- On September 9th, 1000 Olaf Tryggvason, the king of Norway, was ambushed by the allied kings of Sweden and Denmark with their fleet of over 70 warships. Olaf had only 11 warships, but instead of fleeing he decided to stay and fight. At first he and his men were able to hold off the attackers, but eventually, all his ships were taken 1 by 1. Rather than be captured, Olaf threw himself into the sea.

The cameraman is an absolute legend. First of all, he travels back in time 1,000 years! Then, he manages to get perfect camera angles of fight scenes, all while managing to not get killed AND stepping on legos the whole time!
Wow haha so funny
omg dumb kid
agreed
@@donut_Boi8 yeah true its so funny even ive seen this joke for the 28736464th time😐
Why is this comment not hearted
No back-scabard, no horned helmets. This is actually realistic.
Yes
No excessive braids or mohawks either,
Probably the most realistic lego battle I've ever seen.
None of that 2+ arrows on the string at the same time fantasy BS either.
the only issue is the black hair
I love how his stuff is more historically accurate than most TV depictions
Agreed
it might not be.

Today, September 9th, 2022, marks the 1022nd year anniversary of the Battle of Svolder (the battle this song describes) RIP Olav Tryggvason. We remember your story 1022 years later!
I love how a lot of this is actually pretty accurate to how the Vikings did stuff
Not really
Yeah just like Assassins creed Valhala
Oh?

Amazing!
I've seen better, but this is really good.
Yeah I agree with you it’s the best!

I'm really impressed with how dynamic the movements of the figs are and how good you are at give their movements some weight! It's very impressive for sure! I really liked the last shot where he jumped of the ship - great splashing effect! Really cool! Thanks for sharing your creativity and keep up the good work! :-)
Oh that looks really nice, man! Well done and keep up the good work!
thanks man!
I agree!

I love the Gillian in the beginning
Every time you blink you just Missed an hours worth of work
minutes* lol but i get your point
Lol
@@semelatifofalism5833 I do stopmotion you moron. When you blink you don't miss hours of work trust me. If that was the case this video will never have been finished. I'm not saying it's easy I'm saying he exaggerated.
You miss a couple of seconds is more accurate, it does not take long to make two or so frames! ;)
Ser Knight rly? its minutes actually
amazing Can you do more medieval battles ??
Как всегда на высоте.
Ты будто оживляешь их,
Ты случаем не колдун?
Allied Viking kings: we got you now Olaf
Olaf: nope
Блин, прикольно. Я аж детство захотел вспомнить. Ээээээээх пойти что-ли Лего из шкафа достать.... Поиграть...
Awesome animation man! Keep it up.
thanks!
Great looking and smooth movements! I like it.
cool
I can't believe you found historically accurate lego viking helmets, you did amazing with this but perhaps my one criticism is that the men with swords tended not to have shields in this when the probably would've though I understand if you didn't have enough to give them
That was awesome!
Really great!
Vikings Are Badasses
Where do you get your Lego figures from? Amazing content
Dude, this is nothing short of amazing.
Amazing job, so many great scenes in this film. I really love how you filmed the ships connecting to one another, the animation was superb!
thanks!
Damn, it almosut looks like a real life movie!
As a Norwegian I approve this video. Good stuff.
my only problem with this masterpiece is that the main characters deserve helmets too
Helmets are a human right
Rew00
Incredible!
This was awesome!
Well done.
the sound effects are part of what make a good movie
It's the little details that really make these special.
Wonderfull Sound, most animators have so-so sound effects but yours are spot on. Loved the crashing sounds where the ships hit each other.
This was a genuine pleasure to watch! Thankyou for creating this!
That´s the best Lego-animation nowadays!
thanks!
The lighting, movement, sets and the theme--Vikings! This is new, but it is very well done. I hope you're proud of this stuff.
Another great video as always!
This was the kind of stuff I felt like/wished I was making when I made my crappy lego stop motion movies as a kid lol.
You never fail to make me happy with your videos, whatever the theme is!
Every part of this stop motion is amazing! With the camera movement, the very smooth animation, and the range of LEGo figures all moving! With all the hooks throw around it must’ve been hard. With all the minifigures moving in every frame. Also with the stop motion being based off a true story! This is truly amazing!
thanks!
We are enjoying your builds ❤❤
The filming in this is amazing. How did the vikings have so many cameras?
Everyone had a smartphone in their pocket. The footage was of course in black and white.
You make clearly the best stop motion here on RUclips. It always looks impressivly awesome.
You should do the battle of Waterloo ,but sense the battle was so large you could focus on the charge of the french cavalry and the british form square. Or you could do the charge of the scotts Grey's as they overstep there charge after routing french infantry. And go right into the french artillery but get chased back by french lancers. Like down below if you would like either of these👍
Oh that would be wonderful!

AWESOME!!!! AMAZING!
My favorite part is when the blonde dude/Captain?? Slightly turns his axe at 0:08 in anticipation of the upcoming fight!!! I love the lil' details like that!!! GREAT JOB!!!
i from sweden and my ancestors were great vikings
I discovered your channel with the outstanding video about the Bismarck, then I casually played back your previous shorts, to my growing interest and amusement. Even more than by the unbelievable quality of your latest creations (let's safely say, 2019-2022), I was astounded by the rate of your improvement since you began making your very first stop-motion videos: we can see a hobby morphing into craft, a goofy amateur with few, dusty, old lego pieces blossoming in a true master of detail with an array of tools that matches his skill. If one pays attention in playing your contents from the eldest to the most recent, he can clearly see continuous, minute refinements, video after video, until, seemingly without any drama or clue, is watching masterpieces moving on the screen. This video here is for me the turning point, your reached artistic maturity, for a million of small reasons: one for all, the absence of the akwardly smiling faces we could still see in the previous videos, replaced by a masterfully staged set of "lego-emotions". Then, the improvement in the screenplay: the reached ability to grasp the attention upon the action, no more upon the figures itself. Sir, you and the Artists like you are the only reason RUclips should exist, forgetting all the useless, or worse, dangerous crap one finds here. I sincerely hope you read this message and be proud of yourself: your artistic voyage should inspire and amaze everybody else.
That was amazing. Great job
I'm actually Norwegen so I've got Viking blood in me
Dude you are amazing ,really good Job . 👍
Inspired...and wonderful!!
That was the best one yet !
Nice combat Scenes I love them.
I love how the masts sway from side to side. Nice little touch. Well done!

Incredible great work!
For those people who keep saying Thor is in this Stop-motion the face came from a Laketown Guard and a Hoth Rebel Trooper
that's really cool love it
Once again, I’m impressed. I will never know how you manage to add so much detail and make it so smooth. Keep it up!
Thanks!
