- Use this before your drum buss compression🥁
It will basically remove the peaks…
Allowing your compressor to do all the heavy lifting🏋🏼
This makes for a super controlled heavy drum sound😎
1. Place a Clipper on your drum buss
2. Push the gain up on your Clipper so you’re taking off the main peaks
3. Now compress the drums

Bx clipper is absolutely insane
agreed! One of the best right now!
Its price is absolutely insane too.. still using good old StandardClip and V-Clip here
Newfangled Saturate is really good and cheaper too!
@@dudemcgee256 my favourite clipper, just a bit taxing on cpu for a clipper
Great thinking outside of the box, I would normally do it the other way round.
great advice! PEAKEATER is a good free alternative, and much lighter and stable for me 🎉
Yes! Peak eater is an excellent plugin
Great tip, thanks a lot
But what about the transients !! Which are very important specially for drums! We will gonna loose them..🥸🥲
Great work 👏👏👏👏👏💯🙏
Sweet! Like it. 👍
Thanks ❤️🔥
This is very useful. ✅
Nice one
Great tip
Hey thanks for this tip. It's another tool in my toolbox😊
Amazing
Thanks Streaky. Does this method apply to other instrument or vocal groups too?
Yes
Such a good tip, I used to put my clip after the compression oops
That can be useful too. Do what works and sounds good.
Record the drummer playing with Q-tips and you’ll get no transients! 😂😂 Jk people…
Streaky you are the man. You've taught me more tricks than anyone.
The guru speaks
French pronunciation is tricky for English natives. You still pronounce a lot like an English person would pronounce French (ze same way a Frrrench native would pronounce English in ze beginning of ze lurning prrrocess). However, your efforts will eventually pay off, Jade, I can only but encourage you to continue your lessons. And as always with languages, if you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a French-speaking context, don't hesitate in doing so. Again, hats off for your courage and your great progress 🙌
I hear it’s amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap jaw space with a tuning fork does a raw blink in Hari Kiri rock. I need scissors. 61!
Is there a stock clipper in Logic? I’ve never been able to find it.
Don’t think there is but kclip have a great free one Kclip zero 👍
@@albdnb thanks for the info! 🙏🏽
Look for ‘Clip’ setting in the stock LPX compressors, even the one he’s using here. It’s the nob that has ‘Off Soft Hard Clip’
@@eh2254 I appreciate you! I used to use that one but recently I started using PHAT FX and turning off all the settings and using the bottom right for soft limiting and hard clipping.

Can you do this on vocals too? If the singer is belting and has large volume differences
Of course! As always, just try shit and fuck around. Use your ears and listen

How can I do it on fl studio
Did you not hear what he said?
@@onion69420 he is using another daw
You can’t, it literally impossible
You do it by adding clipper than compression after 😂
@@Lychegsye-nc6td 🤦🏽♂️ Another clueless mind..
