I have been using classic shell for many years without issue. Just installed open shell on my girlfriend's new laptop, and along with fixing/reverting the context menu via regedit, it is well worthwhile. Hopefully open shell gets updated again. Start11 does look very interesting.
I would be happy with one that you can drag your computer icon onto it to create a menu system of every drive, file and directory on your system just like you could from windows 9x through to windows 10 with the exception of windows 8 - no need for search as its quicker
