      That was the problem with this Model 20 when I purchased it. I will say to make sure to get all the gunk that's probably built-up in the lock recess and the receiver rails. I had to scrap a lot out before I could effective clean it. Good luck and thanks for watching.

      @@Alloy211 Nice video, very clear. It's always good to familiarize with how the firearm works with a deep clean before firing it live. It has the build quality of a Winchester Model 12, but is a bit livelier in the hands. Kind of like the Remington Model 31 and Ithaca M37 in handling characteristics.

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  4 года назад +3

      An Ithaca M37 is a gun I would like to pick up one day. I get what you by the handling. It's a nice contrast to the handling of my 870. Great video but I think my magazine tube/fore end is slightly different. I can't seem to get the magazine tube out of the fore end. It's retained somehow. It feels like there is a spring or something between the fore end and magazine tube when the fore end is completely forward. That little bit of spring force is causing the bolt to pop slightly out of battery when the trigger is pulled. Any ideas on how that forearm is retained? It seems like there is some kind of retainer that needs to be threaded off.
