12:41 lifeweaver emoting on petal as mauga falls into the hole lmao
This, they could have grabbed him.
Hahaha
@@FlibbleBeck sometimes lifeweavers just wanna be silly

my worst fear is being a random in one of emonggs videos
That sounds awesome though. Eh, to each their own.
@@loganandrepont1437 honestly i’m just horrible at the game so it would be a nightmare for me lol
I was playing venture in qp and when the other team started losing their support said venture needs "no skill" and were over all being salty.
My response?
"I can dig that"
Actually, venture is like a DPS Doom 👍
Venture's ult doesn't take a lot of skill, but his kit does.
@@thedude0000 Not really. Resource management is practically 0 with venture, cooldowns are so fast they can play almost braindead, without the need to plan things out.
@@derunfassbarebielecki played with him enough to see good and bad venture players. There's skill involved.
Take Moria...zero skill required to play her.
@@thedude0000 What unique skill does it take to play venture? Their cooldown cycle isnt complicated, their damage is pretty high, ult has decent damage. Not dying immediately because you dived 1v5 isnt skill, its your opponents lack of skill and game sense.
I made one mistake while on venture and my tank started flaming me
I feel you 😢
As a tank should
Lol I’m joking one is fine
@@going2021 lol
I got a 81% win rate on venture this season so far. Albeit the sample size is only 21 games. But somehow I still get flamed for picking them which is outrageous, because my career profile is public for everyone to see I have had great success with venture so far
I've come across multiple people in multiple different games complaining saying that at least one of the dps are a Venture one trick. They can be good or bad but all depends
A good Venture is a nightmare to go against!
Honestly I'd say it's because people don't know how to play around venture yet so they blame them because it's an easy thing to do (I've had the same happen to me while playing with illari when she first came out, the flaming goes away eventually after the hero has been out for some time. But I hope that doesn't discourage you from playing whoever you like)
No one is checking career profiles without being prompted to do so, especially not mid-game.
You might be good with Venture but most players aren’t. How could they be? The hero just came out. Honestly if I’m playing comp I’d rather have teammates playing characters they know how to play instead of experimenting with a new character. For every good Venture you’re gonna get 5-6 that are just drilling into the enemy team and dying, or even worse, drilling out of the fight while the rest of the team fights 4 on 5.
I've been playing a *lot* of Venture since the season started, so a couple tips for their tech
1- When you respawn, burrow, drill dash during burrow, and then when the burrow ends, you'll have another drill dash for extra distance. This gives you a ton of speed out of spawn and is a pretty good rollout in my experience
2- Due to the halved cooldown when dashing during burrow, you can pretty much always dash at the start of a burrow for free speed and distance, while having the drill again once you get out for even more survivability
3- Going in with burrow, doing damage with it, and then drilling out can be a really good way to rack up ult charge and damage for practically free. Just make sure you know where you're dashing out so you don't end up in a bad spot and die for it
Otherwise a lot of my advice is the same as Emongg. Work on drill dash accuracy, work on target focus to help your team out, and have a little more awareness of where the enemy team is going so you aren't setting up a flank forever away from where they actually are
Her*
@@urmom69ing them*
One more thing I'd like to add is their burrow instantly reloading their ammo. The way things tend to time out for me, when my cooldowns have refilled is usually when I'm running out of ammo, so I often hit left shift instead of reloading, as it leaves me way less vulnerable. Not always the right play, but it can be really helpful.
@@urmom69ing Devs have already confirmed they/them, so calling Venture "her" is objectively false.
If you wanna believe this because you'd be upset otherwise, that's up to you. But don't force your beliefs onto others just because you're offended.
@@EnlightenedLazor calling a singular person a plural. Is completely false no matter how brain dead some devs are
4:05 this is the very definition of what it means to play unranked/low ranks. Sombra and many other dive characters are literally invisible to many players unless they're actively shooting them. Being a support player in unranked is signing a death sentence cuz nobody sees divers rolling their backline
I got flamed yesterday and accused of hacking. People are either hating you because you are slightly under performing or hate you because you do too well.. you never can win with some people it feels like.
What I've been doing with venture is something like that tech doom mains do when they use one ability to go in and do some damage and built ult charge, and leave with the other ability. So I go in with burrow, make try to make the jump on several enemies because of the AOE, try to hit at least o one or two shots while up in the air, and go back to my team with drill dash. That way im building the ult a bit fast. This is mostly when there is no way to go in that easy or it is too risky to try to get a pick. It's been holding up pretty good for me, so I'm sharing this tech for those who who want to main them.
I love this character, they are so cool and fun to play
As an essentially Silver player, it is amazing how many people flame others...like they are not just as bad as I am. SMH.
I've become a Venture main for DPS and i'm genuinly loving it, I used to hate playing DPS after switching to Tank and Support after a long time of not playing. Been discovering alotta tech and strats and so far it's going well.
So you like it because it is going well. You forget people are not used to venture yet.
3:45 ok my biggest problem with them right now is they keep getting hacked by the sombra turning to look at her and just waiting for the hack to end. Like why are you not shooting her? You could at least do a shot into drill or something
That's true.
Mauga flaming Venture is canon.
Let's be honest, activating ult with a fresh bob behind you isn't a "I'm still learning the hero" thing. (unless 'still learning' means you don't know what Venture's ult does) Anybody and everybody could tell you that's a bad idea for a lot of heroes.
Hey, I have a question for anyone who can help me out. I'm trying to play rank with my brother(plat dps), and im(silver support). Where having a problem of the game is telling us we need to be in the same group. I thought wide group was added. Is there a way to fix it
I feel like somehow I’m lucky nobody has come at my throat in comp playing Venture. I try and be very communicative as to what I’m doing and who my target focus might be, (Ex: supports, potentially target priority switch to a low health DPS/Tank).
ALRIGHT SO!
ALRIGHT SO!
Today's video we're spectating our first ever Venture
an important tip ive found is if you are trying to escape with dig, ALWAYS pre-emptive dig, once your at half hp, you are in the "death zone" where if you use the ability, theres no guarentee you will make it, its a LOT harder to predict when your going to dig under when you have 50% of hp to work with rather then 25%. not to mention, if your at low hp, people will naturally focus you down to get the kill, which trust me, is REALLY noticeable within that small cast time.
basically, if you miss the combo you go underground and gtfo
I've had a Venture in Competitive on day 1 of the patch locking him in and saying in chat 'I don't know how to play Venture lol'
Well he was telling the truth, went 3-9, didn't swap, other DPS could not carry and everyone was really salty at him, even the enemy team expressed condolensces.
Just play Venture a few times in QP before trying him in Comp, please people.
whenever venture is picked theres always a war in chat
venture has taken me from p5 (all time high) to d5 in this week bruh
p4 to d2😭
I feel like really need to work on their uptime. "Damage, damage, damage" - if it's safe to do so.
there is no peel in this game
cheese fries
I’ve not been flamed even once due to “playing a new hero” as my team would say haha
Oh no, its me from years ago. Flats would keep cooking past burnt.
The positioning isn’t all that bad, what they really need to work on is tracking numbers. They go in down 3, very stagger prone playstyle. It works here but yeah, numbers.
Their positioning was atrocious lmao wtf do you mean?
they’re positioning on 3rd round was definitely something…. they would see the enemy team right in front of them but would still go in that little room and wait for them to push which is a very silly play style i could slightly understand the tank’s frustrations cause if i had a dps who was sitting idle during team fights id also get upset
Do you have any control on the viewpoint? You always seem to spectate someone on team 2 which means the enemies are in white and allies are in red and it confuses me a lot being used to the default which is the opposite.
Are you doing this deliberately or do you not have any control over this small thing?
There is no way to control who is team 1 and who is team 2 in a replay.
I've liked the video, left a comment, and subbed to the RUclips
only 4 minutes in and im going to say, they definitely need to be more aware. the sombra revealed herself multiple times and somehow didnt see nor capitalize on it too much
I would say for venture you should shoot the feet or the ground if you know your missing your shots they do splash damage
why does hitting the feet make splash dmg more accurate? i’m a noob don’t judge me 🤣
@@euuuughhhh7799 doing damage is better then no damage
@@amyramirez2011 i guess i’m confused because if they can’t hit the body they probably can’t hit the feet too. do feet have a bigger hit box or something?
@euuuughhhh7799 , if you shoot at the body, your drill can pass by. You shoot at the feet(the ground) you do splash damage
@@bartuhkiss oh okay thanks! i haven’t played them yet so i didn’t know how the drill works
If they could aim this game would be way different
They love the character, they should play them. Thats what these spectates are for, to help them improve! Also have to say that at some point, comp is all you can develop in, as qp either gives you memers, skill gaps and inconsistent teams, it only carries you so far.
Venture is going to get nerfed, not sure why people are trying to get so comfortable with it for competitive?
I think she needs also to buy new headset
I feel that most of these videos, the players i guess, would have a better time if there coms to actually call out the sombra. In stead of pinging, also this player seems allergic to team play, did enjoy the smart play when they were with the team.
I'd not pretend that I'm sneaky with venture, but know that they'll see you and then just go past the front and kill back line
Gotta be honest they weren’t great or anything, but their team was ass
Cant believe this person was silver! I've seen this level of gameplay easily in high gold. They should be able to climb very soon
well, rank is really just how you play on average
@CalamariZander well true I guess, I assume this is their average sort of game that's why they sent it in. Could be one of their better games tho
I wouldn't say so really?? their aim wasn't great, its like they're looking slightly at the floor always
@basiIiscos well aim isn't ever a really good indicator of rank, aim can always improve for everyone. Ive seen diamonds with horrible aim, silver dps with aim better than some plats. More so what's impressive his is play making ability and his game sense is much better than what I usually see from silver. His aim really isn't bad enough to hold him in silver, not even close. I see him climbing up very very soon
Lol no
click baity title no? since atleast in the message emong was given it wasnt mentioned that they got flamed for playiing Venture. It was just the tank who decided to pull out the dictionary during the game and flame his teammates.
The person is prob going up in ranks if they keep doing as they are funny thing is that they spendt some time on map 3 trying to get the boop and death on someone and then the opposing Venture precedes to do that instead.
I think releasing Venture in ranked right away was a bad idea. There's no way anyone can play that hero as well as others that there's has been more time to play. Most people will tell you that playing characters you are practiced with are better than trying to play "meta". If you are doing well, then it's whatever, but if you have many deaths as Venture and the rest of the team doesn't then you should practice them in QP and arcade.
You’re assuming that players in Bronze and Silver are exceptionally better with their previous main. Based on how this player played, I doubt they would’ve done significantly better with any other character
@@Watermelon_Mani agree, for the most part they played well, they just kept making small mistakes that added up.
@@Watermelon_Man I kinda agree, but my advice is for the general masses, not this particular player.
the reason they did is bc of the test period, when venture was playable before release. in the two weeks it would have been before the usual rank unlock, people would have gotten much more experience with them than during the preview weekend and that would have caused more problems. generally speaking, if someone picks venture right off the bat, then they played that hero during the preview and they already have a handle on the abilities, as opposed to someone like me who wasn't able to play during that weekend; there's no way i would play venture in ranked without going to qp first and getting used to their kit, and most people are going to think similarly. that added time (the extra week of lockout) only widens the gap between players who have actually gotten good at venture and those don't play them as often, and that discrepancy creates even more toxicity than having venture available from the start when everyone is still learning how to play with, around, and against them.
I think most silver players are new to the game so it doesn't really matter much that the character is new, most characters are new to new players
How do you keep missing so widely with the shots? They are small explosives. You can spam them at chokes for at least some damage
Better genji 😢
Also a better reaper
much more brainless
Easier Genji too
Obligatory comment since he said to leave one.
ye 1st
shes so annoying 😭😭
I don't think Venture should be in Comp so early. That's a dev problem though.
Venture needs to be nerfed. Their one shot combo is so annoying to play against
Shoutout to the nonbinary gamers out there, doing their thing
Silver 4 on console is all I needed to hear. Too soon to be playing the latest hero in comp at that rank
I’ll be honest, it also bothers me when people play Venture in comp. It’s a brand new character, people can’t possibly be that good with her yet. If they want to workshop the new hero, do it in the arcade or quick play, it’s not fair to the other 4 players on the team that are trying to win to use a competitive game as a lab to experiment with the new hero.
Really mediocre. Lucky to be silver but I'd say that for the whole team. No teamwork, awareness of your team mates. Lame game
This gameplay is way better than bronze, trust me. There’s at least a semblance of synergy
This person has horrible aim, especially for being a controller player… you can’t just dismiss it and say “I’m not worried about the fact you miss shots it comes with time” when the player claims to be “stuck in silver for a long time” things like centering, increasing sensitivity a little, thinking and planning forward about your aim and where the enemy is moving to need to start being considered
She’s a pretty bad character
Twitch chat is delusional on this one.
1. You should NOT be practicing characters in comp.. that's what qp is for
2. Aim, positioning, spatial awareness, and CD impact were all just absolutely atrocious.
3. Silver is wayyy to high for this person lmao
man, this was on console, so that explains that aim
@@ciach0_y’all love blaming it all on console🥱
i definitely agree with the first one some people don’t realize how selfish they’re actions can be when playing comp. if you play a hero ur not that well at/barely know how to play ur denying ur team a resourceful teammate instead of just playing a character you’re well versed in. i think people need to open their eyes and realize they’re playing a TEAM game it’s not all about you.
@@ciach0_i feel like typically in low elos you see more missed shots in pc lobbies rather than console
Nah they’re not bad for console silver, we’ve definitely seen way worse in console gold
IVE NEVER BEEN THIS EARLY LEYLTS FUCKIMG GOOOO
