The employee do not have to invest the entire amount of a two wheeler downpayment right at the start, with only a little extra payment they can start working and could use rented scooters from fleet till they have saved enough to make a downpayment for a loan
This startup has immense potential of growth all over India.. Specially Smart cities.

U must install a charging station where power comes from solar panels which stores power to batteries. Which then with the help of inverters charge these scooters. Coz if u use grid supply which requires coal to produce power ultimately pollute air. It can also reduce ur running cost.

Salute you for your initiative.. I saw many startup and initiative in many cities like Pune, banglore but Happy to see Kolkata people are also thinking about it.

Superb initiative...this will push the online cabs to go for electric vehicles
The electric scooters or for that matter any electric vehicle will reduce pollution or promote sustainability only when it is charged by renewable energy. The best way is to not be lazy and just ride a cycle. Cycle rentals should be opened every 4kms and for long routes opt for public transport.

Good Initiative But yet very small scale. We need it to be adopted on mass level, Make laws and make it like mandatory. Exception to only who really need four wheeler. Also, Put on new trams.

most (79%)of the power generated in india is thru thermal power plant...so will this curb the pollution??
It's certainly more eco-friendly than guzzling out petrol and diesel fumes. The system isn't exactly zero-emission sort, but certainly the carbon-footprint is considerably reduced.
It's taking out pollution from City area to nearby plant.

Electric scooters in general do not provide a lot of power. I'm not sure of the actual number but they're in general very slow. So licence or no licence, one can't really go at high speeds
Electric scooters or any electric vehicle can be really fast and very torque-y but with the high battery price and lack of experience in designing and manufacturing EVs the 'fast' ones are not yet there in our market... And 'fast' ones won't be cheap enough for rentals.. at least not in upcoming few years
But hey Look on the bright side ! You don't need a license to rent a motorized vehicle.

Ok everything is good but is the electricity for these scooters made with renuable power . It is true that they emmits less pollution than a car , but saying it is zero pollution is wrong . Research shows that the electrical vehicals emmit roughly the same pollution as their combustion engine counterparts . Simply put " electric powered vehicals are coal powered vehicles " .

Stop calling Dabadigo scooters 'zero emission' .To charge any electric/battery vehicle, you need electricity. Generating electricity is not emission free. Use of the word ZERO is a problem
34.6% of India's electricity is renewable and growing well. a start-up like this encourages the growth and market of renewable energy.
but the pollution still now less than 80% if you compare it with any petrol engined scooters
@@arghyadeep5738 lithium-ion batteries are recyclable up 95% and as tech improves it'll be better. so currently according to many research manufacturing EV causes half the pollution Petrol cars release in their life time generally. so once the EV is manufactured (~50% pollution) and the next generations or EV can use recycled batteries after 5-10 years of the first gens lifetime. (less than 5% pollution ). now what do you think is better is your choice.
Zero emission means they do not emit. It does not mean your electricity is zero emission.
@@vinoddamji5729 Thanks for your reply.The vehicle itself might be zero-emission but it takes electricity to charge the scooter. And generating electricity in not emission free.
two-wheelers are better than cars, because they require a much smaller footprint than cars do, to move 1 person.
Sounds less like the merits of electric scooters and more like a paid advertisement or sponsorship for dabadigo.

@@mohammedtalwala8771 because just a small bunch of electric scooters are not going to change Kolkata 's PM 2.5 levels at all. A comprehensive solution is needed. This includes switching all public transport to CNG or electric transport and phasing out older vehicles. Who will use electric scooters having a speed limit of 25kmph on a daily basis? It's impractical.

Did I saw it wrong that the owner was riding a bike and his helmet was not strapped and just loosely wearing...that is dangerous.
I really like the idea, but driver's license even at age 30+ isn't acceptable. While it doesn't matter, because it costs 1000rs to get it without writing or giving the test anyway.
16% people have drivers license. Really.
great initiative by the person for getting more 2 wheeler EV's but the state government hasn't done anything to promote cycling.
They have demoted the transport as the last resort by no cycling in all the major roads.
in fact, EVs are not the solution. It is the the wrong decisions made by the people and is ignited to fire by the Kolkata police by not allowing us to cycle peacefully.
In conclusion, the title given to this video is not apt according to me.
