❤Such a lovely story about your parents loving to see this beautiful place! You two are magical taking us along with you to such mesmerizing places in France!🎉❤ A dream.
Love your videos. I am in Nice on vacation and they definitely are the most informative of all. I was unsure of what to do today until I watched this video last night, then I decided to spend the day at Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. So that’s where I am right now, having lunch at The Cadillac, after taking the hike #1 and going to the Rotschild Palace. Wonderful day! Thank you both, Anja & Aila! ❤
hi! Your videos are so helpful and have great tips! I would like to know what's the best way (taxi/bus/train) from Nice to Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild? The most convenient route and timing among the three ways? Also I plan to go to Villfranche Sur Mer after the Villa. Which would be the best way to get there using taxi/train from the Villa?
Hi Anna! From Nice it’s easiest to take the train to Beaulieu-sur-Mer and from there, bus no. 15 takes you pretty much directly to Villa Rothschild. There’s also a bus from Nice. And there should be a bus afterwards going towards Villefranche. It’s not THAT far away, really, you might even be able to walk… But check out the app Moovit - set to Côte d’Azur - it’s great for getting around in public transport. Enjoy your trip!!! 😄
@@rivierago thanks again! Do you know the website for the train schedule and bus schedule from NIce to Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild? And from the Villa to Vilfranche Sur Mer? I just want to coordinate the timing from place to place so I can plan ahead. Thanks again!!
Please check in the description of the film. For local trains you have to check the website SNCF TER, for busses it‘s easiest to use the app Moovit (set to Côte d’Azur) to find your connections, since there are different bus companies.
@@rivierago oh yes lots in fact since we are visiting Nice in May end:) 1. Is a trip to Verdon gorge and lavender fields worth it? Will we see lavenders blooming in may end? 2. How to manage Monaco visit during F1 GP that weekend. We wanted to visit the Palace and the casino mainly but will the buses be plying with road restrictions? Even if we walk would they allow us to visit the casino. Thanks
Hi, sorry for our late reply, somehow we missed your comment ! Next week we’ll go to The Gorges du Verdon and the lavender fields that are just starting to bloom! 🤩 And for the GP it’s too late now, we hope everything worked out for you! You’re definitely able to get to Monaco by train during that time of year, but the buses will have to take different routes during the race days (Thursday-Sunday). But life goes on, so tourists should be able to see things - just not where the race goes on. If you don’t want to see the GP we highly recommend to pick another time to go to Monaco 😇
@@rivierago hey no problem. Yes we had an amazing time in the French Riviera. Your channel helped a lot so a big thank you. We skipped Monaco due to the hordes of people and erratic train schedule instead went to Menton which was beautiful
Thanks for your sweet comment! We‘re hesitant between taking enough time to show more beautiful pictures and explain more - and not taking too much time to keep people sticking around through most of our videos… still experimenting 😇. So thanks for the input! 😊
Hi, yes we are! But hardly anybody wanted to see the film about Picasso, Chagall, Léger that we published last week… disappointing 🤪, so we might not do another one too soon. Would you be interested in something specific?
@@rivierago I've recently discovered your channel so haven't seen the film you mention yet. It's often said that artists are attracted to the south of France, whilst historically true, it may be interesting to see some current artists out drawing or painting, maybe a visit to their studios.. unless they are too elusive! Personally, I find it interesting how people live, and generally what life is like in what looks like a great part of the world.
Hi! Yes, it’s really easy by car, maybe a 20 minute ride. Please check the other comments and replies as well as the description below the film for info on public transport. Enjoy your visit! 😄

Did we say that? 😅 if we‘re talking of one of the major luxury hotels (can’t remember from the top of my head) it‘s just the price you pay, and we‘ve paid more in other places, so I guess yeah, 9€ is reasonable 😝

The Cadillac should absolutely be avoided. The food is awful....
