- Due to working from home during the Covid 19, 2020 lockdown I decided to purchase a Delonghi Eletta Cappuccino Top coffee machine, so I could have a latte at the press of a button.
My video shows us opening the box of the coffee machine, testing our water and setting up the machine to make our very first latte, the coffee beans we used and the cleaning process we discovered.
So far, we have found the Delonghi Eletta Cappuccino Top very easy to set up, use and clean. It makes a hot coffee from bean to cup, Cappuccino, latte, espresso, a ground coffee, hot milk or just hot water for a cup of tea. It can make 2 black coffees at once too.The warming tray at the top keeps your cups warm and ready for use.
The only thing we encountered using the machine is we need to be careful when using the touch buttons on the control panel. It is easy to catch the sensitive On /Off button and switch the machine off by mistake. If the machine is switched off it starts the cleaning process.
I have been using it since October 2019 after my Krups fully automatic machine retired. Amazing fully automatic coffee machine. I'm so happy and never had any problems. Enjoy yours too! (Hint: Don't use any dark roast or oily beans, will cause the burr grinder jam in most fully automatic machine)
Thanks for the info!
I use a mix of specially sourced whole milk and cream in my milk frother. Of course you want to put it in the freezer for a while right before use, it's good to use really chilled milk. Now, after having one of these machines, I've been sourcing coffee beans from all over the globe, just because these machines are so simple and fun to use. Gonna start collecting cocoa powders for my mocha drinks and getting a vitamix 750 pro blender to make frappuccinos with espresso shots.
Thank you for your kind comment. Its good to hear your tips.
How to do mocha drinks? Any tips?
@@mohdfahimabdrahman For Mocha, I just use cocoa powder, but if you're not lazy, you can make syrup using cocoa powder, as it will mix a little bit better and more easily compared to powder. I personally just add the cocoa and sugar to my warm frothy milk in my cup and I stir it all in before I let the machine add in an espresso shot.
I just bought this machine. So far so good!
Have fun
Best review ever!

Hello guys i bought it exactly same coffe machine 8 months ago
For couple time I use it but yesterday after months when turn on it try to get cappuccino is going like preparation underway is stop late flat white milk menu still same anyone know what’s the problem thanks
Hope you got your machine sorted
Typical husband not listening lol...how many times did you say latte? I have this machine coming, so excited.
lol, Thank you for your comment. I hope that you have fun with your machine
Hey, Glad to see you guys are having fun with your machine! I love our machine too! BTW, I didn't see a filter when you filled the water tank. Did you add a filter? If the water in your area is so hard I would put a filter on there for sure. It should help your machine last longer and (not sure but) it might make the coffee taste better too. Happy Lattes! -GK
Hi, Thank you for you comment. From the instruction book we understood that if we put a filter in, it would cost £10.00 for 2 months of use, if we didn`t use the machine for a week or two, then the filter would only last 3 weeks. It seems a bit expensive but I will try a filter to see if it tastes better. Thank you for your advice.
@@deirdreharness2701 if your water is as hard as it seems, I'd use the filter. Or, you can get a separate filter to filter your water before you put it into the machine. That might work out cheaper? Seems expensive but if your kettle is getting scale on it currently, imagine what the inside of your expensive coffee machine will get like.
@@LeeBall We are using a filter in the machine and the coffee is good - thank you
It's been an awful machine for me! Been already three times for repair and Delonghi service department have no idea what to do with it. I hope you gonna enjoy yours more than I do.
Sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with your coffee machine. If Delonghi are struggling to repair it, can you get a refund or replacement? Good luck
What is the problem with your machine
@@mohdfahimabdrahman Can't make normal coffee! No cream on the top, the taste is like a hot water. If you make a milk base drink you cant feel the coffee at all! And I did try all the settings from 1 to 10 and from 10 to 1 with many different coffee brands. Delonghi had been absolutely useless. Not only that they can't fix it but every time I got the machine back from them something is broken. Like the second time the top panel could be lifted up about 1cm. they fixed that but now the on/off button which use to be flat with the front panel is about 3mm below the level of the panel. All that only shows that there is no quality control at all. I'll make a video about that as I want this to be seen from as many people as possible and if i can help one person not to buy delonghi product I'll be happy.
It looks like you've got the Cappuccino and not the Cappuccino Top Ivaylo? I hope you are able to get it sorted soon though.
@@LeeBall it is cappuccino top!
The coffee is very thin
