Hello! I own a 2014 Ford Focus Manual that I bought brand new. It now has 134k miles. It is still on the original clutch! I have taken it through every climate, over a dozen national parks and around 25 states. Just got my first engine light, but it's just a sensor. It has serve me well through all these years.
@@6sinsero yeah, It was the purge valve. Bought it from Ford and swapped it out myself in about 30 minutes. It's going to hit 150k miles tomorrow and still going strong!
Great review!! I'm considering a Focus for a second commuter car as I need to overhaul my f-150 and it'll be out of commission for a while. Was thinking of a manual because of Focus issues with the automatic transmissions. Your review sold me on the idea. Funny- I was almost certain you were in Minnesota when the video started just by the scenery, and you later confirmed it. It's so recognizable to natives, at least to me it is. :)
Really wish Ford would bring back a manual transmission hatchback to the USA - they continue to sell the Focus, Fiesta, etc. in Europe, and the new generation of each car is spectacular!
@@AustinMBecker You're welcome! The new generation Focus has more rear seat legroom than your car, which is important for me personally. Have you seen the new Focus ST released in Europe? It drives, looks, and sounds fantastic! If we all write letters to Ford Customer Relations telling them what their customers want in America, maybe they'll listen to us and bring the ST variants back at the very least.
Nice review. Is this much more reliable than the Focus ST? How does it compare to a Mazda 3 or VW Golf in interior quality, space, fun factor and general reliability?
@@AustinMBecker Thanks for the review, I plan on getting a double din install with Android Auto/Apple Carplay to avoid the stock radio. They have some nice factory looking bezels that will fit modern aftermarket large screen audio/media systems. They are surprisingly cheap and makes it look like a modern large screen system you see on new cars these days.
@@gpaje I am not the poster, but depending on your Trim for the Ford Focus, you might not be able to install a double din radio. The Titanium trim does not support custom radio. In addition, how will you replace the control panel?

They are definitely great cars, very reliable for the money. I'm still driving mine - coming up on 2 years with the car... Thanks for watching!
Great to hear i might get a 13’ mk3 with 89km on it for 8 gran which is not bad but excited to test drive it
I got the same sensor !! But is nothing serious ✌🏽

I daily an ST and it's one of the most reliable cars I've ever driven. Ford did well with the manual hatchbacks.
100% agree. Great cars. I’ve driven an ST as well, and they are definitely enjoyable to drive. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review, very helpful! Considering a used 2013 focus stick-shift so this answered a lot of my questions.
Good to hear, thanks for watching!

Thanks for the response! Still been driving the Focus, definitely a pretty good commuter car! Zero issues.

I got one but in sedan!! Yeap is stickshift ✌🏽
Nice! Thanks for watching!
Basically ford focus manual is much reliable than those automatic transmission?
I would agree 100% on this - seems like the transmission is the first big thing to have issues for the Focus if it's an automatic
Soo Im interested in one like this, How is The reliability.
Still own it, no issues with engine or transmission. Been very reliable. Have had some spotty issues with stock radio though.

@@AustinMBecker How many miles does she have on her now? Still holding up well?
@@wtfx5757 172,000 miles - still no issues. Very happy with the car overall, it's been extremely reliable - gas, oil, drive.
