips Ruby! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
I'm so glad you showed the difference in crystal (between China vs Swarovski). I had considered them, but remained hesitant. So glad of that.
I've shopped all the places you mentioned and love them. I, too, am choosy about things from Artbeads. I find their stuff gorgeous, but prices remain a bit higher. And I HATE this bit with ONE bead purchasing. Who buys that way? I hope they were listening!!
LOVE your organization. I've started purchasing a few of these hardware storage containers. Now...just to get my stuff out of my larger drawers and into them.....so hard to find the time, it seems. Thank you so much for sharing your process. It's a FANTASTIC system.

+Victoria Smith I sure hope they were too...when we do big projects...who wants to buy one bead at a time...in the end you could of bought a whole factory pack with more crystals and less the price...I promise you all when I shop around and find deals I will post them on my facebook page like I did yesterday...for the half price pearls...I am going to see if they are the czech pearls or just glass pearls...Have a wonderful day...

Those paintings are gorgeous! Thanks for the tip about the Swarovski vs Chinese crystal. I was wondering about it because I bought some crystal from my local bead store and when using them i noticed that the holes didn't line up. I asked the bead store if it was Chinese or Czech and she said that it was Chinese. The strand cost me $14. I fully support local business but I felt like I got jipped because for the quality that they ended up being kind of frustrated me. Being a newbie this kind of info helps. Thanks a bunch!

Ruby use your china junk on memory wire bracelets. Older ladies would love them easy on easy off. Kids love mixed beads on memory wire too. Mix different colors on every bracelets. My sister didn't know what she was buying so I have lots when she passed away it all came to me. So that is one way to use them & take to craft shows and I know you will be able to sell them at a lesser price. I love Jill Wiseman goodies too. Have a great holiday season. God Bless

Ruby where do you buy the different sizes of tubes? Can you buy them off the internet. You like to buy the same way I do. You're very right about china's beads and almost if not everything else They sell. I waited almost 2 and a half months for some "Gold Leaf Leaves (50) count. They never showed and they were trying to sell me more of the same item, yet I hadn't gotten my first order. I will never order any beads off of ebay. Only like you said from Fire Mountain or one of the others. Thanks for the great great info. Mike

Nice organization. I go a bit further and figure price per bead (using average amount per gram). I sell my jewelry, so that helps when it comes to pricing. I've gone through a few different ways to organize my stash :-)
When I first started, I did buy "swarovski crystals" on Ebay....I know better now, I don't use those beads in my product. I call them Chine-ovskis.

Wow that's awesome! You have quite a collection. I don't know if you do or not but since beads are not cheap do you carry insurance in case of damage or if stolen? Most people just keep collecting and never realized how much they have. This is just a suggestion if you are really in to the craft to cover yourself so you don't get burned. I hope this helps those of you who are doing crafts. Take care and God bless.

I bought a dozen metal cabinets with 39 plastic drawers in each from www.Harbor Freight.com for $14.99 each. I haven't returned to the website or store in over 2 yrs but they are super for my needs. If you find them on the website verify their shipping costs. Years ago I told a friend about the units, she ordered 10 and shipping was $5.00 flat rate. (I purchased mine about 8 yrs ago.)
My apologies. For some reason this video appeared in my RUclips list. I had no idea you had decided to stop doing beadwork. As my late Mother always said 'the only thing constant is change'. Knowing when to 'move on' is important. Life is a journey, a different path usually necessitates change. And enjoying the journey is imperative.

If you want your paintings to dry faster, put them in your car, in the back window. That's how mine dry fast for classes ;) Also if the Titanium white yellows in your paintings, again put the canvas in the back window of your car or your table where the sun will bleach out the white in a few days.

I know this is several years ago since you made this video, I was wondering if you create and invoice before organization? Love your organization by the way!

Why do you dump the beads on your beading mat and then pick them up with your triangle scoop? Why don't you dump them directly into your scoop? Your scoop is wonderful though, and I need to get me one! Love your organization of your beads!

    Good Evening Ruby!
I saw that you don't like using the Chinese beads, at all. If it isn't much trouble, I would like to somehow obtain them, that way they're out of your drawers and you don't have to look at how ugly they are.
If not, then no big deal. Thought I'd help you since you don't use them. :)
Let me know when you get the chance. xoxo~
    -Autumn.

-It would cut back on beadaholiques cost making smaller tags or doing multiple per sheet in the long run in addition to user convenience. :)

I'm so unorganized. I have so much of each item storage would make it so nice. If I dumped everything in a box it would take about 6-7 big flip top bin's if not more. It would take a bin or more of crystal bicone and fire polish. I need help when can you fly out! I'll pay your way lol. I have a great size room with counter space half way around the room it's anyone's dream the counter space. I just have to start some time and dive in :)
