To expand on the point about Math + CS combination - there is only ONE course common between MSc Math and BE CS which is discrete math. That will be taught to you as part of CS anyway. That is all the overlap there is. Apart from this, CS requires a bit of number theory, which also you can learn in about a month on your own. Such a small overlap is not at all worth doing 4 years of college Math if you are not interested in it. @@everythingbitsatfromabitsi341 Alright bro , Thanks for the advice!!!
Which branch did you get?
What has been the cgpa cutoff for transfer of a student from msc. Chem to msc. Physics in bits hyderabad.. Ik i cant rely on transfers.. But then also.. If u could help.. Thanks..
And does it mean a particular cgpa (say 8.5+) will give me msc. Physics and cse in bits hyderabad..?
Brother, can I get dual in Hyderabad with around 250 marks.?
@Harsh Tapadia hey.. Yes.. Thanks.. I hope you get into Bits Hyderabad... 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
@Harsh Tapadia Hey! Which branch did you get?
@@susannaroy1632 Hey, which branch did you get?
So can a person with a minor in physics be regarded same as a person with msc in physics? Also i talked to a senior and he said that the msc courses taught there are of the same level as bsc of reputed science college like iiser, iist. Could you please explain my doubts. Great video as always bhaiya.
No of course a minor is not an MSc equivalent. Minor means you do 5 courses. In MSc you do those 5 plus about 15 more. The level of courses is good. But the overall MSc falls a bit short if you compare it to a full fledged 5 year course at IISER.
Everything BITSAT From a BITSian
So does its market value decrease as compared to an iiser course. Also bhaiya am i bothering you too much on facebook, quora, youtube? 😃
@@vedanttripathi9687 market value is way too vague a term. But BITSians do go to some of the best Universities abroad for their PhDs and all in their MSc disciplines. So it does hold a good value if you are good at it.
Everything BITSAT From a BITSian
Bhaiya at first i was quite hesitant about the dual degrees but your one blog post(the preachy one about a new beginning) changed my whole perception. I cant thank you enough for that. You have also helped a lot regarding my doubts. I will make the best effort to join cs in pilani. You may have changed a person's life here.
Thapar CSE or Bits pilani dual degree? Given that studying in Bits was my dream(im a dropper).Im hesitating in opting dual only coz I'm unsure if dual is worth of 25 Lakhs?
Bits dual is much better. Especially if u can get 8.5 CG in first year and get Bits CSE.
My son already doing vjti mumbai 2019 batch. Now getting msc maths pilani is it feas8bke to drop vjti cs and go 4 plinai dual degree and take risk
Nope.
If i have already burntout after jee prep is it wise to go for a dual degree?
Depends on the available options. But in general college subject material is not like JEE. So if you're worried that you'll be studying same kind of things, then no that is not the case. But if you are tired of just studying itself, then it's a tough call.
You should keep in mind the minimum 7.5-8.5 CG thing though. That applies for both single degree and dual degree students.
Bhaiya, I scored 273 in bitsat 2019, I filled the preferences and made use of every course available. So I which round will I be getting something ?? Can I get something itself in round 1 or 2 like msc physics in Hyderabad?
Hard to predict. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Bhaiya 18th tak choice filling kr sakte hai(extended)
I'm very confused abt it pls give me ur contact or email, I am having some crucial doubts. Pls bhaiya help me.
You can tell your doubts here or reach me on Facebook
@@everythingbitsatfromabitsi341bhaiya I'm getting msc physics,be chemical,EI(not sure) in pilani..
Mechanical in Goa and hyd.
Bhaiya please tell what should I prefer.
I have 97.4%in boards,am I in 1%ile?
I have 290 score in bitsat
@@akshrajput4581 I have literally covered Queries like this in this very video. The one percentile thing depends on which board you are speaking of.

Is BITS Hyderabad inferior ?
Because I stay in Hyderabad and BITS Hyderabad is near to me...Is it really inferior..I am also getting dual at Pilani but I am choosing Hyderabad just taking the criterion of Location...please tell me if really Hyderabad is inferior or not ?
Even if it is not inferior, I'd recommend you to go to Pilani for the simple reason that you're living in Hyderabad. College is not just about academics. You'll learn so much more if you move away from home.
What are possibilities if I take MSc physics plus BE Mechanical?
Bhaiya can we get scholarship on basis of our CGPA if we take dual degree????? Plzzz answer this question 🙏🙏🙏
Yes. Institute scholarships are same for single degree and dual degree students.
@@everythingbitsatfromabitsi341 thnkss a lot bhaiya,😍😍😍🙏🙏
Bhaiya I have been offered MSc Physics at Hyderabad campus but I want to wait till second iteration in hope that I might get an MSc course at Pilani campus, but what will happen if I don't get anything in the second iteration, will I be able to get the same course that was offered to me in the first iteration?
Yes, you will stick with this course for all the iterations unless you are able to slide up onto one of your preference list course above Msc Phy Hyd.
Hello bhaiya one question,is the cgpa cutoff for BE dual degree equal for all Msc's or different like Msc Maths or physics student will be given preference above Msc biology student even though they have equal cgpa say 8.5??
No preference to any MSc. All are equal. Tie breakers will not be done on MSc branch basis.
@@everythingbitsatfromabitsi341 thanks and one more thing is the syllabus for all branches be it Msc or btech same or different in 1st year??
@@prayushmankaushal4238 brother are u in BITS ?

Mostly with an income between 8 and 10LPA you will be eligible. The cost will significantly come down of you are able to get 80% scholarship every sem. The detailed fee and scholarships video will be uploaded soon so that will help. For now just fill the preference form and relax.
