    Reason why I bought one:
    1) Tradicional Automatic transmission (not a CVT)
    2) It’s Spunky
    3) Best looking vehicle in its class
    4) Made in Japan

Very happy with mine, 2019 model. Perfect size for me and my wife, easy to park, comfortable and fun to use, and economic. I choose not to buy Bose option, which takes a large amount of space in the trunk. Without the bass box, trunk is sufficient for 4 adults for a holiday week (tested). The good vehicle is the one which meets your needs, not less, not more. And, it’s really really stylish in soul red crystal…

I bought a 2022 CX-3 GS a month ago and I love it. A fantastic change after 12 years of driving a Wrangler! Smooth ride, everything works, the styling is gorgeous inside and out, perfect size for my wife and I. Plus it was made in Japan so you know the standard of assembly is top-notch. Yes, the cargo area is small but so what, you know that before you buy. Awesome little vehicle, I'm a Mazda convert.

Efficient engine with a smooth shifting six speed automatic.

The CX-3 is everywhere you look in Australia. I've had the FWD Maxx Sport (mid-range) model for about 4 months now, I like the way it drives/handles. I really wish that they still made manual transmission available. It does have manual gear shifting mode, but it's definitely not the same experience.
Size wise, I'm gonna be carrying 1 other passenger at most, so just fine for me. But it is clear as to why this is not an ideal family car. And the CX-3 looks alot sexier than a Mazda 2/Toyota Yaris.
After getting to know the vehicle, I do kind of regret not getting the higher trim for the extra features like front park sensors, daytime lights, fog lights and leather seats. I'd highly recommend spending the extra for the bells and whistles.

Hey Jimmy Mak! Another Aussie here, but I'm also Canadian and from Vancouver! Was great to see a bit of the Lower Mainland in the background. Great little car and available here in Oz in all kinds of variants. I think I'm going to get this one. Love the interior and the reliable, fairly efficient engine. Thanks for your great review!

I bought my son a late model Mazda 3 with the 2.5. Its a nice car to drive. I would definitely buy another Mazda including this one. I don't need a larger size but a larger boot would be better. Currently I only buy used cars because I hate wasting money. I find models that wear well and look for a low mileage pick. Currently I'm driving a 2004 Volvo XC70 with the straight 5 turbo engine. I changed the timing belt, the transmission fluid and a couple of other minor things and put Continental Viking snow tires on. I only paid a little over 4 grand but its like this car just keeps running. It starts great in the winter and gets thru snow really well. Until I can justify getting an E car this one is pretty good. I gotta say I really like the Mazdas though.

Buying a new car is not wasting money brother. But buying a used car might be wasting your money, I mean in the future those problems that may come, you may have to keep paying in the garages to fix that.

is it in Canada they discontinue CX-3 but continuing CX-30? that really different in my country. in Indonesia they actually continue with CX-3 but with 1.5L engine (more fuel economic and less tax) and they opted to discontinue with CX-30 as the price range is too close to CX-5.
but I am agree with you. As small family, CX-3 is more than enough. compact and you can experience the great mazda driving experience.

Solid review! I am from Australia but you have sold me on the CX-3. I love the look of your old car - if its not much of a hassle could you drop the wheels specs and the springs/coils you used?
Keep up the good work :)

Good to know. 👍 I was told that the antipollution system could become faulty and be expensive to diagnose and fix. A few people also told me that performance wasn't very impressive.

That's my current ride (2021 GS) and while the trunk is small, for the few times I actually need to use it, is manageable.
As for the backseat, meh. I'm never back there so doesn't make much a difference to me. The few times I've been in the back though, it's fine.
It handles well (like you mentioned) and I've never needed 4WD. AWD and snow tires are more than enough.
Overall I'm happy though, but wish it was better on gas.

the suspension is too stiff and sometimes has knocking or clunking problems and the tire noise is too high for an anno 2022 car. Otherwise great reliable car with very nice design.
