Also having two different head coaches and offensive coordinators in his ear did him no favors at all! For the Steelers, my biggest concern is still going to be Arthur Smith, now the offensive coordinator. We have seen how Smith overthinks his approach with the Falcons, coincidentally with the same assets to use (the Falcons have one of the best offensive line units, pass catchers like Pitts and London, a solid running attack spearheaded by Robinson and Allgeier), so my worry is he will overthink things again, to the detriment of the Steelers offense.

Justin Fields biggest problem was processing the field and not getting rid of the ball. He had to operate a simplified offense which the good teams would tear him apart. I don't think it's a development problem. It's a mental block. Mitchell Trubiski had the same issues; team quickly realized that the coach had to protect his lack of ability to read the field againes complex defenses. It's not that the Bears didn't have talent but no team can have a probowler at every position in order for a quarterback to develop. He got two offensive coordinators fired and almost 2 coaches. It's like going back to Jay Cutler; at some point, it's the player not the coach. If the Bears kept him, they would have to pay him and not the other players. Ryan Poles is average GM at best right now, he has yet to draft a probowler and you need multiple if you're going to be a title contender. You can't just trade or buy free agents. That will kill your cap.

Justin Fields biggest problem was processing the field and not getting rid of the ball. He had to operate a simplified offense which the good teams would tear him apart. I don't think it's a development problem. It's a mental block. Mitchell Trubiski had the same issues; team quickly realized that the coach had to protect his lack of ability to read the field againes complex defenses. It's not that the Bears didn't have talent but no team can have a probowler at every position in order for a quarterback to develop. He got two offensive coordinators fired and almost 2 coaches. It's like going back to Jay Cutler; at some point, it's the player not the coach. If the Bears kept him, they would have to pay him and not the other players. Ryan Poles is average GM at best right now, he has yet to draft a probowler and you need multiple if you're going to be a title contender. You can't just trade or buy free agents. That will kill your cap.
