I cannot say enough about how much this video brought me back to my recent trip to the French Riviera! We loved the Gorge, lavender fields, Monaco, Marseille & Nice! Take us back!!!
This RUclips channel has been recommended to me by my cool and awesome and amazing and great and very intelligent and alright looking and very proficient in Immunology, friend Lennart. Your videos have truly changed my entire perspective on France. Lennart says hi from the Netherlands.
I saw the canyon, it is very impressive. I had booked a tour in a small group from Nice, we also went to the ceramics village of Moustier-Sainte-Marie and to the waterfall, I think Gorges du Loup, it was called. I also took the same ferry as you to Saint Tropez and had two beautiful Muses there, as well as the Cafe des Lices for lunch, which was very romantic there. I enjoyed Nice so much that I'm going back next year to visit Monaco and some of the other places you featured. I also saw that the iconic hotels in Cannes are not that expensive in the low season. I particularly like the Croisette from your video (the street behind it was too busy last August), Menton and Antibes (I hope I spelled everything correctly) Marseille is also a fantastic city, I went there by train from Germany, there is a train there every day from Frankfurt am Main. I felt very safe there.
Sounds great! Sounds like you’ve seen many of the nicest places already 😊. From October to April it is way less crowded, we love this time of year (just this September/October and also actually May/June had much more rain than is normal). And you’re right; hotels charge half of their summer prices in the low season. Getting to the French Riviera by train from Paris and Germany, as you say, is pretty easy and comfortable, agreed! Maybe plan for a stop in Aix-en-Provence next time! We just went last week - and it’s a stunning city, vibrant, full of cafes in cute squares, full of people (not crowded this time of year, but pleasantly full 😉)
Outstanding 'Highlights' from many of your previous videos! I will be visiting Nice in December 2024 and will be visiting Antibes - Monaco - Eze - Mentone while in France and will spend Christmas in San Remo taking in Ventimiglia and nearby villages. Thank you for your wonderful work! 💝
Hey, thank you! And thanks for asking about Villeneuve-Loubet. While there are things to talk about and describe it’s not a city we‘ve ever taken our friends to see… there are just so many locations that are more interesting that we‘re not sure who would actually watch a video about it. Doesn’t mean that it’s not a great place to stay - and discover the surrounding cities from there! So, maybe one day we feature Villeneuve-Loubet, but not for now… so sorry!!!
Yes, Eze of course… we had to make a choice, and you’re right: Eze is worth being on that list as well. Guess we were a little fed up with the place 😅 (it’s really pretty, but also „too“ pretty and touristy in a Disney World kind of way - that we decided not to put it on our favorite list. But go! It’s beautiful)
Just came back from our trip from Genova to Nice. We were disappointed at the lack of parking on Cote d' Azur. We own a small campervan 2.6m high. All parking lots/garages are limited to 1.9-2.1m height. Street parking is impossible to find and has a max limit of 3 hours. The trip was a disaster even though was very well planned.
So sorry to hear!!! There are Park & Ride spots in Nice, they might have worked? Friends of ours who have this huge camping van drop it at a campground and go exploring by bus or train from there. Generally: the smaller the car the better, entering a parking garage even with an SUV on the French Riviera is a hassle!

Thank you for this useful introduction to these beautiful places. My dermatologist would be concerned lest everybody is coated in sunscreen. Do you have any favorite brands? Bonne journey!
Thanks! Indeed, we go full protection all the time. This is my preferred brand: www.eau-thermale-avene.fr/p/spray-spf-50-3282770100617-14c39aab (we don’t get paid for sharing this link 😅)
@@rivierago. Thank you very much for your response! I am gratified that you preparea for the sun. My dermatologist here in California recommends La Roche-Posay but I will bring him Avene's Thermale for my next appointment.
This is a great channel

Dear ladies, your videos are really informative. Do you plan to make a video about Villeneuve Loubet?

Great video! What about Èze though? It could be a great honourable mention :)
