I saw this recipe on another channel two weeks ago so I tried it but i can't stand the tapioca starch so I decided to use potato starch instead. After all it comes from the potato. I had both of them in my pantry. Thanks fór all the great recipes and weight loss advice. I've lost 54lbs so far. I have 16 lbs to go which I never thought I would say such that. Such a small amount.

OH MY! I didn't have any frozen potatoes, so I used some shredded dehydrated ones I had in my pantry. Added some water to the container, popped in the microwave for a few minutes then let drain/cool for a bit. Added seasonings and baked and DELICIOUS! My husband devoured the majority of these and asked to have these put on the rotation. :)

I've made tater tots and hashbrowns by grating cooked cold potatoes Kiki, but they were kind of hard work. I'm in Australia and I've never seen plain grated potato for hash browns in the supermarkets. There are a lot of things you guys have frozen without additives which we don't have. When tend to have just basics like broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, green beans and so on. The main brand here has the following ingredients: Potato (88%), Vegetable Oil, Corn Flour, Salt - so not good. I'll try my cold grated potato with the tapioca etc and get back to report on the results. The latkes look good too 😊
    It's really about the crunch!

I made your tater tots by grating potatoes and squeezing out the liquid. I then followed the rest of your steps and they turned out yummy! I live in Australia and we don’t get the hash brown potatoes like you. We do get frozen hash browns but the have oil and other things in them. When I cooked them I put them in the oven and after 20 minutes I transferred some of them to my air fryer and cooked for another 5 minutes. Boy they were golden brown. As my air fryer is small I had to do it in a couple of batches. Love your videos and recipes ❤️

I made these tater tots last night! I used my steamed potatoes that I had in the fridge. They came out perfect! I used the grater attachment on my food processor. I used five Yukon gold potatoes. They did not need to be squeezed out. I don’t have tapioca flour so I left it out. They still came out pretty crunchy but I’m going to buy some so it’s even more crunchy. I followed the directions from your garlicky tater tots on your website. I have your book and I have tried so many recipes and they are all fantastic. Do you have a way we can make your ranch dressing without nuts? My son is losing weight following your way of eating but he cannot have nuts in the dressing. Thank you for a great video. I love all your videos and your recipes!

Thanks for the recipie. I certainly will try it. Here's a tip for forming the patties easier. Take a jar lid with about a 1/2 inch lip. Line it with plastic wrap. Pack in the potatoe mixture and invert onto the baking sheet. Peel off the plastic wrap and voila---a perfect pattie and very little mess and very quick and easy. This method works for any type of pattie. Blessings

Ive tried them with the shredded potatoes from the store and using steamed potatoes and shredding them with a grater but something is missing. I think maybe because my potatoes are cooked all the way when steaming them and then when seasoning them they kind of like mashed potatoes. I might need to cook them halfway instead of all the way done. I love your recipe. I use the potatoes in the bag called simply potatoes.
