Interesting and unique. Funny, dry, droll, absurd sense of humor. Familiar and surreal all at once. Handsome dude; the camera loves him. It feels like he's uncovered something new in comedy. He might have quite the career ahead of him.
What a pretentious comment and you have a lame sense of humor this is the kind of stand up middle school students who think they have a sense of humor enjoy
He's an original. Do you know how rare that is in this field? Now almost everyone who picks up a microphone, thinks they are original. They are wrong. He is.
Yes, knowing the kind of distinctive humor Julio does, when he said the shirt was part of how he convinces people he's a star, I was utterly prepared for him to talk about how he used to be an asteroid.
If you are a comedian, and you are onstage, and there are laughs, you are the definition of a winner. That is winning in comedy; there is nothing else.
Oh dear goodness, that was bloody hilarious. I’ve literally just been caught so beautifully unawares as to this particular brand of surrealism because he truly and honestly did manage to make me laugh right out loud (so much so that my neighbours now love him too). It’s like he breathed a fresh brand of new life into that stale and cliched old trope of the irrepressible style of dry British deadpan humour, yet in my opinion, this young man revived it into something way much funnier. What a delightful treat, I’m so gleefully happy right now……and deservedly so in my opinion because I’ve had an atrocious night and this just goes to show that laughter truly is the best medicine at times. X
@@tinaw.6178 I’ll certainly try. I do live in the UK though so you’d need a satellite and Sky Atlantic in order to access any HBO content, that or purchase it’s streaming service.
I mean this as the absolute biggest compliment EVER. He’s so WEIRD! I’m weird so I love him so much. Los Espookys & the SNL skits he wrote are hilarious.
This guy is one of my favorite new comedians without a doubt. Been following him for a year or so now. Wrote for SNL, has a show with Fred Armisen, and has a small but loyal and growing fan group for his standup . He’s gonna be big one day, I believe it. I’m pretty sure I’ve watched everything he’s done twice. Him and Moses Storm are gonna be too dogs one day.
Last thing in the world I would expect him to be is a comic. He would be a great add to SNL. He could play in so many sketches. Love to see him with Pete Davidson.
lol knowing that they are there and selling.....those weird magazines in my case more the chairs and closets that are never used or bright white sweaters at thangsgivingdiner that never get dirty or smelly..bright bright white.
'Dick saxophone' is a very David Sedaris story and proves that if you want to be a humorist, you must answer as many classified ads as possible, preferably in a large insane American city. But be careful.
Gold. Well-worth the build-up. Craig's list...you knew it would be unexpected, but expected. Can't get enough of how funny communicating in another language can be. Not as an insult to those brave and industrious enough to jump in to a new language and culture with both feet - nothing but respect. I pray that there is footage (haw haw haw) of this sax magician's routine somewhere online. If that's his only trick, however...damn.
When i did interviews and they asked me why i came to them i answered 'money. Makes the world move around and my #1 priority. The more you pay me the bigger chunk of my life you get'. They do like that answer
I felt this hard. When I was 18, I interviewed for Peet's Coffee and when asked why I wanted to work there I responded, 'I like coffee.' I was not called back...
@@jscorpio1987 Ha Ha...okay, the I'll buy him a car, fully furnished house with a swimming pool, and furnish him with an American Express credit card...with no limit!!!
Being a good comedian is like Quentin Crisp's definition of happiness: 'You must find out *WHO* you are, and *BE* that person as hard as you can.' There is no point imitating other performers or repeating other people's jokes. You must be yourself, and find your own jokes in your own character. If this lad jumped about like Russell Brand, or tried to be a loud, blue-collar dude like Bill Burr, think how false and what a failure that would be.
WOW I just realized that the jazz player meant to post job as "Musician's Assistant" and not "Magician's Assistant". How did we get this skit and Bobby's interview with Suki in the same universe?
Guys, you all are like oh he's not funny blah blah..', He's onstage for 20 minutes and he keeps the audience with him the whole time. Those pauses and little 'uh's and 'um's are all scripted in his head; they're all planned; the soft voice, the courteous and yet somehow sort of steely personality: all designed. This is comedy the way a car is a car, and it works the way that a car runs, because you can hear the engine running.

Baaaaaahahahahaha!!!!!
Look at him now!
What a pretentious comment and you have a lame sense of humor this is the kind of stand up middle school students who think they have a sense of humor enjoy
I never knew about Julio until he was on with Seth last week. I love him. I can't believe he's 37. He, even now, looks barely 20.
Julio is the best comedian to emerge in a very, very, long time. A true original.
JORIAL John Richard Allan you would like Fred Armisen.
Fred Armisen is great yeah. I love "One Man Show"
How can I be as creative and original and funny as they are?
"This feels like a Q & A, where no Q was asked"
Oh gosh story of my life.
This dude is hilarious. Love the slow build up and the very dry humor.
He's an original. Do you know how rare that is in this field? Now almost everyone who picks up a microphone, thinks they are original. They are wrong. He is.
I love corporations
Alyshia McKee 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
His shirt is basically Mickey's hat in Fantasia!

He is such a good story teller I’m obsessed
I would agree it's interesting, and I know the slow movement of his act is the act, but it drives me crazy waiting.

Julio Torres is such a delight.

MusingsofaJay♡ same
His mom and sister make a lot of awesome clothes for him.
Is that the Alaska Flag (Benny's flag)?
Fine. You can have his shirt. Leave the rest of him for me.
byron p I’d rather him just not wear anything in the first place.
I know this doesn’t matter to literally anyone else, but I just pushed this video to 3K likes and I feel so happy for Julio 🤧
I got used to his delivery pretty easily, and than I loved every minute of it. This is my second time watching it lol
Rofllll, thank you Seth Meyers for having this guy on your show - I've been on a binge since then!!
Look up "Wells For Boys" and "Sectionals" if you want to see some of his work as an SNL writer.

He was most entertainable, young fellow and he just drew me in with his dialogue I had to listen to it to the end

Funniest man in comedy today!!
I love seeing how he's refined his jokes to still contain the same dry absurdism but in a much more sparkling and punchy way.
That boy is breaking new ground.
His New School comment was spot on 😂😂😂
This is my favorite Risk story ever on the 500th episode....
