No it's not a semester exchange since you're not a student there, taking classes etc. You have been invited there as an intern or research assistant to the professor. Hence they pay you instead of you paying them. Off campus thesis is independent of tie-ups. You apply to them yourself, the college just transfers your credits and counts the thesis towards your degree completion.

Great question! For labs it would depend on a case by case basis. It depends on whether free resources are available (PCs, machines etc.). You can always speak to the course instructor, and he/she will most definitely try to accommodate you if possible. If it's something computer based, you can collect the lab sheet and solve it on your laptop. To be clear, the above applies to labs you are not registered in, but still want to attend. For the labs that you are registered in, you'll mostly attend the section assigned to you as there will be evaluation in every lab. But that doesn't matter much because labs do not differ much at all from one instructor to another.

BITS officially doesn't release any placement data publicly. Even internally, dualites and single degree students do not have separate data. Dualites are considered with the single degree students of their respective BE, because there is no difference. I've done a video on placements, you can check that.
Keep in mind the job market after you finish your degree. Talk to people from KGP agri, and ask them about the job scene. I suspect most likely you'll have to go for some sort of higher education, and the job market will not be good after it. Don't just go blindly for the Tag.
@@saketpandey8897 yes that's why I said speak to someone from KGP in that branch and check if IT/finance companies allow students of agri to sit for placements. Sometimes, these "unconventional" courses are held away from the main campus, so make sure that is not the case. Either way, you still might be better off going for CS rather than agri. It's easier said than done that you'll learn programming on your own. Also if you plan to go for higher studies later in CS, having a CS degree already will help. 6 years ago, I was in a similar position and I chose Pilani Physics. I do not regret it one bit.

I have a question that ive been asking, but i havent yet gotten a good reply. I talked to a 3rd year student at pilani campus and i asked him about the internet facilities at hostels, according to him, at day time the internet is really bad and u cant even watch RUclips on it let alone play online or do some other work, at the same time i talked to a 1st year student and according to him u get constant 17MBps, (megabyte not bit) with great ping. I understand that a 1st year student who opted for bits over IIT might feel insecure and want to overglorify his college but at the same time, since he is the one who lives there, i cant really question his answer. I really wish someone would give me an unbiased answer about internet at pilani campus ( main uses will be following online coursera courses, youtube, gaming) and i was hoping u could help me with it 😁. I have talked to people at goa campus and they said that there they have a 3gb per day limit on internet usage. If its a similar case at pilani campus please do inform me about that too. Edit: i heard about the intranet system at bits and everyone seems to agree that it is blazing fast, however i still would like to know about the internet since gaming is a major factor for me.
No such limit in Pilani. RUclips works reasonably well, and so do Coursera and other websites. If for some reason you need much faster internet, you can go to the computer labs on campus. There the speed is quite good. Also don't choose your college based on where you'll get the best gaming experience. You're probably making one of the most important decisions of your life, please be responsible and don't do anything stupid.

I beg to differ. I find it really great. People generally complain about it not being updated and all, but that is the case almost everywhere in India, and if you understand any concept, you will be able to apply it anywhere, be it an old system or new. What I do like about the course structure is the equal emphasis on theoretical aspects, which is missing from the curricula of even some IITs.
Hi there, can you please make a video on BITS PG courses like M.Tech. There isn't any satisfactory information available related to PG entrance, previous year cutoffs and placement scenario etc. over internet. It would be really helpful to a lot of aspirants who ant to pursue M.tech at BITS.
I would really love to do so, but I myself am not informed about BITS HD well enough so as to be able to make a meaningful video on it. To answer some of your questions though, there are two ways in which you can get into BITS for ME. One is the BITS HD exam, and the other is GATE. You can choose either. I am not aware of the cutoffs. As far as the placement scenario goes, at least for CS I can tell you that the ME packages are absolutely at par with BE packages within the same company, if not slightly more. In EEE/EnI etc., there are some companies like Intel, who usually do not take any BE students but do take a lot of ME students. On paper yes. In practicality, it's quite challenging and tricky to manage as there will be multiple challenges along the way. For example, it would hugely depend on how you make the timetable every semester (also, there is a bit of luck involved in the timetable making process). But nonetheless, it's not unheard of.
Real discrimination is here in bits. Here students are from rich families and they may be talking about start ups all the time. No attendance policy is also a part of it. Don't call them extraordinary. They are enjoying the paid facilities provided or bought by taking money of their parents.
