In a time when 1st round picks are sitting out to prevent injury it makes me sooo nostalgic to see a guy with the Heisman trophy finishing runs the way he did. Rare Breed!!!
@lukevenable356 I am a Miami hurricanes fan so I watched in horror as he won twice and was a great person at the same time, but to call him a great thrower of the football is not true, clutch player yes but not an accurate thrower of the football.
@@MB-ji6qi At one point he led the nation in completion percentage. He was absolutely a very capable passer at Florida. His slow delivery just did not translate well at the next level
When he ran over the LSU safety and then got a push from two team mates, that was beautiful. Perfect team work in the middle of pure chaos. People dont understand how chaotic it is to be in the middle of that fray and still diligently keep the ball moving forward.
@@Himmyjewett Burrow may have had the best SINGLE season for a QB in college football, sure.... But best overall college football player ever? Burrow isn't even close. Let's put our critical thinking caps to good use here
He averaged 2 losses a year over his three year career as a starter while playing in the toughest conference with the toughest opponents, a conference championship game (back when those were optional) and big-time bowls. He essentially transferred dominance of CFB from Meyer and UofF to Saban and Bama when he went pro. And he was a Heisman finalist every year as a starter.
God... You forget how emotional Tim's voice is when he gives that epic post lose speech. Every team should be looking for a QB that cares that much!!! People argue about him still but Tebow was the face of college ball from his freshman year on, and he lost sooo few games. In my mind he was one of the most must watch players ever in college for me. I'd say Tebow, Reggie Bush, and Johnny Manziel were the biggest three players who got screwed by the NCAA not having any type of NIL deal...
As an LSU fan I have to give props to Tim Tebow. Most intimidating player I can ever remember facing. People like to clown on him now because of his struggles in the NFL and all the Christian stuff, but he was unstoppable in college
He should've been In Jacksonville a long time ago their revenue in sales would've increased for fans to see him as the hometown hero, wasn't the best qb but say what you want he helped broncos get to playoffs in the most unlikely way and win against the Steelers
Tebow wasn’t the kind of guy you wanted to mess with, he had the kind of talent that deserved to be left alone. But they definitely got into his head and tried to make him a pocket passer. Completely warped his throwing motion.
Sports media pundits started the narrative that Tebow couldn’t throw and it became all anyone could talk about when it came to him, to the point where when he got to Denver they made him change his throwing motion and it ruined him.
He's was like the Jalen Hurtz of his era except he was a better runner and one of the invigorated players in collegiate football history. If he was given a fair shot with speedy receivers like what Tua has then he would have had a pretty good NFL career and be a sports icon that everybody would would try to get to advertize their products. We were cheated as fans and sports enthusiasts.
NFL ruined the nicest ever college athlete of all time. Tebow coulda been great in the nfl if they woulda just let him play like they did at Florida. I always say Tim t and pat white was 10 years to early. Lamar ain’t got shut on either one of these guys. Makes me sad seeing how the nfl is now and how white or tebow didn’t have a nice career smh.

He’s a true Christian , I believe the reason why he did so bad in the nfl because the games were played on Sundays !! On the sabbath . Then the nfl trying to turn him into an Idol . It was never gonna happen. That play off game he won against Pittsburgh every one of his stats were 3:16 !!! Go watch that game . People were tripping even the last pass of the game they did a study on the play and the receiver ran so fast that is was humanly impossible to run that fast , it was crazy .
There was nothing wrong with Tebow as a QB the NFL coaches failed him because they want to change his throwing style. If he was winning National Championships and a Heismen why would you try to change him?
Gator fan here. Because his release was too slow. Every single NFL front seven defender was one of the fastest men on his college team. NFL QBs need a much faster release, ESPECIALLY if they have “run” in the back of their minds all the time. They weren’t trying to change everything about him. They wanted to make his release faster. It’s necessary for the NFL game.
God Bless turn to God. You should also read and spread the Gospel. God Bless you and your family. Repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior who died on the cross for our sins. Tebow's ONLY time starting in the NFL, with a 30th ranked Oline, 24th ranked defense, posted a winning record, AFC West Division Title, helped franchise reach the playoffs for the first time in six years, reached round 2 of the playoffs & beat #1 Defense in his playoff debut; with the most pass yards.
Tebow is the only QB ever drafted by Denver to ever win a playoff game. Stop the cap he was amazing that year. Btw he never started another game after 2011 and his playoff heroics vs Steelers
@@dannysmith6642He also took over the team when they were 1-4 and had notoriously conservative John Fox for a head coach. That's why he only dominated the last 5 minutes every game. Fox was always scared to win, even with Manning
I don’t know why the 2006 fiesta bowl Florida versus Ohio State was so badly filmed. There are many other games that you can search that are older at Florida or any other college that have better camera quality than that championship game.
When you look at some of the quarterbacks starters or not that had nowhere the talent and college career he had and are playing you know the NFL and na sayers for some reason were against him playing in the NFL.

To be fair running and finishing runs is what running backs do, which is what he was. Don't mean it in a bad way, he was a Football player, not a QB.

Praised for his skill and hated for his faith, no matter how you slice into him, as a force, Tim Tebow is the GOAT of College Football.
Whatever you’re doing to look this good, keep it up.
"hated for his faith" major culture war vibes. I hope you've eased up on the victimhood fetish after three years.

i think you mean the other way around 😂
One thing about tebow was that he gave 100% every game he played. God and team always stayed humble.
