  • This is what you get a year later when you hire people to do a job for you. I think with a bit of elbow grease anything is possible!

An industrial 12v manifold (like off a Ford Louiseville or baby Frieghtliner trucks) hangs the turbo at the back of the block down low and tight to the block. I've also had decent luck flipping a center mount manifold and mounting the turbo up high to clear the stock heater box. Cool project, hope you get it going!

nice vid. i think there's an aftermarket manifold that fixes that clearance issue with the heater box

Hey brother. What area of WA are you in? I build cummins and have done 2 swaps myself. If you're anywhere near Maple Valley, i'm happy to lend a hand here and there! let me know

Also, the manifold you want is from a 3rd gen cummins. You could also use an HE351CW turbo on that same manifold if you wanted. Just requires manifold studs and DIY porting to go from a round inlet to square to mate up with the head. It's easier than it sounds.

In life ive come to find out no one will care about your stuff like you will usually. The guys that will take the time to do it right have very nice shops that Im not willing to pay what they ask. Not that they dont deserve it .
