Touching on the eating disorder topic, I was vegan before I had anorexia and the doctors didn't allow vegan diets in hospital because it was restriction but my mum had to explain that us as a family were extremely passionate about animals and all follow vegan/vegetarian diets, it came from love, not to control food. The doctors allowed it even though it caused a massive disruption with the other patients. I now have a better relationship with food, I eat whatever I want and I'm still vegan, if i want pizza I eat it, if i want an entire bar of chocolate I eat it... You can be vegan and recover from an eating disorder and with the vegan range these days it's easy to still eat almost everything you would on a meat diet.
I have struggled with my ED before and during the time I've been vegan on and off but for some reason I've noticed I've been slightly less depressed and food restriction just seems more silly to me now because i know that the food i eat now even junk food isn't something that makes me feel gross like meat and dairy type stuff used to. Idk id that makes sense but i feel like the way the food makes me feel really effect the severity of my ED when I first had it and during relapses

My unpopular food opinion- Mustard, Maple Syrup and a pinch of Cayenne Pepper = best salad dressing EVER 🤤!!!! Also, the vegan pizza my hubby makes at home BLOW any restaurant out of the water! He makes a mean street corn 🌽 pizza 🍕🤤🤤🤤🤤
Licorice is fantastic against viral issues, aids adrenals, great for autoimmune illnesses. It might not be very tasty, but is an amazing herb! I love heat in food. If you’re unable to taste anything when eating heat, it’s too hot. It should heighten your senses. Try a smaller amount 😊
I had an Ed and still struggle sometimes but I’ve successfully been a vegetarian for a while now. If you don’t view animals as food, it’s not restriction. Plus the vegan alternatives are amazing anyway and I couldnt eat real meat anymore without gagging.
One thing I can say about the ED part is that not everywhere there are vegan options. For example I"m Italian and here if you go to a restaurant as a vegan you can maybe get potatoes and grilled veggies which is really triggering because is kind of the same I would have when I was struggling with ED. If my friends go for ice cream I would have to get a fruit one, same as i did before recovery and so on
I completely understand this! I understand it's not easy for everyone to be vegan based on where they live and their surroundings.. I was talking about the mindset for people that do have the option and access to vegan options :)

AGREED ON THE LIQUORICE!!!! there are SO many teas i wanna buy especially the calming night time ones and they ALLLL have liquorice + camomile i them (i despise them both) it makes me so ANGRY
Whilst you'd have to buy them seperately and use a teaball/pot. Scullcap is a top notch sleepy herb, little bitter but goes well cut with lime juice. Valerian smells awful but actually tastes quite sweet, good with birch syrup. Passionflower is super fresh, really good with a pinch of lavender. Hops go well in blends. If you use shop ones, like Chamomile, I find the best taste is brewing it with some red and a little green apple and a pinch of cinnamon. (and always be sure Hot not boiling water esp with chamomile, brings out too much astringency if too hot or too long [more than 10min] and always cover your brew with a th a plate n collect the condensation as Volatiles=Medicinal compounds) Theres loads of options but yep, shop teas fail Imo.
@@SombreroPharoah aww thank you that sounds amazing!! i usually have either jasmine or raspberry leaf herbal teas, otherwise i stick to my decaf coffee or hot oak milk🤣
I agree with nearly all opinions but cereal! I absolutely love cereal and it‘s just one of my comfort foods because it was my favourite when i was a child before i developed anorexia but in contrast i hate icecream, cause i always binge on it idk why 😫
You make intelligently funny comments. Surprisingly I agree everything what you mentioned here. Btw I don’t understand not only pasta over pizza but also pasta and pizza at the same time.
So true about not seeing things as food. When I'm on holiday I think oh I love to try some of the fish but o just think Ew that was alive and had its own thoughts and feelings I literally couldn't eat it x
Nice tasting zucchini- Step one, Cut zucchini. step two, Place zucchini into a bowl. Step three, drizzle with olive oil. Step four, add a pinch of parsley, oregano, thyme, rosemary and vegetable stock powder into the bowl. Step five, mix and place onto a tray. Step six place the tray into the preheated oven and bake from anywhere between 15-30 minutes depending on temperature. 💚💜✨
I am in serious agreement with literally every opinion other then I don’t like spicy food period and I order pasta because pizza does not even make a dent in my stomach 😂! Also u loved what you said about eating disorders and veganism ( and the dig at Abby sharp).
Agree so much on the ketchup thing. I also eat it with everything. Love it with cauliflower and brokkoli. And i can tell you it’s delicious with rice (i am not a huge noodle eater but i love rice)
1. AGREED- cereal is a topping, a snack, a "walking by the pantry" grab and nothing more though it is delicious 2. egyptian licorice tea is my FAV and I am not here for the disrespect 3. i absolutely love zucchini. raw, roasted, and sauteed is delish. Agreed steamed is mushy and gross. 4. never had durian but just wanna try to see the hype 5. personally I went vegan when I was still stuck in my Ed and have thought about it now that I am recovered if I truly want to be vegan or if its my clinging Ed thought. Honestly the thought of eating meat is so revolting to me. No judgement to those that do but not something I can personally do. If I have days where I question whether my vegan diet is my eating disorder or not, I get some vegan 'junk food' and remind myself I dont need to eat animals to be fully recovered 6. cinnamon is AMAZING! Never tried it w avo but now I wanna. My personal fav cinnamon combo is with pineapple though! 7. no sir 8. ketchup is so underrated. I used to eat white rice, veggies, chickpeas, nutritional yeast, and ketchup for lunch every day in highschool lol 9. never tried (American) but really wanna cuz I feel like I would LOVE 10. team pasta always. If you go to a nice italian restaurant (NJ/NY knows how to do it) it does not compare to homemade
Cinnamon toothpaste is pretty great, I have recently tried it on watermelon and I do have to say it is good on just about anything 🤌🏽 I cannot agree about the spicy food though I live for spicy food as it awakens the senses 💚🙃
I cannot eat popcorn without nutritional yeast. It taste like a mix of butter and cheese. But I agree it does not taste like straight cheese. I don’t like it on potatoes.
This video made me laugh so much! Thank you for being so strongly vocal about your options on food! Love your videos so much and you inspired me to go vegan several years ago :) Oh…and liquorice is the work of the devil. Just the smell alone makes me want to move countries 🤢
I can agree about cereal now, but as a kid, I loved nothing better than a giant bowl of cereal - lol :) Totally agree on licorice - I just can't do it. I just realized I hadn't seen one of your videos lately and went looking for you - sorry to see that you've been away for a bit now. Always loved your 'Good morning! Beautiful people~ :) Take care
1. omg me neither like the difference between cereal and oatmeal shouldn't be that drastic but it is! 2. I love tea so this one bugs me so much! Licorice is so overpowering so even when I try to ignore it, I can't! 3. idk I think zucchini goes well in mediterranean dishes like minestrone! but yea steamed zucchini sounds kinda whack 4. I've never tried durian but I'm too scared to try haha I always put cinnamon in my potato stews! It's that extra something I've been saying that since I was I think 8 😂 okay no I will defend chili till the end of this world, it goes so well with lime, too! we actually eat ketchup pasta here in italy, too! well kids do xd same pizza is just sm more special plain tofu is bomb lol so is eating tofu sweet
1. I agree with you about cereal. Not for me. But I do like warm oats for breakfast in the winter. 2. I also hate licorice. It’s disgusting. 3. I disagree about zucchini. My mother in law makes this zucchini/potato soup that is so good… I also use it for zucchini lasagna. But plain steamed? No thanks. 4. Never had durian, but I’ve no desire to try it! 5. A plant-based lifestyle has greatly helped my ED (bulimia). It healed my relationship with carbs. Still in recovery, but doing much better than I was before I adopted a primarily vegan diet. 6. I’m so with you on cinnamon. Love it! 7. I’m not a fan of overly spicy food either. I prefer to keep my tastebuds in tact. 8. I haven’t used ketchup in forever. But I support your ketchup/pasta dish. 9. I’m a US American… no idea what marmite or vegimite tastes like. 10. I totally agree with you about getting pizza at an Italian restaurant. I’ll either get a pizza or risotto. Great video. ✌️
Chia seeds and chia pudding 🤢 I have been trying really hard but … I hate it. And smoothies I used to have them a lot but they fill my stomach and never satisfy me. I hate ketchup sorry. Fully agree on the pasta over pizza. Oignons garlic are sooo important ! Don’t like almond milk nor rice milk too watery but soy and oat milks are great. Oil free but tahini home made hummus is my staple😁 thanks for sharing your views not because we are vegan doesn’t mean we have to like every vegan food. 😉
Ketchup spaghetti...I'm italian and do not judge. I'm actually on my way to trying it, recently I've made a bowl of spaghetti with broccoli, carrots, garlic and sriracha so I'll get to ketchup eventually XD And steamed broccoli call for ketchup ABSOLUTELY
Miles, this was actually a VERY GOOD, ACCURATE video…you are so right on all levels. Haha this was so funny and true! I love the banana 🍌 comment lol i loveeee bananas. Haha I am sure as hell with you on all of this. Lol I love cereal, but barely eat it for this reason…only the one time I know I’ll need to eat the whole box!!! I love ketchup! I put it on everything. I buy ad many ketchup bottles as I do peanut butter…like 20 bottles lol.I’m obsessed haha. I hope you are ready for Christmas ….looking forward to your next video. Can you do a recipe video. Can you make one with another peanut butter smoothie and maybe a carrot or red velvet cake???❤️❄️much love miles
Wow I totally agree with you about the cereal, same reaction -- even those healthy Cheerios with almond milks, I have to eat the entire box and the whole carton of milk! Also the durian craze, yuck! I'm glad I'm not alone in my food aversions
Swede here. A bit offended by the licorice one... I love a good saaaalty licorice! BUT I know you love dill (witch we put in like everything) so I'll forgive you.
When you become tolerant to a lot of chilli, it doesn’t effect you like it would a person that barely has spicy food. I need a lot of chilli to taste it.
That tea one! Yes, I hate that they do that. I can only do Mexican squash and we don't steam it ew. Durian smells good, I've never opened one but the smell of peel is good. I had ortho and went vegan to minority restrict and eat healthy, but down the road it really helped me understand food nourishes and the whole picture of veganism.
So true about ketchup. Cinnamon on savory dishes? Why not, I should give it a try. In France (where I come from) a lot of people don't like tofu. I love tofu especially in dishes like Agedashidofu or in nuggets. It's so good
I love cereal. It’s my favorite dessert or snack but so true. It triggers me so bad. Once I have a bowl I just want more. I could eat a whole box of cereal.
I love Panda liquorice, it’s delish! Also, I put chili flakes on literally everything, even salads:) Interesting about cinnamon, I might try expanding my use of it.
Zucchini? I’ve just watched a video where you had zucchini mixed in with your roast veg, or courgette as we say in the UK. Totally agree on breakfast serial, I never ever eat that! 😂
On a serious note though - we should all level up and understand the cruelty of the dairy industry. Yr example of ice cream really isn’t something anyone should be eating either, unless it’s plant-based. IMO 🙏🏻❤️ Love you Miles
Agree with you about zucchini but have to strongly disagree with you about Durian. Went to Thailand just to eat Durian. It was a wonderful, Durian filled vacation. I also don’t understand why people say it stinks. I must be missing that brain smell receptor because I think it smells good.
It does smell good, and I love it, but if it's in an enclosed space it can make the room smell pretty strange, especially if it was a frozen durian. But yeah, generally they smell great.
Uhhh i agree so much with the first one i always get sooo hungry after eating cereal!!!!it’s like i ate nothing and it makes my appetite so much bigger like wtf
Totally agree with the ketchup PoV, I put ketchup on everything (even on actual tomatoes) 😃 And yes, I'm the one who will go to a bomb Italian restaurant and order pasta over pizza anytime 😂😂😂
Can’t agree more on that herbal tea point! I like actual liquorice but put it in tea and it makes me want to gag. So frustrated with brands like pukka that make it the second or third ingredient in almost everything
Unpopular opinion: I love eating the Banana peels when the banana is ripe. I make stir fried with then, put them in soups, in my rice big best of all I brush them with oil and bbq sauce , crisp them up in the oven and make crispy veggie bacon with them ☺️👌
although i completely disagree with the liquorice part.... ( don't worry, i still love you even if we disagree ahahahhhaahah), i 100% agree with you when you say about seeing animal as living being and then not eating them comes naturally. once my brain realised there was no difference between a cat and a cow... i went vegetarian. the same day. never missed eating meat or fish since. in portugal, they use a cinnamon stick to stir their coffee....try 🙂 omg...the ketchup part!!! i am italian...but for me ketchup is life!!! and yes, it goes with rice too!!!!!! and....hummus is life too!!!!
As someone who went vegan at a very dark ED moment, recovered, than recently relapsed... Veganism helped me back then to recover, becuase I wanted to show my family that in fact, I can recover on a plantbased diet (also, I've been tranistioning from meat eater to vegetarian to vegan for like 1,5 years, so it was not a radical change). I also made myself learn a lot about nutrition and that made me more excited for food and helped me to actually feed my body. I've relapsed recently, but it has absolutely nothing to do with being vegan (more to do with having caught the rona a few months back) as I simply do not see animal products as food anymore. I don't judge people who decide not to go vegan, and I dont want to invalidate the feelings of those having come from a background of restriction, but I guess they have just never made the connection in the first place, or dont generally feel that committed to animal welfare or environmental impact. OR are still not over their EDs if they fear veganism is a potential trigger.
SO true about the cereal making you more hungry omg lol
I agree except for like whole wheat stuff because the fiber fills me up. Most of it doesn’t though lol.
Definitely agree. With the exception of granola.
The only way I eat cereal is for dessert. Some chocolate Granola or cinnamon life with oat milk. Imo, it's a dessert, not a breakfast
It’s so strange isn’t it!

Ya spicy chilies are amazing.. you just get used to the heat.. and it just becomes like another flavor you crave.
Good point about Pizza. You’ve changed my future.
I totally agree with the cereal part lol does the same for me so oatmeal for life haha
I agree with nearly all opinions but cereal! I absolutely love cereal and it‘s just one of my comfort foods because it was my favourite when i was a child before i developed anorexia but in contrast i hate icecream, cause i always binge on it idk why 😫
I feel like I am the only one, who actually likes liquorice. You know what.. here’s my unpopular opinion: I LOVE LIQUORICE. I LOVE IT. 😂😂🖤
Same I absoltely adore liquorice
Big true on the cereal, all cereals. I eat sweet adzuki bean soup in the morning like cereal now.
Nice tasting zucchini-
Step one, Cut zucchini. step two, Place zucchini into a bowl.
Also u loved what you said about eating disorders and veganism ( and the dig at Abby sharp).
you! you and you’re cheeky way of delivering 😂🙏🏻 love it
Agree so much on the ketchup thing. I also eat it with everything. Love it with cauliflower and brokkoli. And i can tell you it’s delicious with rice (i am not a huge noodle eater but i love rice)
Same 😂 literally love ketchup so much
Ugh the liquorice part made me smash the like button so hard 😂 i HATE it, i literally cannot drink the tea if it has liquorice in it!
Man.. we've got to talk about zucchini. I'm sure you just didn't find a delicious way to eat it yet. Cause it is amazing! 😋
1. AGREED- cereal is a topping, a snack, a "walking by the pantry" grab and nothing more though it is delicious
2. egyptian licorice tea is my FAV and I am not here for the disrespect
3. i absolutely love zucchini. raw, roasted, and sauteed is delish. Agreed steamed is mushy and gross.
4. never had durian but just wanna try to see the hype
5. personally I went vegan when I was still stuck in my Ed and have thought about it now that I am recovered if I truly want to be vegan or if its my clinging Ed thought. Honestly the thought of eating meat is so revolting to me. No judgement to those that do but not something I can personally do. If I have days where I question whether my vegan diet is my eating disorder or not, I get some vegan 'junk food' and remind myself I dont need to eat animals to be fully recovered
6. cinnamon is AMAZING! Never tried it w avo but now I wanna. My personal fav cinnamon combo is with pineapple though!
7. no sir
8. ketchup is so underrated. I used to eat white rice, veggies, chickpeas, nutritional yeast, and ketchup for lunch every day in highschool lol
9. never tried (American) but really wanna cuz I feel like I would LOVE
10. team pasta always. If you go to a nice italian restaurant (NJ/NY knows how to do it) it does not compare to homemade
Cinnamon toothpaste is pretty great, I have recently tried it on watermelon and I do have to say it is good on just about anything 🤌🏽 I cannot agree about the spicy food though I live for spicy food as it awakens the senses 💚🙃
i read your comment as, you like cinnamon toothpaste on your watermelon
I cannot eat popcorn without nutritional yeast. It taste like a mix of butter and cheese. But I agree it does not taste like straight cheese. I don’t like it on potatoes.
Thank you for speaking up for the animals ❤️.
Agree with most but as Mexican I can't agree with the spicy one lol. You have to use the right amount of spice though.
This video made me laugh so much! Thank you for being so strongly vocal about your options on food! Love your videos so much and you inspired me to go vegan several years ago :)
Oh…and liquorice is the work of the devil.
I feel you with the licorice in tea thing hahahah lol
1. omg me neither like the difference between cereal and oatmeal shouldn't be that drastic but it is!
2. I love tea so this one bugs me so much! Licorice is so overpowering so even when I try to ignore it, I can't!
3. idk I think zucchini goes well in mediterranean dishes like minestrone! but yea steamed zucchini sounds kinda whack
4. I've never tried durian but I'm too scared to try haha
I always put cinnamon in my potato stews! It's that extra something I've been saying that since I was I think 8 😂
okay no I will defend chili till the end of this world, it goes so well with lime, too!
we actually eat ketchup pasta here in italy, too! well kids do xd
same pizza is just sm more special
plain tofu is bomb lol so is eating tofu sweet
the cereal one is SO true. It was always a trigger in my ed because it’s just so easy to eat an entire box, in a bad, spiral kind of way
From one Miles to the next...totally agree and I'm still watching 😊😉
That was a lovely video, loved the eating disorder part, you’re so right. Kiss from Paris ♥️
Mustard goes on anything, not ketchup, even less mayo (yes, even mustard over fries)
I feel the same about cereal lol. It makes me so hungry
“ it tastes of less than water with a bit of an offensive hit”- Lol!!!
Black licorice all the way! I feel that way about cilantro!
I 100% agree with the cereal !!
Omg 😂 this video is awesome omg you have me dying over here lol
BRILLIANT, Thank you!
Haha you’re welcome ❤️
Wow I totally agree with you about the cereal, same reaction -- even those healthy Cheerios with almond milks, I have to eat the entire box and the whole carton of milk! Also the durian craze, yuck! I'm glad I'm not alone in my food aversions
totally agree with the cereal stuff...i'll snack on it, dry, sometimes, but for breakfast or a meal, i just do not see the appeal
“It tastes just like water with a bit of an offense of hit” LOL 😂
Come to Germany. No Liquorish in teas hear. There is something called "Süßholzwurzel" that has something to do with it, but it's not very common
It's so good
YES YES YESSSSS CEREAL IS NOT FILLING AND ONLY MAKES ME WANT AND NEED MORE TO FEEL SATISFIED
I like licorice but haven’t had it in awhile. I should get some
Zucchini? I’ve just watched a video where you had zucchini mixed in with your roast veg, or courgette as we say in the UK. Totally agree on breakfast serial, I never ever eat that! 😂
Eyyyyy, happy holidays, Miles! Cheers for always putting out quality content!
On a serious note though - we should all level up and understand the cruelty of the dairy industry. Yr example of ice cream really isn’t something anyone should be eating either, unless it’s plant-based. IMO 🙏🏻❤️ Love you Miles
I assumed plant based cereal and ice cream was implied because he's vegan.
With you on liquorice, so many teas binned in my house cause it was lurking in their somewhere..
Uhhh i agree so much with the first one i always get sooo hungry after eating cereal!!!!it’s like i ate nothing and it makes my appetite so much bigger like wtf
I love burnt food and only really like things that are crunchy. Soft foods gross me tf out and I think charred food is just way fucking better
Totally agree with the ketchup PoV, I put ketchup on everything (even on actual tomatoes) 😃 And yes, I'm the one who will go to a bomb Italian restaurant and order pasta over pizza anytime 😂😂😂
So with you on the pizza and the ketchup thing. Damn you understand me 🔥🔥🤤
Can’t agree more on that herbal tea point! I like actual liquorice but put it in tea and it makes me want to gag. So frustrated with brands like pukka that make it the second or third ingredient in almost everything
Unpopular opinion: I love eating the Banana peels when the banana is ripe. I make stir fried with then, put them in soups, in my rice big best of all I brush them with oil and bbq sauce , crisp them up in the oven and make crispy veggie bacon with them ☺️👌
We need more of these goddammit!!
I 1% agree with the ED one. I had severe Anorexia and Bulimia and , in a spiritual way, veganism has helped me heal m relationship with food.
Nutritional yeast is totally FISH FOOD OMG
100% agree with you on the chilli food 🥵
Also don’t understand people who choose pasta over pizza. Pasta is literally so easy to make at home
Pizza is too though
Yogi Tea has plenty of herbal teas without licorice 😊
Have you tried vegan fried squid? It is made out of the fried flowers of the zucchini plant
omg hahah i love licorice! its literally the must for me in all herbat tea blends i buy i always check if its there and 😅😃🙈
oh these are the good old videos I signed up for 🙌🏽
although i completely disagree with the liquorice part.... ( don't worry, i still love you even if we disagree ahahahhhaahah), i 100% agree with you when you say about seeing animal as living being and then not eating them comes naturally. once my brain realised there was no difference between a cat and a cow... i went vegetarian. the same day. never missed eating meat or fish since.
in portugal, they use a cinnamon stick to stir their coffee....try 🙂
omg...the ketchup part!!! i am italian...but for me ketchup is life!!! and yes, it goes with rice too!!!!!!
and....hummus is life too!!!!
I’ve always said that about cereal!
I pray you never stop making videos bro 🙏🏻
