I'm not a cosplayer. I've been watching cosplay related videos more to understand the various materials and construction techniques. Now I know about PVC sheeting which I didn't know existed before now. The projects I'm thinking of building are more enclosed structural pieces so my concerns relate to how long materials last before they begin to degrade, how various materials bond, strength of the glues over time, whether the materials off-gas (they may be sealed in a case) - stuff that may not relate to costume constructions. I'm not sure if there's a question here, but you have got me thinking about some new materials and construction techniques. Thanks for video - very helpful.

How much weight can that pvc backplate hold?

I haven't stress tested it, but I have one set of wings with a pvc backplate that has a slightly different design and those wings are 10 lbs total and are huge and it hasn't failed yet.

I know this is pretty late, but how do you determine the bend? If I'm making the wings for myself, should I just lay it on my back to see if it's all flush?

I determine angle by the design of the wing. I usually have some sort of a blueprint to help figure it out.

I did this and my wings are moving to the right and left a lot 😭 how can i fix this ?

You can drill holes to add screws to really secure the wings, and make sure the backplate is really tight to the body.
