I'm very sad to say that I am related to a Genshin Impact player. I miss my brother, but he hasn't left his room in 4 years, I think he's dead but I'm not going to check. Everytime someone walks into the room and tries to get him off the playstation, he throws a huge fit and yells. That last part is sadly not a joke. Anyways, fun story time. I live in Northern California, the power up here is, pretty sucky, but we manage. 17 years old at the time, brother's Genshit addiction is in full swing. Power goes out, unplanned outage, nothing to worry about, it happens all the time. But then I hear this blood curdling screech. Not a scream, like it legit sounds like a pterodactyl. Then a loud crash, from me and my brothers SHARED room (remember that). I rush in thinking he's hurt or something. And then I cut my foot in something. I look down and see a SHATTERED controller. Here's the dialogue between me and my brother.
"Dude, what happened?"
"The power went out."
"I noticed, I'm talking about the controller on the floor"
"Oh I got mad."
I look down and notice my blood, then the pain from the cut comes in.
"Sh__!"
I go fix my foot wound, and then my Dad says, "Oooo, your gonna need a liquid bandage for that." This isn't the first time I've had to use liquid bandage before, so I'm not happy. To summarize the rest of the story I tell my Dad about the controller, and how calm my brother was afterwards. He just says that he really needs to get off the game and go outside. I agree with him, the wound heals and the story is over.

@@lordz19 thankfully I've moved away recently so I won't have to deal with him anymore. However I will be there for Christmas, hopefully nothing goes wrong.

I like Genshin Impact but to be honest a big chunk of the genshin community is horrible they can't handle getting any hate or any sort of criticism towards the game like some people are not going to like the game chill - lol

As a AR 60 player, all of your criticism of the game is valid. There are still so many QoL things that players are begging for but Genshin won't implement it. Like:
-Skip button for those who wanna skip story (and the ednless NPC quests like wtf I also wanna mute Paimon her voice is cringe in all languages)
-Replay button for those who wanna revisit older quests
-Endgame content
-Artifact set slots
-Harder content
-Fixing character kits
-Fixing character models
-Making the open world more relevent cuz when you find all chests in one country then you have no reason to ever go back to explore that place

Honestly, I love your comedy man. As someone who loved Genshin I know that the fan base is horrible, and I always tell people that if they wanna get into Genshin then don’t get involved with the community. At the very least stay off Twitter. There are a lot of talented people making art and such on the Reddit. I know Genshins not for everyone and I don’t expect it to be. Love your videos keep up the good work 👍

You said minus three billion credits, when what was written was minus three hundred billion credits. Only reason I am able to point this out is because I've gone outside my house and learned about grass.
You said you touch grass, when you are complaining about small mistakes that doesnt matter. The only reason I was able to point this out is BECAUSE I HAVE COMMON SENSE, GROW A PEAR AND GROW UP

@@senritsujumpsuit6021 I genuinely wanted to try it and see if I could enjoy it, but I just felt it wasn’t for me. The character system was confusing and the controls didn’t play the best. Sure the graphics are incredible but that’s the one thing I could find being good with the game.

I am 11 months late but i really enjoyed the vid considering i started playing genshin since launch pretty much due to one of my friend recommending it to me to play with him. at first it was super fun no doubt i felt like i got this world where i can use these anime characters magical power freely which was kind of a dream i guess for a lot of people not just me. and like like a degen i was i spent about easily 12-15 hours every single day playing that game. i reached ar 56 pretty early in the game i think at that time in eu lobbies i never saw anyone ar 56 except one or two people even in genshin server itself.
People who tell you that game is hard after ar 40? is wrong cause it never does get hard. i did all the storyline of the game and let me tell you it is very short for a degen like me i used to finish them within a day most of the time which ofcourse got it very boring for me since i had nothing else to do which ultimately made me spend money on the game like a degen i was. i ended up spending around $2,500 in Genshin and i found myself not enjoying the game even after having pretty much every 5 star in the game. everyday was just a grind. it felt like a job to play the game i just used to open game use all resin and do daily missions and close it quickly cause i was so fed up with it.
ultimately i realized what genshin was doing.
genshin basically made the game for 2 factors,
1. story line
2. anime
so now that people's dream was fullfilled to enjoy playing with anime characters they ofc would want to get that shiny "5 stars" now to get them ofc 99% would have to spend money and thats the gacha trap.
people who defend the game saying you can finish the game with 4 stars or get a 5 star if you grind,
well firstly as i cleared game is purely for having fun with character powers and its a repetitive gameplay hence ofc to make it feel somewhat new you needed new characters and they are either blocked behind an insanely grindy thing or a paywall. now even if you grind in like 2-3 months u may get ur fav character but thats if you do get lucky in 50/50. another scummy way to cheat players.
so both points people use of "finish with 4 stars" or grind for 5 stars is just dumb take.
i won't be waiting for 4 months to get the next chapter of story. what am i gonna do? use my 4 stars killing a fatui or whatecver for billionath time or spend resin idk it wa sjust not for me. thats when i realized how scummy that game was and still is. and for someone who doesn't believe me that i've didn't play the game since launch or anything well i can give my uid if its really necessary.
do i regret spending money in it? for sure 100%
do i think game concept is bad? no not at all
its the way its presented is bad. the scummy tactics is what gets me and the repetitiveness is also annoying for any grinder out there. like seriously its a headache.

As someone who played genshin daily for about 1.5 years, i hate the genshin community. And these comments made me hate it even more, especially the schizo that acted like those characters are attacking you. I have no ideea how you can turn out like that but i sure hope i never will.

Yeah the genshin community can be pretty cringe tbh. That being said I still disagree with a decent chunk of the points you made. While the game does take a lot of inspiration from breath of the wild, this is surface level. Zelda is an action adventure game, genshin is an RPG where you essentially are trying to optimize your stats to deal as much damage as possible and/or as quickly as possible. It's kind of like how sonic levels are pretty easy to beat, but the real challenge comes from beating the stage as fast as possible. The guy you got to Collab I can guarantee had to do a decent amount of optimization to get his hu tao (which is also the strongest unit in the game) to one shot the kenki. Regardless you probably won't read this comment but if you do, you probably should have done a little more research into the combat since it would scratch some of that magic itch that you discussed in a recent video.

Even if he is serious at the end of the day, he doesn't need to be objective to dislike genshin. Yeah, his points are lacking at best, which leads to many people copying his half assed ideas, but we can just ignore them, lol
@@kurodo9926 yeah you don't have to like a game, it's just annoying when someone says a game is bad and then cite reasons that are just up to personal preference. It really is irritating because like what you said earlier about copying and that there are ACTUAL legitimate problems with genshin that are worth addressin, but people always tend to just talk about the community, basic similarities to botw and the fact that it's a looter shooter action rpg hybrid. Like there's a bad resin system that leads to burn out and a gambling system that exploits people for money, bam there are some actual bad parts of genshin, not that hard.

Ik this video is old, but im commenting anyways. Im a Genshin player at AR45, and boy does the game get boring. After you finish the main story quests and world quests, the game gets stale. Really stale. All you do is farm materials and primos. I barely play it these days. The music and graphics are the only redeeming qualities of it. The characters do have good designs, but most of them have the personality of a cardboard box, except for a few, such as Furina and Itto. The bosses are barely even bosses, just enemies with more health and flashier attacks. The difficulty is so ridiculous that I'd say false knight is harder than the first major boss in Genshin. Overall, the game is good visuals and ost wise, but is lackluster in many other aspects.
