“Is this called writing?. It feels like I’m typing.”
I just looked it up...Julio Torres is 32! He looks 18 omg
Thank you I was about to do that
Swear I was like he's not 22?
White people have privilege. Ethnic people, we have melanin, and that shit don’t crack.
I think his style makes him seem younger than he is. Facially he looks like he’s in his late 20s or 30s.
*thank god* that makes me feel better about myself, I thought he was my age (23)
If these two were on a podcast together all the other podcasts would be fuckedddd
The most iconic comedic duo we never thought would exist
listening to julio it becomes very clear that "wells for boys" is NOT a joke. its obviously something that julio actually wished he had as a child.
Oh, of course he wrote that skit. Yes that was a real, wished-for toy.
❤
I love that they differentiated Brazilian vs Mexican telenovelas. People need to know these things!
Om
I’m so grateful I finally get to hear Julio’s laugh. I didn’t understand how empty I was until now.
Update: The life of an Aquarius is expensive, baby.
@@bianca_navarrete as an aquarius moon we are the opposite of that. We are down to earth/humble *isolated* but humble
@@moarroz nobody said he was an Aquarius moon like you though lol. He is an Aquarius sun, and his moon is in Leo.
@@victoriap1649 i was responding to Bianca above. Didn't mention anything about them. Was only talking bout myself lol...interesting tho didn't know those were his signs
His giddiness when he’s talking about his father’s dictionary is adorable lol
Julio’s dad is chaotic good
This and the 92Y with Bill Hader and John Malaney have me feeling that SNL older writers are really great at mentoring younger staff. Fred’s support and friendship for Julio and Bill’s support and friendship of John Malaney are so beautiful.
My favorite part is when he said if I get straight A s I’ll get a good job. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just caught up with Espookys only to find this guy is behind all of my favorite melodramatic snl skits was such a nice surprise
I now ADORE Julio Torres. Where have I BEEN?!
Discovering Julio T on 7-21-2020. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It's very true about the New York NBC signal thing, I lived in Southern Mexico for a while on a boat, and in harbor we'd hook up to the cable at the marina and the only channel that seemed to be on all the time was NY1.
Wow my two favorite people 😩😩👏🏼👏🏼💕
These two need a weekly show that's just them chatting and taking questions from the audience 😊😊👍🏻
As a Brazilian, I shouldn't be so proud of Brazilian telenovelas after watching this interview... but strangely I still am! XD
You absolutely should be proud! - I'm in the UK and I really wanna watch them based on the descriptions here. Do you know the names of any of the ones they mentioned?
@@helenl3193 "Pedra sobre pedra" is the one about the moon and "o grito" is about the former nun and her son's ashes. I have no idea if and where you can find them with subtitles in english, but the most iconic scenes can be found on youtube i guess
Aubrey Plaza would be an amazing fit for Los Espookys
No
She doesn't speak Spanish
Yeah she’s got the humor
dirttowater There are characters on the show who only speak English.
Omg yeesss the dead pan
I loved this. Its almost 5am, Im going to be so tired at work and then school, but I'm so excited to watch both specials and Fred crushed this as an interviewer. I respect and adore you Fred.
Oh, I feel for you and hope you made it through the day all right. Fred and Julio are definitely funny, and I'm looking forward to _My Favorite Things._ I've seen _Los Espookys,_ and it was hilarious.
ME TOO.
Two of my favorites! I just love where their brains go...so sharp and playful!
LOL I almost took their college talk seriously
@14:53 fred saying "wooow" is soo pure
I didn't know who Julio was before watching this but I really enjoyed the conversation. And Fred is so funny 😂
You need to watch Los Espookys if you have HBO.
@@davidadams2395 Is the show in Spanish?
@Lauren Dallas Thank you! I’ll try to watch it this evening.
Sarah ... Watch this!! ruclips.net/video/yZd1hze8kUQ/видео.html
Sarah The show has subtitles in English.
Love them both! 💚 It's awesome to see Armisen's influence on Torres' development.
2 peas in a pod🥜🥜
The father son vibes I get from the interview r so strong
i’m crying you can hear fred armisen laughing during the clips HSSKSKHKDHHD
Wait so this isnt freds son? Idk if I buy that
I guess I buy it
I was with Julio on the capitalism critique but Fred wasn’t down
It sounds like Fred is talking to himself, if this were a podcast, it would be insane :D
Kleopatra they are literally the same person!
I just watch the whole interview everyday since I found it. I just love it.
So happy you decided to upload this. Love the duo!
I feel like if Fred Armisen and Seth Meyer had a child it would be Julio. So good.
I was thinking the same thing
these two are a comedy match made in heaven
The United Nations sketch needs to happen asap
The first time I saw Julio Torres I thought about Fred Armisan. So to see them talking in this makes so much sense!
I've never been so intrigued to sit and finish an 1 hour worth of interview but my, oh my was I in for a treat! I loved every second of it :D
I wish this never ended. I could watch these two for hours
im so mad.. I went to college in kalamazoo its like they were talking to me
Los espookys is everything
I agree! I love it so much!
Two of my absolute favorites!!!
omg fred armisen is so good
I’m such a big supporter of Julio and wish you all the best!
I luff these 2.
Yes plz. Fred & Julio podcast.
Make it so.
I need it to be part of MY daily routine.💓
That pupusa bit really touched me. I send you my love, Julio!
Hooray for Free, great interview, and Julio is the best.
I love julio!!
“Is this called writing? It feels like I’m typing!”
This sentence is deeeep.
I was also born of Feb 11. I adore that we share this date
This duo is fantastic.
as a fellow brazilian, i think the novela julio is talking about 34:14 is called “pedra sobre pedra”, from 1992
i love their their advertisment for college im dead
Thanks gentlemen, so interesting ❤️💚🧡😊
I like the way they actually seem interested in what the audience has to say.
I love Julio Torres.
He reminds me of all the little punk /art boys in Seattle in the early ‘80’s.
Lol I love these two.
Ugh, I loved this.
I love this!
Ok, first of all I love this interview. Two of my favorite people on planet Earth. Why no clips?
Fred is amazing!
Every living thing on this planet is food for every other living thing. My dad said that to me once, haven't been able to shake it LOL
this is my favorite video on the whole internet
how did I miss this 4 years ago!!
Haha I love both of them
i live in northern virginia and there are a lot of salvadorans around. i never knew but i just looked it up and the largest population of salvadorans in the us is northern va
I need to see a show where birds confront other birds
Great conversation between two truly talented, unique and bright guys. Very entertaining.
Ok but why does Julio legit have my ideal daily routine
omg i l000000000oooOOOOOOvvveeeeee theze 2.
Very creative!!
so no really where is that water bottle from?
I love it when comedians especially ones who writers start getting carried away and create their own little skits, its so childlike
LOVE that they wrote a sketch in the middle - OH MAY ALL THE GODZ bless Julio Torres...just SUCH a breath of subtlety and intelligence in comedy, just like Fred...WONDERFUL xo I super-love him.
Super-love♡♡♡♡
Super-love :)
Mr. Torres I adore your shoes
Julio ❤
Love this Julio Torres guy- checked out his SNL stuff and feel like I have no Ed most of his stuff and I know there must be more... can anybody point me in the direction of anything else of his?
moiratell los espookys!, just started watching video so not sure if they talked about it
Such a treat!
Both are such fantastic comedians!!! The sequel to “Fire Island” movie needs to include Joel Kim Booster, Julio Torres, Larry Dean, & Nigel Ng.
The only pun I’ve seen successfully translated was in the subtitles of Pulp Fiction when Mia told her joke about the family of tomatoes. It’s a really dumb joke (intentionally), but the translator really nailed it.
I remember the allure of shooting heroin in Pulp Fiction and then he goes out with his bosses’ girlfriend. Who could tear their eyes away? Nobody.
It’s funny cus that bit about money wanting to be free is true #circulatethecurrency
I hope the photo backstage is when they hold their mics like that. 1:03:08
let me tell you if this was an entire podcast series, I would be very fine with that
Flash forward to Chile now and an explanation as to why it was the way it was
I am in love with Julio's dad. (No offense to his mom, or anything!) But what an interesting, admirable, intelligent, quirky man! That makes me so happy to know where Julio gets it.
What where is his father?
WHERE is Julio's water bottle from ??
Julio, oh Julio, wherefore art though Julio? 🧡💛🧡💜
“Wherefore” means “why.” Perhaps “where art thou, Julio?”
Comedy gold.
“It has to be in my bank account. Why?”😂
I just love that thing that is so popular for some reason now, where they show a clip to everyone at the show, but you see nothing, and then they cut back in and everyone's clapping and it's the best thing anyone's ever seen and you are left totally in the dark. We need more of this please?!
El Salvador: where a yellow light means.. speed up.. you can make it. Its red.. cars keep rushing to make it. :) -personal experience.
i can't believe how julios' voice is exactly the same as jacksfilms
i see 2 fred armisens... or i see 2 julio torres'...
I feel like I know a guy like Julio...
Does anyone know the name of the novela Julio describes during 36:00-38:00??
FR!!! I need to know. I have been googling to no end
I'm so curious to watch it, it sounds amazing! 😁
Please someone tell me what novela julio is talking about
It's called pedra sobre pedra. Freds talking about 1975's "o grito"
Julio is dressed as Shaggy.
Patrick Leitgeb Zoiks!
The UN but for shade😂😂😂
We like the sky... lol
"i was like so young and so successful" turns out he is 32! what? He looks 21
That is pretty young
