Honestly, I’m glad fighterz gave him back his title as strongest character in any game he appears in. It reminds me of the old ps2 dbz games.

MAN OH MAN was this one a doozy. Love how you transitioned between different acts of sweet mountain, I wouldn't have known they were separate tracks if I didn't listen to them regularly myself (planet wisp next???). It seems like every time I notice something wack during my time on DBFZ, a MoldyBagel video comes out on it in about a month to explain it to me. 9.8/10, 0.2 points lost for giving me flashbacks to all the fusion monkeys I dealt with the other day
Z Broly Too
When ss4 gogeta first came out, people didn't know his true potential yet. Wasn't until people started playing him with a new mindset, and a few minor buffs that pushed him over the edge. The DragonBalls are still useless, but that level 7 is much more powerful than people were making it out to be. It's so hard to punish finish sign on reaction cause it's so fast, and a lot of times can get you smoked by his light speed normals. Finish sign is an extremely powerful pressure tool in every way.
236H is a "fuck neutral" move, 214MH is just hard to react to cause all of a sudden there's a spinning monke in the air after whatever standing Normals, a command grab that has such a smooth animation it easily catches people off guard. He doesn't stop a bit to do the grab sequence, he just goes into it with the same pace as all of his other moves. On paper, he doesn't seem all that insane, but he has the ability of psychological warfare. Basically UI with more mix.
I have been seeing Z Broly a lot too, but he's less trouble due to the fact that he's g i a n t. I also forgot to mention the fact that these characters, in my opinion, just aren't fun to play against. Nothing new, nothing interesting, nothing in the brain except monkey_noise.mp4.

Thank you for making this. I'm honestly starting to get sick of fighting the fusions, particularly Vegito and SSJ4 Gogeta. When I recover in the air only to be immediately hit by an auto combo, it makes me want to refund the game. Even with Ultra Instinct, I at least got used to him and know how to fight him now. The fusions? Nope. Just pray they don't hit you with one of their million options.

@@MoldyBagel For me I mained Blue Gogeta before he was good so it makes me annoyed that now everyone is spamming Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Blue Vegito and giving Blue Gogeta a bad rap. My team at the end of Season 3 was Blue Gogeta Super Saiyan Vegeta and DBS Broly and I'm both annoyed that the fusions are becoming Meta and slightly satisfied.

I've been playing Vegito for most of the game's lifespan. I really like all three fusion characters, they all have the coolest and flashiest moves. So I like to change between the three a lot, they're all just so fun to play

Honestly my favorite thing about the fusions are the supers, definitely some of my favorite in the game, especially Gogeta blue

Yeah ironically enough Gogeta 4 is just the biggest middle finger to UI Goku and most of the other Goku's in general. Though I think Base and Super Saiyan Goku with maybe Goku Black are among the best counters for him, then the other fusions show up and make it even harder. Goku Black mainly gets around Gogeta 4s and Vegito's shit to an extent. Instant Transmission combined with God Slicer and a good beam makes him go from the worst all-around character to among the best just by his patches. Unfortunately he needs a great deal more skill to use effectively whereas Vegito can just mash and open you up a lot of the time just by using 3 moves.

Btw, seeing your point @8:17 to 8:35, made me really wish you could do a vid that breaks down the "combo rules" and what makes damage scaling "tick". I have a rough idea more so now a days from the scrambled vids I've seen and wiki entries I've read here and there. But still having a rough time putting it together in a practical sense to apply it when trying to figure new optimal stuff. You have a knack of presenting this sort of "nitty gritty" stuff for the "layman" pretty well
But regardless if you do or not, still eagerly await your next top notch vid my dude!!!
damn i was hoping that part conveyed it well enough shit. basically rule of thumb is the easier it is to hit someone with a move, the less damage the combo will deal. there's not much of a point going deeper than that as you can mostly infer for yourself what will be the highest and lowest damage starters.

But that segment i pointed out in the vid is super eye opening and valuable to me regardless. Nice new "rule of thumb" I can keep the back of my head when approaching this game now. @@shman5000o if I had to pick a general rule, I’d just say people always point out “medium starters” for a reason
Scaling is hard to calculate when you're just trying to figure out how to get an extra 50 damage just to be as optimal as possible. For example, there's a Roshi combo that gives you 2 opportunities to use 6s, but using it twice does less damage than not doing it at all, using it at the second chance gives you a bit more damage, but only using it at the first gives you the most damage. So far I haven't seen any explanation of how to calculate scaling, so until then I'm just gonna be labbing looking for the optimals.

There aren't 3 Goku - Vegeta fusions, just two. Gogeta Blue even has some of SS4's moves, but that didn't stop the dlc...
Both blues are a lot of fun with their unique mechanics, but when playing with friends Gogeta Red is typically off-limits. Finding out he had even more ways to abuse his power is terrifying - though it is worth mentioning his super can scale below an instant kill with tags involved. Small victories.
yeah i suppose the way i worded it you could argue there's 2 or 4 forms total if you include ssj gogeta. i guess i was referring more to the reuse and rehashing of one idea. either way yeah it's kinda an error
People say Gogeta Blue has some of SS4 Gogeta’s moves, but in reality it is only the Big Bang Kamehameha. All his specials are different, his level 1 is unique (and if we want to count the level 7 since it behaves very differently then go ahead but I’ll understand if you don’t), and I’m pretty sure his normals are different. Even his reflect is different. In DBS: Broly, Blue didn’t have any party poppers, a blink that hurts the opponent, or a counter he stands still and it’s revealed that he hit you 14 times.

@@theomnigamer9177 You seem to be confused. What happened isn't that they grew to share moves, but that Gogeta Blue was given moves from all Gogetas. For example, the weird grab is from SS Gogeta, and the "Find the real one!" thing appears to be derived from SS4's fight with Omega Shenron, before the party poppers.
@@theomnigamer9177 standing heavy, Big Bang kamehameha, afterimage kamehameha, and air down heavy are all based on ssj4 Gogeta.

And it explains WHY they have become/are good by highlighting the things that make you a strong character in the game
Usually the convo about them devolves in to complaining, and people complain about fusions because
1) They are part of the current competitive meta
2) They are popular, leading to them being played a lot
3) Anytime anything is good in this game, people meme it to death and complain about it
I just hope it doesn't turn into a GT Goku situation or a Bardock situation, where they start getting the nerf hammer while other strong characters are mostly left alone, because I don't think any of them are as good as those characters peaks
(And personally I would probably put Z Broly, 21, and maybe Base Geta above them rn even, except for SSJ4 Gogeta)

I love how this seriously confirms something Maximilian Dood's been saying, in the sense that watching this video really makes me realize that defeating a good Gogeta SSJ4 is stupidly hard and genuinely unfair down to a quantifiable, mathematic level. He's like the Anti-Esports character, he is _designed_ to be the broken character he always was in every single game he was in

He was disappointing in Legends.... until they gave him equipment that let him solo teams. One of my favorites is in a BT3 lp where he's described as "punching at the speed of murder and excels at making the game not fun"

Sweet mountain act 2 is one of my favourite sonic tracks and i have never recalled hearing that solo before from the many years of reloading this track. Here i thought there was another alternate version or a most likely a remix but it was implemented so smoothly that it sounded official.
