Another great video from Darren; thank you. This is the first time I've heard of Dr Das and I found his professional experiences quite fascinating. I'll be visiting his channel also.

i would be prepared to say .. i have had a minor epiphany,
i have c-ptsd and depression ... i arrived at this minor epiphany with the help of my therapist and
    mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.

I’d be very keen to know about how often forensic psychiatrists change their opinions of defendants. Are they taking a scientific approach whereby an option (or hypothesis in the scientific world) is formulated and then evidence is sought to refute the opinion/hypothesis? Or is it the other way around where confirmatory evidence is sought?
It’s fascinating to get an insight into how someone with huge responsibilities, ie considering the consequences of their conclusions, operates.
Thanks for this content Darren and Dr Das. It’s super interesting stuff.

How can you determine if a person is truely paranoid if you only spend 1 to 2 hours with them for assessment ?

How nice she was able to “avoid” her way out of justice. No justice here. Bad judge. she was clearly guilty and used deception to avoid punishment.

Sadly, I am beginning to think this man is the only forensic/criminal psychiatrist in the world since all RUclipsrs I follow choose to have him on their videos. I am not that impressed with him and I frequently feel he is not well-informed about the cases that are being analyzed. So sad to see this channel fall into that as well, I had respect for you. I wish somebody found some other forensic psychiatrist at least to have some point of comparison. Two or three forensic psychologists do come to mind if you would like to approach them instead.

“You are not that impressed with him” based on your qualification as? It amazes me that you don’t invite the experts you want to hear from on your own channel and interview them? Nevermind the fact that nobody forced you to watch _any_ RUclipsr at all. Such a narcissistic play to shame Darren, dismiss Dr Das and then also make a request on a channel that isn’t in any way affiliated with you, all in one go. Case study on the subject matter we all gather to learn more about.

This is exactly how I felt about Darren's decision to do this. I wrote a comment on the channel before I read your comment. I am so glad I am not the only one to see this interview as exploitative, and a betrayal by a channel that I previously had very much respect for.

@@Ad-Lo I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I watch Darrell because I like his content and find him an intelligent and out-of-the-box thinker. I thought it was within my duty to warn, I am sorry you felt so bad.

@@psicologamarcelacollado5863 1. Dr Das is a Psychiatrist, not a psychologist. His qualifications are MBChB, BSc, MSc, MRCPsych, so that may be a reason behind your disappointment. He looks at mental health from a different specialisation.
      2. For a clinician, you would do well to improve your communication. You never advised where your experience lay, and getting touchy for anyone questioning is unprofessional. And immature.
      3. Case in point is your curt response _assuming_ I was referring to you as being unqualified. Actually, it was curiosity, but defensiveness clouded your ability to assume the best. And you sound unqualified now, alongside how rude you were.
      4. I’ve read my comment and never actually a) disagreed with you. I asked a question. b) I never called you a narcissist. Darren’s channel teaches on more than NPD. (His name is not Darrell by the way.)
      5. I feel sorry for your patients. You are really touchy and make a lot of assumptions. Self-reflection is a gift to clinicians.
      All the best.
