I think this Echo could benefit from changing their settings for the flight to hold to fly. Faster cooldown recovery and if you just tap the ability it lets you use the shift as a dash more than her slow floaty flight.
You can still do the tech with default settings. Just have to double tap shift with the right timing. Much easier than holding shift the whole time IMO
You should very rarely hold flight if u jump and do it u get more height and distance than u ever could holding the ability with also being able to get the cooldown back faster @@BlobThoughtsMTG
What is shift for controller people? Would that be the jump button?

this echo should definitely flank more. flight cooldown is so low you can get away with speedy flanks and still get out most of the time if it doesnt work out. flanks also just give you something to do when otherwise you would be just shooting at the tank down mid for a while.
i do also think though that they should start copying supports or dps, especially copying support ults can be super impactful.
i think the echo needed to share a different replay because in this replay they were obviously the best player in the lobby and that doesn't say enough.
They also were so lucky to have an amazing Ana/Mercy sup Elfcoffee with so many amazing saves who literally won last round for the whole team

nah this is a gold echo with decent aim and movement. their issues include but arent limited to. feeding their ult/not copying anyone else but mauga. not taking off angles or forcing 1v1s they havent edited their flight settings and if they are sending vods captioned with "i deserve to be higher" then they probably have a very weak competitive mindset as well. you can tell all of these things when you just face the fact that when an echo is in fact better than everyone else in the match. they seem to just take control of the whole match. similar to widow. This guy did not do that.

i feel like they couldve gone for the pharah more, its easy to kill her on echo and thats one annoying hero you could get rid of for your team
Did they ever go for her? It seemed like they were heavily focused on taking out the Mauga to me

5 minutes in and I already think this guy deserves to be in Plat, especially after watching that Plat 3 McCree from the Myster Bingo 3 days ago.
honestly people in the comment section are always way too harsh. This echo definitely played above their rank and probably will climb if they keep grinding. Tbf most people who say they deserve a higher rank don't but I think they played well
I mean it's 1 game, and people tend to submit their best games most of the time.
@@andreamicheli2575This game was also a very close one though. What I like to do for submissions like this are ones where I feel like my actions in a match should've given us the win, but we don't win, and I can't think of anything that I did wrong in the match.
I mean, that's just the Overwatch community in general, especially when Emongg does a spectating video. One good play? "This is obviously an ego vod." One bad play? "This person is so bad, they should be in paper towel 5"
I’m mainly a support player, but I really enjoy playing Echo, so I try to copy the supports with her ult. Especially if the enemy team has good offensive supports like Bap, Kiri, or Illari. Love that you suggested they copy Ana!

I play alot of fps games like apex, val, cod etc my favorite thing from one of the coaches called woohojin(hes a val coach) is when he says " send me a clip when you feel like your playing your best because that means your at the peak condition where everything clicks"
Even if you could be playing really well, it dosent mean that theres stuff you can't improve on but when u send in a good vod you can see all the rights your doing and try to minimize the wrongs. Which is what i like about emongg he tells you what your doing right and helps you focus on the wrongs so you can keep being consistent in what ur do right and grow from whats wrong.
Apart from the Junkrat swap it’s easy plat. Just listen to Emongg’s advice and you will be fine

I played against a gold echo earlier that was so good by comparison I can't judge
soloing a widow/cass thats been bothering them and t bagging after the kill

The Echo and other dps teammate seemed to be almost arguing because the Echo shot them after they respawned. May have been getting a bit tilted. Needs to keep a cool head

This echo for sure deserves plat. Naturally a strong player! Plays aggressive. Even without flanking and makes quick decisions. So imagine with even more stronger decisions to get them to Diamond!

Your stream chat is so used to bad gameplay that they start wailing on this Echo until they realize you don't have a ton of feedback xD. That's just what I get from the first round, so the second may be different.

I don’t think you get tank passive in echo ult, pretty sure you don’t get healer passive if you ult a support, so I assume it works the same way
No, you do get their passives, at least the support one. I've watched Echo's self heal on Kiri after trying to attack me without using suzu, so they had the little healing particles on them. I'm pretty sure Echo just copies the whole character, but with an HP limit.

Aside from them not flanking a wee bit more; it's not too bad of echo play.
Honestly, the biggest problem they have on offense is that theyre a mobility hero who doesn't leave the point. I can't quite tell if its because their teammates aren't pushing or if they're too afraid of that happening, but they need to do more flanking and more trusting the rest of his team to push.
Echo needs to flank to be effective otherwise there's no reason not to be playing any other character if you just spam the choke.
coming back to this video this is even more relevant now because of the projectile size changes making echo, an already not too hard character to hit, even easier to shoot down. So constantly being a menace on flanks is the way to go, and why not make use of the silent footsteps and surprise people so they turn around and waste their cooldowns on you?
Why is Echo's HP reduced when copying a Tank? Does it only apply for tank or any other role?
Just tank. Bc two tanks with full hp would be overpowered especially with how quick echo can build ult after transforming.

More specifically it fixes the problem of, "why would I Duplicate anything but a tank?" -the HP reduction allows Echo to consider other targets

ngl I'm a support main and my dps is Plat 1 and I deserve to be gold rather than diamond
I’ve played a lot of comp games with dps that have gotten 0 elims. I don’t think they deserve a rank up. I know everyone has bad games but 0 elims in a 10 min game is a little crazy.

their ability usage is weird esp their beams but their aim is preety average for plat tho
I don't think the ability useage was that weird. It just happens that every time beam came out they died before it actually hit or ice block

Emmong echo only has 3 seconds to fly. And yeah she can float, but it doesn’t keep her in the air long like mercy can. I know this because I play a lot of echo. None of the flanks you suggested would work playing as her
