Excellent video. So well explained and enjoyable to watch. You're without a doubt the best coach that I've watched online since beginning my archery journey. I've been out of action for a few months due to a neck injury but after watching this video and now that I'm all healed up, you've given me the drive to get back into it. Always keep sharing your expertise and knowledge man as much as you can because you truly are helping so many of us. Thanks again and God bless 🤝

@@RogueArcheryTV maintaining a T posture by making sure to not only pull but push too. And I've learned more on grip from this video. I need to practise more on alignment. I've no problem getting into it without a bow using a band or just doing it without anything in my hands but when I've the force of the bow and string being pulled apart, I find it hard to be consistent and I know that because my anchor isn't always the same so I'm not in full alignment all the time if you get me! It's probably the harder thing to get right in archery so I'm sure practice is the only answer or do you have any suggestions?

Hello, thank you for sharing this very well structured conference.
In my case I'm a developing archer (group 2).
I'm interested by your masterclass and I have some questions:
Developing archers have all differents strengths and weaknesses, what is your strategy to adapt your class for every one ?
I feel fragile like a card's castle and I need to understand how it will happen.
Step 1: disassembling my actual technique.
Step 2: reassembling it with differents or news steps .
    Ok but how ?
To be honest I'm frightened with the step 1 and I need to understand the process before.
    Thank you for your answers.

    • @RogueArcheryTV

Hi, and thanks for your question.
Yes, developing archers have different strengths and weaknesses... they also have different levels of comprehension and understanding of the technique. They have varying levels of training, skill development, physiology, learning styles and mindset....
This is why I love coaching. Everyone is totally unique!
In terms of feeling fragile in your technique, you probably are!
Most archers don't have a strong basis in technique structure, so it's very hard to make progress. You're not alone.
My course is called "Recurve Archery Technique Fundamentals".
In this, we examine the fundamental principles that all top archers have, and then I show you how to implement those skills with various skill progressions.
In the course I have many examples of quided exercises to go through. I explain each skill component in the context of the shot process, then demonstrate how to do it, I show variations of drills and exercises used to teach the skill, I cover common mistakes and errors to look for, and then there are also coaching case studies where you can actually watch me teach this skill to a real person and watch how they learn it. People seem to get alot out of this, as you can see the transformation, and the learning process.
We also have a community group where you can post videos for feedback and ask questions that are specific to you. The members who are most engaged here often get the best results.
The course is structured so thT you can follow along and it teaches you the skills in the order that you need to know them.
You can even preview some of the modules for free on the website to see if you resonate with my teaching style and like the format of the lessons.
If you have any more questions I'm happy to answer here, or have a quick call if you like.
      Cheers, Jarryd.

      What did you learn?

    • @Barx1963
      @Barx1963 Год назад

I think the main thing I learnt was about the synthesis and structure of all the individual components of a shot. For example, when you talk about anchor, explaining it as having 3 components each one of which helps regulate a particular axis of motion.Obviously, I was fully aware of each component, but to synthesise the 3 together as an anchor simply makes sense.@@RogueArcheryTV

      @@Barx1963 yea 100%
I think it's sometimes quite difficult to gain this perspective, as a lot of educational content focus a high resolution on one individual element, but you must always frame this knowledge within the context of the overall shot process.

The new Rogue Archery jerseys can not just be bought... they must be earned!
We have a new development structure, similar to martial arts belts, where archers must demonstrate skill competencies, and training disciplines in order to be promoted to the next jersey.
This is only available to the Rogue Archery Development Squad, and I'll also make it available to members of the Rogue Archery Masterclass who want to be assessed against this criteria.

From the sounds of his voice it's Ilias and his question is along the lines of predraw shoulder alignment of the bow side, his issue as mine is "how much to push the bowarm and bow shoulder" you can allow the bow side scapula slide backwards towards the spine and this gives a much stronger feeling of a stable front shoulder... If on the other hand you push more with the bow arm it's hard to judge how much to push but also to feel if the bow side scapula is in the correct position and stable, this also effects drawlength and clicker activation

    • @RogueArcheryTV
      @RogueArcheryTV  Год назад +2

Yes this is a really good question. An important one too!
It does however open a whole can of worms around the most stable setting position of the bow shoulder.
      A couple of points below:
      1. You need to think more broadly than the bowside scapular position, and understand the range of motion of the shoulder girdle, of which the scapular is a part.
      2. As a rule, we do not train technique based on "the feeling" of it. I did a whole video on this. ruclips.net/video/WNzZk9RpwuE/видео.htmlsi=7zKgLiQqGe3P_DGV
      3. Squeezing the bowside scapular back towards the spine is incorrect. The intention is to pull the shoulder 'down', not back.
