The game areas in Michigan are not meant to be a park. They need to have a way for them to pay for their use just like hunters have to pay for it right now, as well as we have a season we are allowed to be in the game area hunting they shouldn't be allowed to operate during that time and anyone that is recreating should be wearing bright color clothing like "hunter orange" imo.... Hunters front the bill with the Pittman and Roberts act..... All the recreation activity on game areas only push deer into private property that doesn't allow hunting. Everyone is complaining about the deer issues and that deer hunter numbers are way down and the deer numbers are way UP that's because we don't have undisturbed access to hunt deer because the game areas we pay for have become a park trail system... I'm looking at you Oakland, Washtenaw, Livingston, Wayne Countys every 50 yards in a 150-200 acre game area it's a type of trail .... How can i safety shoot a firearm with so many unknown trails systems and what type of actively Is on it, for example a speeding e-bike may not be in my view when i decide it's safe to shoot a deer and end up killing a person. I don't want that to happen and that's why i want others to understand game areas are meant to be game areas, and "game" doesn't mean a play ground. In Michigan, state game areas are units of land managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Deer are a natural resource, recreation is not.
