Zelda: Link's Awakening - Bonus: Primitive Dungeon Maker

- This is just a mini episode to show off the existence of Dampe and his chamber stones. The gravedigger presents multiple challenges in sets of 4 that set specific criteria for designing your own dungeons. Unfortunately, you are limited to exact replicas of rooms already in the game, and only the ones you've seen before or collected on the way. This creates a disorganized theme of random rooms that is more like simply connecting the start point and finish. There are a lot of challenges, though, and some of the game's 100% collectibles are locked behind it. More chambers can be purchased at the town shop exactly seven times, each one costing over 1000 rupees. Others can be found by completing challenges or certain mini games (like fishing or rapids race). I find the concept great, but the execution and longevity kind of boring, so this will be the only video I do on it.

Moldorm looks like a series of progressively larger hamburgers, each with a little too much lettuce.
The problems I have with dampe challenge, even if we keep the core concept of replacing room from previous dungeon :
-you have no control over what chest is what.
-no control over which door is bombable or locked.
-no dungeon item (special "key" for special "lock")
-cannot be shared, even privately. Unless you invite someone over, you make dungeon for yourself and not for others.
Those are most of the problems but you can share it by ameibo or picture. i kind of wish there were more rooms and also choose door days
@@timohara7717 amibos are a scam.. So I choose to ignore that lol. Plus, you indeed would need to be in the same room at some point with the person you share it with so it's moot.
And you can share it by picture? How?
And don't tell me that I can take a picture of what I build and my friend could build it exactly the same way for himself... It defeat the purpose.
@@maximelepage7664 i mean just by some cards and get the files then aplly them to the cards

I would love to see nintendo make something similar to Zelda Classic, but easier to use.
Thank you! I was looking for an overview of something like this so that I could use the knowledge in a game I am currently working on!
That was a really cool playthrough man, I really enjoyed it
This is actually pretty cool lol
Oh yeah! The zelda dungeon maker (beta) hahaha nice work Bill
in the gameboy version, instead of Dampe there was a photographer who would pop up every so often. honestly I think I prefer the photographer - the Dampe thing is a cool idea, but it gets boring quickly.
In my opinian since i nearly beat the game its really cool but probably will get boring in a year like mario maker
It fidnt
It's a shame you never went back to the fishing, Billy. There's a whole side thing there with seashells and such. I was hoping you would, because I'd be keen to see the strategy you'd employ for some of the tougher fish, because they can be real buggers!
Sure it’s basic and has a lot of issues, but it’s still fun to just get to mess around building dungeons. Also you eventually unlock the ability to build dungeons with no limits other than the 8x8 grid, and what rooms you have unlocked.
I'd like to see you do all the challenges from dampe. But that's me
Was it just me or in the dungeon maker theme, did I hear the dark world theme from link to the past? Here's one instance: 10:09
Maybe that would be cool
Yea I agree with him maybe but why is it cool...
I remember playing Mario maker on my family's old Dell. Good times. R.I.P the dell
Whats a Dell and is that mario 1
Its a old PC lol and Mario maker was a Mario game on pc where you can create your own levels or play created levels made by other people online
@@Drewskii59 can you explain because if its a fan game its also an offical game on wii u and sequal on switch
@@timohara7717 I think it was fanmade it might be on PC only
@@Drewskii59 maybe sned a link or were i can find a website that is not a scam im intrested
Stairs are so look annoying. They decide to be as annoying as
Possible.they connect to the wrong staircase.
It's too bad they got rid of the photographer in the original game for this. Guess they didn't want to remake each photograph...
I spent more time on this than I'd like to admit...
Did anyone figure out how to get all the tiles?
Do his challenges and complete the game nearly 100%
Can get tiles from crane game
Hello
Hi
I didn’t buy this game during a sale just for Nintendo to tell me I can’t put every boss in the same dungeon.
You.. can though?
@@timohara7717 I tried and it told me I couldn’t
