The lesson I will take from this episode is that Statue is the best character and I should always take it
hmm, that seems right
Also if you didn't hit your 1-side the last two turns, you're sure to hit it this turn.
I cannot believe that statue just kept showing up for work with 5 xs. What a lad.
statue absolutely in the run
i physically pogged when i saw your last blue getting offered up
I have especially warm feelings for Scrapper, since he was the star of the first run that I won. There are several mechanisms in the game that allow generating ridiculous value with steel and charged being the 2 most obvious ones. Steel is a bit harder to pull off, but its doable.
i was a hater but i've seen the light in recent days
That Hexia fight was something to behold, godamn
Absolutely fantastic. I feel so much love for my boy bash and his caw breakpoint even if he sat on the sidelines and watched dice rolls.
Big ups to cantrip shenanigans.
Sushi Triple Shuriken Roulette is one of the stupidest heroes i've seen on a *while*, holy fuck that popped off *hard*. The Sorcerer/Poet as other cantrip users to extend Chain/Provide re-rolls/re-roll value was just kinda bullying. Really proves how hard these less reliable characters can highroll lmao
yeah that combo is kinda wicked
I'd put Sushi on Statue to keep the big attack. And on Bash with Shuriken and Patch on Roulette - now that big attack would have Cantrip. And Nunchaku on Bash too, but not on Hexia.
I'd still enjoy seeing complex hard from time to time, though certainly not as frequent as regular runs.
statue making you eat your word about being a 'dead' charater is the best
Decline to rate. Wanderer not offered.
Random is fun tho lol. I feel you
without randomness you get a solvable game that loses its novelty, like frostpunk, so i accept it as a necessary evil
Fair enough
Nice run. Eyepatch is great for Ghast, Bash, Barbarian, and Roulette. Also, it can make Wand Grips (Tier 6; +2/single-use to left side) not terrible. I guess there's also synergy with the Wooden Bracelet (Tier 7; +1 to all sides with no keywords) and maybe Wandcraft (Tier 8; replace all sides with single use mana sides) to get a big reusable mana side. Of course it is bananas with any of the heroes if you get the Silk Cape (Tier 9; copy left side to middle row) to give them 4 of their best side, but that's either gonna be for only a single fight or getting a certain blessing while playing Cursed-Hyper mode that lets you start with the Silk Cape for each subsequent run. Tier 9 also has the Dumbbell (+4 to all sides >4) and Helm of Power (x2 to left side), but the game is pretty much over by then.
I think it's basically good for removing pain, death, exert, and single-use keywords that show up a lot, so I looked for those. Obviously, Artificer has a single-use left, but removing the keyword also removes the self-heal from it, so you're getting a 3-damage side. Woo.
all i can see is "common artificer L" i wonder if they changed his model so he wont look like a discord mod would increase his pick rate, also eyepatch goes nuts with more heroes if you pick up any side switcheroos on the t1 item
Wow talk about a cantrip fest by the end! That Hexia fight was crazy easy and you had 10 extra rerolls on the first turn! 🤣😂 💯
I enjoyed the complex hard and would enjoy alternating between the two
Cantrips are so fun
So glad to see Scrapper getting some love. He's one of my favorites, so I was wondering why you didn't like him. There's lots of ways to stack up shields with items and grays that have not much value usually, but they're so good with Scrapper and his steel sides. The bloodlust is also nice because its power only falls off as the fights get under control.
i think the steel side is a bait, it requires other characters to be donating their dice to scrapper for it to see any sort of meaningful return, which i don't like. the bloodlust side is just really good
@@Voyix Yeah, I can feel that. I have a similar mind about the pain sides, since they require dice to do any damage after the first usage or so. It's at least nice to be able to turn most grays' results into damage via pain or steel.
@@Voyix i dont think steel sides are baits, it helps greys with no big hits contribute damage, considering you missed his bloodlust ofcourse
@@Voyix In my opinion, steel is only good if you need to put shields on the scrapper for some other reason (e.g. half the monsters are targeting him). It has some other edge case uses (it's pretty easy to build several small dice into one 4-damage hit for zombies or ghosts), but for the most part...bloodlust.
