RC girl it's so good to see girls and especially young kids off a device for a short time it gives them confidence one day we all need to build/decorate a house and talk to professional builders. Here in the UK crawlers off terrain not as popular as racing indoor and vintage dirt tracks. My daughter organises my screws before a build and I trust her to drill holes in my wall she's 14 and loves it more than TikTok. I love Schumacher racing I'm UK I saw an LD3 in one of your tours. Yokomo sell a basic touring car kit now which is soo cheap for the quality of components you get. I have a shelf of Team associated US touring cars from late 90s like the TC3 my first trophy, there was no internet then so my model shop was it. Team associated included for me imperial US hex and nut drivers because we were metric, I can talk lots but it's nice to see a young woman all of us in RC everywhere would want you to join in I speak for everybody.
I always tell people that scale rigs are like our daily drivers on the trail. You’re gonna drive it so you can drive it home, and not on a flatbed. Totally different approach to a scale trail. Love it!
I grew up next to a guy that had one of those back in the 80's. Soooooo wild to see that brought back. Living in the salt belt, I have never seen another in person. Love those trucks!!
One of the sort of unspoken reasons I prefer scale over performance in RC trucks is that it's much easier to find a fun spot to take a scaler out than a serious crawler. Far more decent hiking paths than rock outcroppings in most places! One day I hope to afford one of these!
Plus it’s more realistic. I used to drive Moab all the time with my jeep that was built for it. Half the stuff people try to crawl with their RCs wouldn’t even be doable in the real world regardless of the rig.
Exactly.I said the same thing.People get upset because they think the scaler they bought can’t perform. These rc crawlers can do way more a real one can.
Just took mine out down by the river. Will be flipping the leafs to the top of the axles to start and maybe removing a leaf spring to get a bit more flex. It's such a cool truck, I can't stop oogling it.
Im jealous, and i have a REAL 1983 Toyota 4x4 SR5 pickup.😂 if i had this, I'd be dying to make a little header and weber carb to match mine and paint it tan. No tube bumpers for me either
This is a really great looking little Toyota truck! Its so cool. So much detail Hayley and as always you put some great content on your channel. Love the little sound effects to like the suspension squishy noise and the aerial too.👌👍
Great overview. I never noticed the transfer sheet on the tailgate and the decal on the doors wasn't cut. The rear bumper doesn't sit flush because the mount sits too high under the bed. Maybe someone will make new frame mounts for it that sit lower. Don't forget to glue on the bed cleats.
For me i think they make a beautiful truck, however the one thing that drives me nuts about them is the stiffness of that suspension system. I had a few of them before i got into making construction equipment, and i always wished for more flex. I am sure if i spent enough time and money you could always make one to fit a scx10 or something, but 529 us is 714$ canadian. for that kind of money it is nice to have all the wheels be able to grab the ground, but they sell so what do i know lol.
Love your videos and your builds, looks like you have as much fun shooting the videos as you do doing the builds. Do you do meets or events in the bay area?
Nice truck... Nice video... I have the tf2me... I'm try for this one next in my collection... rc4wd tf2's are great... l8r to all and to all: Have Great Day... !!!
I think some of their hard bodies come in two pieces that are glued together (cab + bed are separate). So that helps to stabilize the rear. On this one it's probably not needed!
The easiest way to tell is look for leaks. If there's no leaks, it's 100% an RC. Even if it was a full size truck and somehow didn't have leaks, it must be a full size RC 😂
Ironically talking about leaks … just bought a Losi 8ight e buggy with two big old diff leaks in the box. Now I get to learn how to dismantle and reassemble an 1/8th scale buggy that has yet to be ran lol
People get serious about their RC cars. Along the way they seem to forget what scale means sometimes. The UDR suffers from that quite a bit😂. People just want to take it out, bash it like a basher and then they get pissed when it breaks. Ignoring that is one of the most scale trucks in that size that you can get. I love my UDR. If you want to bash extreme bash something that’s why they have the Maxx Slash now .Which I also like. Just got a bunch of anodized parts for mine gonna take it out later. See how it holds up.
Super nice looking truck but suspension still looks way too stiff with little articulation.Rc4wd really needs to look into their suspension designs to get a more supple ride to compliment the looks of their crawlers.
Rather disappointingly and still to this day and with all RC4WD's experience, they have still not found a solution to having ugly Phillips screws visible all over the place including on the tail lights. I love their stuff and for scale they really have it dialled but for those screws. It reeks of saving money which isn't reflected in the price. I think an update is way overdue at this point. I can't be the only one who thinks those screws hurt the scale look in vids or forced perspective photography. Still a cool truck tho. Great vid as usual!

I had this exact real truck, down to the paint job and stickers. I put 250,000 miles on it and it was a beast for the time. Very cool RC!

Such an incredible detailed model. I really love the built up engine bay. Very outstanding indeed. I plan to get this for my next RC truck.

Thanks @RCGirl I literally just asked when you were going to post another vid. And boom you delivered. Thank you.
@@EnoughTractionRc yeah I'm late on this one! 🫣
@@RCGirl it’s okay glad you posted it. I want this Toyota soooooo bad for my personal use lol
Thanks Hayley, very cool truck!
They certainly do look amazing! So much detail!! Love it ❤❤ keep up the good work!
Awesome video! Love what you do for the RC World! Keep doing your thing!!
Awesome little truck!
That is one great looking truck. Great job with a video🔥👍🏼💯!
Too mean! This hobbies addictive
Beautiful truck ms
Great review again. Love to see it.
Love it and I’m a huge 1:1 scale Toyota junkie wish I could afford that price tag but you must keep grinding keep up the amazing reviews
That thing looks rad!

Not a huge TF2 fan but that engine bay is killer😮
I like the grub screw mounting better, but that's just me. I also made a bed tool box to hold my 3s 1500mah helios battery

I was wondering what those were!!
So frickin cool!🔥🤘
Yeah it's a sweet looking truck!!
@@RCGirl Seems like a missed opportunity to go all in on the body detail and make the doors and the tailgate openable too.
Im surprised you haven't ever built a Tamiya Toyota Bruiser or one in that line, they are a very scale rc truck. And been around for a long time.
Awesome truck RcGirl enjoying watching too ✨️👍😃😎♥️ awesome RcGirl ❤
Fantastic video. I will buy it soon, that truck is beautiful.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The suspension articulation is absolutely horrible. Love the interior insert and the engine detail is awesome! Outstanding comprehensive review

I want that so bad!! I have a 1985 pickup as my actual car and i need a mini one 😭

Dat pat benatar hair cut is cool!
Aw thanks!
I've got a gen 1 redcat do you know if I can get portal axles for it?
The body looks great for the most part, it’s a shame about everything else. I really wanted to like this enough to buy it.
RC4WD rear inner fenders from the 4runner will fit under that bed.
@@496kartoon ah yes, thanks I'll check those out
Amazing Rc4wd
🛻💨💯📷
Would've been *truly* amazing if the doors and the tailgate opened too, not just the hood.
👍👍😃
Only question i have is why have the body shell fastened by screws ? Must be somewhat annoying when wanting to remove battery for charging or storage.
Teda, ta je krásná (Toyota)... teda Vy také, aby Vám to nebylo líto...😂😂😂
Why do they have body clips if you screw the body to the frame
I think some of their hard bodies come in two pieces that are glued together (cab + bed are separate). So that helps to stabilize the rear. On this one it's probably not needed!
Don't think it needs body posts in the bed when got screws holding the body on
Good point!
