    why is everyone so worried about the launch party? what does that matter? lol.
    I think this is the best Tudor release thus far.

    I don’t want a Tudor sub. I have a sub. I also have a blue fxd and wanted a black and here it is. More excited about this than any other release this year. I don’t understand why so droll. It’s a beauty piece.

      Firstly, thanks for watching. Many people have it in their head that one day a Tudor Sub will be re-released. The out of the blue announcement of a new model, paired with a teaser video featuring lots of heavy reference to the Tudor submariner was only ever going to lead on people with those thought in their head I suppose. Sorry for appearing droll, just a bit underwhelmed following the big fanfare. As stated the watch looks great and is a killer piece. The monotone appearance only improves versatility.

      Same here. I can’t wait to get one of these! It looks amazing in a way the blue dial and reverse countdown bezel never did!

      100% agree! After wearing the black variant for a few weeks, I like this watch more and more everyday. The matte treatments make for a chameleon in various lighting conditions… even get grey (925) vibes sometimes.

    Can’t stress how crisp and refined the new FXD is. Makes my lhd feel like a hunk of lead.

      Hey hey, easy there! I own said “hunk of lead” (or rather “hunk of titanium” grade 2). And now I own this as well. I love them both. I take my FXD in places where I wouldn’t take my LHD. FXD=Ocean, LHD=Pool. LOL, cheers!

    There was always going to be a black version of the blue (i.e. Marine Nationale) Pelagos FXD. It was always inevitable, IMO. Looking to the future, the a maroon coloured option wouldn't amaze me. Or Green - if that isn't reserved for Rolex? But black - that had to happen.
    (I'm an owner of the MN - which is an absolutely first rate watch for casual/vacation/outdoor use.)

    I love my MN FXD. It spoiled me. No spring bars - no worries. Satisfyingly long hands that reach the edges of the dial perfectly. I now am annoyed when I see short hands that cannot reach the indexes. Before I was lost looking for a watch that would suit my taste. With its utilitarian and almost brutalist design, the FXD is my go to watch and now I have no desire to purchase anything else...

    I’m glad it’s not a milsub. There’s enough Rolex copies in this world already

    I’m a retired US Navy CDR and can say with ALL certainty that the Tudor FXD has NOTHING to do with the US Navy. Let’s keep it real. Nice watch, tho. I prefer the Frenchy version

    Some people are still pining for a cheap Submariner from Tudor, just as they wish they could go back in time and buy bitcoins for a dollar. Thats very silly. If Rolex were to design a milsub today, for a military client, it would be this FXD. Its affordable, rugged, top quality, and meets the specs. No military would want to buy a remake from the 70s. So rejoice and live in the modern era! Its like today's astronauts, none of them goes to space with the original Moonwatch, they use x33, although they receive both from Nasa.

    I think you are missing the mark here. The ultimate sub is the Rolex and now this is the closest thing to it.
    The color black is a game changer and now an actually usable bezel is huge. The red Pelagos is icing on the cake.
    I believe in time they will come out with this same watch with a titanium bracelet then this along with the FXD variant will be the ultimate dive watches for the foreseeable future surpassing even the Rolex sub for bang-4-the buck.

      I find the countdown bezel so much more useful than a standard bezel personally

    It’s crazy, how it’s appealing to the US market but the country that has the largest consumers of luxury goods is South Korea.

    I really like the carbon FXD chrono but without the Alinghi and Red Bull marking which is tacky. But forged carbon is a really cool material, stronger than titanium and 3x as light.

    • @underthecuffofficial
      @underthecuffofficial  11 месяцев назад +1

      The only material characteristic that forged carbon lacks from its metallic counterparts is hardness, making it susceptible to scratches and chips.
      I too would love an unbranded Carbon version, which I suspect will eventually find its way into the stable of production for Tudor at some point in the future, and eventually trickle down into “better value” brands such as Timex et al.

    For a video titled The Tudor FXD- US Navy Edition....I didn't see much watch. Not at all.

    I think it has a 60 click bezel instead of the 120 found on the MN.
    Also, isnt the FXD line already a Pro watch so adding a model with the Pro wording would surely be redundant?

    • @underthecuffofficial
      @underthecuffofficial  Год назад

      Wel that’s kinda my point that I made in a backward sort of way. That the BB Pro wasn’t very pro which leads me to wonder, what IS a “pro” Tudor

      Would a 39mm FXD be in direct competition with the 39mm Pelagos?

    • @underthecuffofficial
      @underthecuffofficial  Год назад +1

      Not really I think, because the 39mm BB Pro is a GMT with normal lugs. A 39mm FXD would be a time only watch with fixed lugs.
