One common doubt: People somehow manage to complete a single degree in 4 years (Since everybody wants to live a cool college life), on the hand, for those who pick dual degrees, They've got to cover 2 degrees in 5 years! So workload would be massive, more exams more assignments etc. or is it a case where I'll find most of the courses common between BE & MSc?
Yes, a dual will be more hectic than a single degree. But the structure of the dual degree is made such that the work load is manageable. The compulsory courses of one branch are counted towards the open electives of the other and first year courses are common anyway. If that didn't make sense to you right now, forget about it. It will when it needs to. I will be making a in depth dual degree experience video soon, that would explain things better.
You are very much welcome! I am glad this was helpful. It'd be awesome if you could share it with other people you know who might be interested in this info.
Hey um i just had a doubt as to whether there is an option of completing an Msc Physics course in BITS without haing to study for 5 years? That is to say without the BE degree and instead just opt for a single degree of physics? OR is it compulsory to take Msc Physics as a part of a dual degree program?
@@Ghkknfcc I will make a video about this in due time, but the notion that a Masters is always required for a PhD is not correct. Few single degree BE people in my batch have straightaway enrolled into PhDs after their BEs.
@@Ghkknfcc First get done with BITSAT. Then start talking to students from both campuses and decide for yourself. No, the MSc in BITS is integrated MSc, where you enroll directly after your +2. If you have done one year of BSc and you wrote BITSAT this year, then you can join if you have the required score. But you'll have to start afresh.
