      We've been really happy with it! Unfortunately, we can't retrofit it onto an Original TOPO at this time.

    Great design, probably the best teardrop trailer on the market. I noticed a couple issues from the video:
    1. It appears to have some rusting around the area of suspension joints.
    2. Would be great to include how to access and maintain the heater, water tank, etc.
    3. I wish there is a different version with lower ground clearance. not everyone needs 23 inch. It may be too high with roof rack/tent for some garage. 18 inch clearance would be more than enough for most and the extra space could be used for storage.
    4. I wish there is a small stepping area outside of the door

      3. Air suspension that you can raise for off-road, or lower on the highway or at camp would be great

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  Год назад

      Hi Fan Ye! Thank you for the thoughtful comment and sorry for our delayed response!
      1) The suspension joints were covered in red dust from our trip to the desert which may give the appearance of rust, but our suspension is galvanized so rust shouldn't appear for years (if at all).
      2) We have new videos on this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLja3vDHelkVWp9x2XOlFt7LEHCJjteOZL. The access panels will be covered soon, so stay tuned!
      3) Great point about the clearance and definitely something to consider for the future.
      4) What do you mean in regard to a stepping area? An actual step or a landing platform?
      Thanks again & happy trails!

    Hi there. Really loving the TOPO2.
    At 11:10 in the video, you mentioned you needed the generator to charge the TOPO2 on the road? Can you please clarify? I would think it would charge from the 7 pin connector from the vehicle?
    If not, is this something to consider for the final production models?
    Thanks for the answer
    Edit: Should have phrased the question whether there's a consideration to add something like a Redarc or Renogy DC to DC charger so it would allow to charge from the 7 pin.

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  2 года назад +2

      Great questions! The TOPO2 can be charged via shore power (the generator or just hooking it up to standard outlet with an extension cord) or by solar power. We haven't considered the ability for the trailer to charge through the 7 pin at this time, but maybe something we will look into in the future! Thank you for your thoughts, its much appreciated!

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  2 года назад +2

      Just wanted to clarify our previous answer - the generator was brought along because of the a/c unit that we were testing. It is not generally required for normal use cases. As for charging via 7-pin, we opted against that method because it is a very slow charge. The TOPO2 comes standard with a 140W panel that will charge while you drive at a much faster rate. The Original TOPO has a 100W panel that is an optional upgrade and still charges much faster than through the 7-pin. Both trailers come standard with a shore power port for charging options as mentioned previously. Thank you!

    The sink behind the stove is a little awkward like other person said. Does the water tank, when full, affect the towing?

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  2 года назад +4

      Hi Jimmy! Thanks for your comment and thoughtful question. The water tank does not impact the quality or stability of the tow. It is strategically positioned as close to the axel as possible, so there is minimal impact to the weight balance whether it's empty or full.
      We'll keep monitoring the functionality around the sink. We've found that we're typically not using both the sink and stove at the same time, so it hasn't interfered too much, but your perspective is understandable. Appreciate you taking the time to watch our video & comment.

  • @MikeAG333

    No, a fridge does NOT use more battery. Compressor fridges are far more efficient than absorbtion coolers, and require far less power.

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  2 года назад

      Thanks for your feedback! We are speaking in terms of more battery use if you upgrade from the YETI cooler that comes standard to the ARB fridge/freezer option.

    Camping without a tent isn't camping you may call it picnic your this trailer is good for picnic, sleeping in tent in remote area is thrilling. If you want luxury, stay at home.
    I'm wildlife photographer in this regard i have spent many nights in tent in the forest, preparing food on wood fire is an other story.

  • @Ajjakakkaka
    @Ajjakakkaka 2 года назад +2

    Looks very well made. I’m just not sure that I love the sink and stove design. For a taller individual the stove just simply looks a bit too short, and when pulled out, getting to the sink seems really awkward, like you’d be leaning over fire or hot food cooking. I have a camp chef mountaineer stove that put out 40k btu and has a lot more cooking area than your stove. With kids running around I just see bad things happening with that stove being so low and having no lips for the pans to stay in place.

      So, I was told the stove top when pulled out is 36" high. If true, then it is the normal height of a standard kitchen counter. Just what we are used to for cooking on.

      @EscapodTrailers  Год назад

      Hi Emma! Sorry you're not excited about the controls. As for the foot space, the TOPO2 has more foot space, headroom, and storage than the Original TOPO. What makes you think otherwise?

  • @strix9013

    I know you can upgrade to 200 A/H lithium batteries. Is there an option to add more than that to get more longevity? Also, the ability to expand on the solar system?
    Love the trailer, and hopefully, this time next year, I'll have my own.

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  Год назад +1

      We don't currently have an option to expand the solar system - but have found that with this battery and panel set up, you are able to regenerate a lot of the charge and maintain your basecamp for extended amounts of time! We have had some owners expand their setup post build.

    Hello! I absolutely love this trailer. I do not have one myself but definitely want to get one now. After watching the video I had a idea for where the decorative panels are inside. Maybe redesign those to be three levels of shelf space, a two hinge system that would allow them flip up and down as needed with a shelf depth that is the same as the night stand. Or another idea would be a bigger solo drop down shelf that could act as desk space when sitting up and back in the trailer maybe. I think either would be really useful and another great feature to an already amazingly well thought out trailer.. 🤙

    Jenn where do the toddlers sleep? Seems tight for a husband/wife/kid but looks like great trailer!

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  Год назад

      Hi Brett! We all sleep inside the trailer. It's a true-queen with additional space on either side. Because the bed is enclosed and you can't fall off of it, you can use the full real estate! We may add a rooftop tent at some point, but haven't found the need just yet. The only time we feel a little crowded is when we pile our 65 lb. dog in there with us!

    • @EscapodTrailers
      @EscapodTrailers  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Burke! We typically store the generator in the tongue box for travel, but then run it outside next to the shore power point.
