I love my TF2 rigs, I didn’t get them for their capabilities, you have to understand what you’re getting into. I wanted one of these until I found out how bad they are. It’s too bad they didn’t put some effort into them, it could have been a really cool rig.
I can't believe it did what it did! Baby furitek system would do wonders that and a decent servo.. all tho I'm not sure your going to get much more angle lmao
🤣 Yeah, you can see why I said it's so confusing! Yeah definitely want to put better electronics in it, not sure Spectrum ones would be an upgrade though! 😬🤣
I totally agree with you but at the USA price of $170.00 and then you have to swap out all the electronics plus the radio you’re looking at almost a $450.00 tiny RC? just to make it somewhat capable? At that price point you can purchase other RTR vehicles that come RTR that are way more capable for less? So the question is why would anyone purchase this? Love your video for the honesty.🤷🏻♂️👍💯🙂
Thanks very much 👍 Yeah it's definitely over priced. You could upgrade it for way less than that though. Just buy the FMS radio gear/esc from an FCX18/FCX24 for $30, then motor for $9 and a 15kg micro servo for under $15. That's an extra $54 and you're done. I completely agree though, you could just buy an FCX24 Pro for $160 and have a much much better rig to start with. 👍
@ I know you’re absolutely right, I was just exaggerating just to make the point but yes of course it won’t be that much but I was just making an example. 🤷🏻♂️👍💯🙂
Solid grab for 95 pounds. And I completely agree that these things are so confusing. They aren't quite detailed enough to be a true scale trail truck, it's nowhere near close enough performance-wise to be an actual crawler, the normal price point is astronomical, the electronics are straight trash, there is no aftermarket, and their transmitter is tied with Carisma for the worst design since 1991. Having said all of that, I still like that I have one in my lineup...
@andrewsexton5625 You even kept the stock servo? What transmission did you use? I neeed to change the ESC too, even if it's just to change the transmitter! 🤣😬
@rcocm Yeah it's very over priced imo. I do like the body, but the paint is a little plasticy! With better electronics I'd say $90 to $120 would be reasonable. I wouldn't pay full price. 😬
@rcocm 🤣🤣🤣 I think even back in the 80's it would be questionable tbh! I'm not fussed on their RTR tenth scale transmitters, but this thing was on another level! 😬🤣
So yet another useless RC4WD truck. No surprise it's a pos, they all are. The upgrades it needs are repairs since it can't meet the expectations or requirements for a capable trail truck. You could spend a fortune to enable it to hopefully keep up with a stock SCx24, TRX4M or FMX124 but why would you? You could just buy any of the others, used even and be better off. RC4WD hobby industry speak for a festering pile of shit.
So you like it then yeah? 😬🤣 I think it's a little excessive to say they're all a pos. I've got two big TF2's and they're not that bad. I actually really like my 1982 Toyota TF2. 👍
Would make a good upgrade series! Get those electronics sorted out and show us what it can do! 💙
Sounds like a plan to me. 👍😎
Yes, would be a great mod series! Esc, servo, shocks, brushless motor!
Excellent, I best get shopping! 🤣👍
Awesome looking rig ❤ definitely think an upgrade video would be cool.
You had me at ‘stuck on a leaf’ 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 It was a big ol leaf though wasn't it! 😬🤣👍
Yeah will hopefully upgrade it soon, it's crying out for better electronics. 👍
@ haha yes. Definitely will be an interesting video on what you put in it and what it will perform like after.
@Anglian-Rc Yeah, hopefully be much better, as it seemed really well balanced and potentially capable. 👍
Upgrade! Then run it side by side with the FCX24m 😎
Yeah that would be cool. Upgraded I think it'll be a beast. 👍😎💪
yes definitely do a upgrade video
Will do. 👍😎

Yeah I really like my big TF2's. It's a shame this one isn't so great and expensive, I still kinda like it though! 😬🤣🤦
The truck looks very scale, but damn! That controler. Kiss of death.
🤣🤣🤣 It's literally like something from the 80's isn't it! Weighs twice as much as the rig too! 🤣🤦
Hi Rob. They're having a laugh with that transmitter. I didn't see you buy that at the Nationals. I would have nagged you get it out lol.
I also haven't thanked you for filming us at the Nationals and then posting it. Great camera work, made us look half decent drivers 😁
🤣 I know, crazy isn't it. Like who thought that was a good idea! 🤦
🤣 I bought it just after the raffle as he was packing up, couldn't help myself! 🤣👍
Ah no worries mate, was grateful everyone was happy letting me film. Don't want to be that annoying guy with the camera in the way! 😬🤣
LOL that remote :DDD made my evening
🤣🤣🤣 You're welcome! 🤣👍
Awful isn't it, I literally felt like I'd gone back in time! 😬🤣
Put an FMS esc/receiver combo , a remote/radio and a servo and it will be amazing. The servo might improve if it gets more power.
Good idea. 👍😎
I'm not the servo is up to much tbh, at only 5g it's super weak, plus with the grip on the tyres it's working it even harder. 👍
Lol that remote 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 Awesome isn't it! 😬🤣🤦
I’m always rooting for you 👍 my friend🫡😁
Thanks very much mate, appreciate it. 👍
@@DoURC 👍😁

🤣 Yeah it definitely needs upgrades. I do think it's got great potential, as even with all the electronics struggles, it was eating up the rocks! 👍😎
It’s as good as it is bad and massively over priced. Love to see it with a better servo, Axial ( spectrum ) electronics and an Injora brushless ESC
🤣 Yeah, you can see why I said it's so confusing!

@peteroman4297 🤣 No worries.
Do they not product test before market release? If they do that's scary! 😂 Thanks for sharing.
🤣🤣🤣 It does amaze me sometimes. 😬🤣
Speaking of better electronics....may whack the motor, esc and gearbox into my TRX4m...i've become completely spoiled by FMS...great vid!
Thanks very much 👍
Yeah stock electronics on the TRX4M aren't great either. If you can go brushless it's sooo much nicer. 👍

🤣 Excellent, sometimes you have to have a lemon in your lineup. 👍
I'm glad I got or and hopefully with some upgrades it'll be great. 👍😎
I think it's cool. It is just not the same scale as what everyone else is calling a 24.
Yeah I think it's more true 24th scale. Most RC's aren't true to scale these days. I like it...except for that transmitter! 🤣🤦
At $170 I just can't justify that. Looks really good though.
Yeah it's very expensive for what it is, especially when you consider the competition these days. 👍
Nice 👍👍👍👋
Thanks very much mate. 👍😎
Hi mate, got a new sub from me.. I like the style of reviews.. I’m currently attempting some rc videos to… love the scale garage look..🤙🇦🇺
Ah excellent, thanks very much, appreciate it. 👍😁
Excellent, good luck and enjoy it. 👍😎
I wish rc4wd would just make a body for the trx4m
That would be better imo.
It would be great if they'd make some more competitive crawlers. I've got the C2X as well and it's awesome. 👍
Needs mb100 esc and and 0.50 motor swap. Thats what im currently doing.
Yeah definitely needs better electronics and 100% needs a better servo! 😬👍
Yeah upgrade video thanks
Thanks very much, will do. 👍😎
I changed my transmission an it's mint now. Everything stock other than that
@andrewsexton5625 You even kept the stock servo? What transmission did you use?
I neeed to change the ESC too, even if it's just to change the transmitter! 🤣😬
I had to source it from China I think, took like 3 weeks...but it has been worth it. It's a 1942 Plymouth coupe now 👍
@@andrewsexton5625 Sounds interesting 👍😎
OK xe đẹp quá 👍♥️
It's a cool looking RC isn't it. I like it. 👍😎
Best thing: wheels and tyres.
Worst thing: price for everything else you get. I'm surprised but then I have zero experience with RC4WD 🤷

@rcocm Yeah definitely, I couldn't leave it there at that price. Definitely glad I got it, now I just need to upgrade it. 👍
@DoURC I look forward to seeing it 👍
😅 sorry, but that transmitter is the first thing I had to comment on 😂😂
@rcocm 🤣🤣🤣 It's awesome isn't it! 😬🤣🤣🤣🤦
@DoURC awesome is one word for it... like you say... back in the 80's maybe 😅
@rcocm 🤣🤣🤣 I think even back in the 80's it would be questionable tbh! I'm not fussed on their RTR tenth scale transmitters, but this thing was on another level! 😬🤣
I was really disappointed when I brought mine home and tried it. I put a more powerful motor in mine. Night and day difference.
That's excellent to know, thanks for sharing. 👍
It's definitely got potential. 👍😎
It’s way too expensive for the car!! Make it like, $60 and I’d buy one.
Yeah totally agree, if it hadn't of been reduced I wouldn't have got it. 👍
