I got in ND,CPL and UV full replacement filters from Aliexpress and they come with a wrench to assist in the removal and installation of the filters.
The stock Ace Pro cover is held in place by 2 small dabs of epoxy and is easily removable using the wrench.
NOTE: I am not responsible for any damage to your camera, if you choose to replicate this YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! YOU MAY ALSO VOID YOUR WARRANTY if you break something or put the lens cover back on improperly and it leaks. Keep in mind this can void your Gopro and DJI warranty as well if you improperly replace a lens cover and it leaks.

UPDATE: I tested these under water (the 3rd party covers) and one leaked from the glass edges immediately. The o-ring seal was fine and I pulled it out before any amount got into the camera.
I am letting everyone know for full transparency...Don't use the Amagisn replacement covers under water without a dive case.
The OEM cover does not leak after removing it, I test that also in a big 75 gallon aquarium.
Damn, I actually like the looks of those lens guard better then the OEM ones, I'm probably going to crack mine open with my ADHD lol
FANTASTIC! This video saved that camera for me in my mind. Might pick it up now. 👌
Just keep in mind if they find out and you get water damage they likely won't honor the warranty if water damage is even covered by said warranty.
@@BassManStrikes awww i see...
@@BassManStrikeseven dji and go pro wont honor the warranty if is water so
Now am getting this camera and those ND filters
Thank you
I like the looks of those. 👍 A little dive grease on the o-rings might help them spin on easier and seal better.
Since I already had screw on lenses for my GoPro, I think I'll stick with my original idea of building an adapter for my 52mm lenses. That gives me the ability to stack lenses.
They are OK as long as you don't take them underwater. They didn't seal the glass properly 😕 😔 See my latest video 😀
@@BassManStrikes I did. That's probably why they made the decision to lock the lens on. I still think a tiny bit of dive silicone will help. I'm not planning to test my theory any time soon. 😉
If you want quality replacements we are going to need to petition Insta360 to back track or ask more reputable companies to make replacements.
Is this amagsin lens good? Have any problem after open it change fillter lens?
Nice instructions. May I ask if the clip on UV would bring about equal results as remove and replace?
Yes the slip on ones work, but do add another layer of glass which could affect image quality a little bit
@@BassManStrikes Got it!
Liked to see examples of all of them compared to oem. Looks like there is some lens distortion.
Looked ok to me but I'm not super picky 😉 I wasn't expecting the same quality as those from freewell. These were literally 20 dollars for 4 😎
@@BassManStrikes I’m on the other end of the spectrum lol. If quality wasn’t an issue, I’d buy a gopro again. :p for a company that claims it’s the best (it’s not) but who does… I don’t want to ruin it.
Cool though someone has options
@@EyeCanShootFL Yep it's not for everyone but knowing the option is there is comforting :-)
Niceeeeeeeeeeee
What About the Waterproof Warranty? I think it‘s not a good idea. There are filters to attach. 😉
Is this an early release unit? Supposedly Insta360 made the final version of the Ace Pro w/o the ability to remove the lens cover. Some early demo units had the ability though.
No, it's retail from best buy. They did not. They simply added 2 tiny drops of glue.
It's totally removable , they lied to all of us about this.
Watch the other video. I fully explain what I found and how it's NOT a pre-production camera.

This is not designed from the beginning as non removable like the gopro hero 8 was....why they tried to pull a fast one is unknown. Only they know the true reason they did this...
@@BassManStrikes I know a couple of testers and whilst the lens was made to be removeable they had issues like you had long term with leaks so decided to change them to non-removeable as they were too far along to change the lens design
Hi, not sure if that was the real reason because what they did to make it non removable doesn't help with leaks. it only prevents it from being removed. I have taken mine off and on a bunch of times already and put in in jars of water and in a big aquarium and the lens cover did not leak at all. It has a decent 0-ring which is what actually prevents water from getting in, not the 2 drops of glue they added.
Where can I find that mic?

The CPL is not a circular one, so its usefulness is probably limited.
Yah, the point of the CPL is to be able to rotate the lens to change the polarity but then again, they have them for drones as well cause on my DJI Mini3 is rectangular lol
@@MiyagisRantyep in those cases its just a polarized filter , they have these labeled as CPL, but no adjustment circle 😂
@@BassManStrikesYah, my drone one is rectangular mount but the lens is circular and you can rotate it, probably see that soon with this camera
