Such outstanding design! Escapod is pushing the teardrop envelope. It looks like they have analyzed every feature from every angle to maximize utility. Super nice job.
Nice!! There is plenty of space inside. I especially like how they did design it around doors to keep water out. I'm amazed how much campers are now too much. I'm not sure how much this one is. I've own through the years a 34' rv, a fifth wheel and travel trailer how and a truck camper, my favorite was the truck camper cause it didn't take up much space and I could just pull over and go to sleep.
Amazing trailer with some innovative features that I haven’t seen before! I’d love to see a custom awning that snaps onto the trailer that actually follows the upper contours of the trailer to seal off the gaps between the curved trailer and flat awning. A huge bonus would be an attachable screen room addition that seals off the bottom of the trailer with zippered access door into the trailer would be huge as well. The screen room addition would allow for extra living and sleeping space as well as a comfortable entry area for those of us in northern country that deal with humid bug-filled summers. You could set up an outdoor entry mat, some chairs and a table with cots for sleeping extra people.
Some very nice features; inexcusable for such an expensive teardrop to not include standard screens on all windows and doors. Also, the tongue is way too short; should be at least a foot longer to not have to use an extended drawbar from the tow vehicle.
Very nice design. Will certainly give this consideration. Would you speak more to refilling the water tank and the shower feature in a future video. Also, would be nice to have you demonstrate the accessibility of mechanicals for repair or replacement since you tout the expected longevity/durability of the trailer. Lastly, it seems petty to not include door screens and shades in a $40,000-$45,000 teardrop loaded with other features. Seems incongruent. . Overall, presents well.
Let me share a few thoughts. First, I am happy to see a very upscale product being offered on such a small sized trailer. I find its fairly difficult to get high quality features on the travel trailers and teardrops, whereas the Class B and Class A RV's are mostly very high in quality and in price. As for the $43K price for such a tiny trailer, I see why there is pushback, however, I think there is a strong case to be made for paying this price as teardrops have many advantages over larger RV's. Those advantages include being able to tow with with almost any vehicle (like a Tesla or off-road jeep if desired). Towing and driving could not be easier (a far better ride in your car than your 40' Class A diesel pusher?). You can tow it with your daily driver, so you just saved $30K to $50K on a separate tow vehicle. I like the idea of a tear drop for traveling solo vs with a family. Additionally, I like the flexibility of leaving the trailer somewhere and just traveling with your vehicle instead. Very easy to put the trailer in storage anywhere (say a 10 x 20' storage unit). You could opt for a cabin or hotel rental vs. feeling like you are committed to staying in the larger RV you invested in. As for size, you can easily bring along a clamshell tent with 100-150 SF of extra room (in warm weather). With the rear kitchen feature, use of that outdoor space gives you nice comfortable kitchen room, with perfect ventilation - except its not good for inclement weather. So, I think the teardrop format offer great flexibility in a very flexible and easy to manage size.
One 110 outlet in the galley inside the cabinets & one inside a cubby in the cabin (closer to the laptop stand). A/C will be roof mount & will run off the 12V system. Backup generator or shore power will be required for multi day use of the a/c
Amazing design but 2x the prior model price, yikes. Also agree that you should make sure sound quality is clear so we can hear about all of the features.
The two models are very different, which is why we are continuing to build both! We want to be able to match where people are at and help them get the trailer of their dreams in the price range they are comfortable with. With the sound quality, we will definitely work to find ways to make it a little better in the future. Thank you for your feedback!
It’s top of the line and an amazing product. Checks off all of the boxes and very well thought out design. I just need to start and adventure fund and save my $$
+1. . Wow! . The Escapod ToPo2 teardrop trailer is a Grand Slam home run at any ball park. . Well done! . That's a kick ass design, yeah bring money, however when ever is the tier-one unit in the market cheap? .. We'll done Escapod folks!!
Dear madam , this trailer is in front of his time ,despite price seen the construction there is a balance . And a video gives perhaps not enough time to explane . But because your trailer is well thinkt through as for many things ,the strong things about it ,has ,shoud be in the spotlight by close up ect. Kind regards from the netherlands and who will tell for europe.
Definitely understand that! The stargazer comes standard with a screen and we have door screens available as an add-on for those who want it. We definitely love having the screens when we go camping!
Watertank capacity is 21 gallons! There is a shower that you set up from the galley to pull of the water tank. We have a pop up shower tent in our Amazon Storefront that we reccomend!
Most of our team opts for digging a hole, we know that’s not for everyone! If you’d prefer to sit down to take care of your business, we recommend bringing along a portable toilet that happens to fit nicely in our tongue box. If you’re concerned about privacy, we recommend bringing a quick pop-up tent or utilizing the annex room add-on to create your own camp bathroom!
@@EscapodTrailers ...I missed the option for the annex room add-on! Shall have to check that out soon. I have had trouble with the popup tents before--poor father and son got more of a show than expected when the mountain winds blew it over on me. Yikes!
Would be terrifying to see what a ravenous determined massive male Grizzly could do to this? Perhaps they could get it bear-proof certified like some of those roto-molded coolers?
California crazy. $42,000 for a bed on wheels. Oh, it is nice, but not realistic for people who still have to work for a living. Black Bean for half this one.
Thanks for your thoughts! While it is a little more than a bed on wheels, we do understand that it's not a trailer for everyone. And just another note the Black Bean model is priced at 39K with an average build price of 46K, according to their site!
Really like all of the upgrades EXCEPT the screenless doors.
You're producing really cool products that deserve better audio quality.
Appreciate that! We will definitely be looking into better options to have better sound quality for future walkthroughs!
Wish these things could be mass produced to knock the price down. Love these little offroaders but they cost nearly as much as my truck.
Mass produced or not. Everything is through the roof and not justified
I really love how all the background noise gives it that “organic” feel. So we’ll done.
Such outstanding design! Escapod is pushing the teardrop envelope. It looks like they have analyzed every feature from every angle to maximize utility. Super nice job.
Thank you for your kind words Devin!
That teardrop is truly amazing. Unfortunately I’ll never be able to afford one but I can build one!
Jen THE voice of Escapod!

Thank you for showing this teardrop 👍
Of course! Thank you for taking the time to watch.
I’ll be looking at this and a Bean. Tough choice.
Very tough choice!!!!
Which did you choose and what were the deciding factors?
I’m worried with the 1 piece construction that if you were to get into a small accident or fender bender how it would be fixed and could it be fixed?

Thanks for your input John! Definitely something we can look into for a future video.
That is awesome! I can see a wrap with my sponsors on it and the kayak on top as I travel to tournaments.
Love the camper…. And I think you’re absolutely beautiful! ❤
Do you have anything to protect the stargazer window from rocks and the like? Love the design!
We have rock rails that you can add to your build, that will help with rocks hitting the body & the stargazer!
I love this ... very well thought out. Cheers!
Thank you so much!

Thanks for your thoughts! You spoke to the advantages of having a teardrop in tow perfectly 😀
Lets see your rig
Your missing the California market, show them here !
Hi Steve, we usually come out to California to Sea Otter Classic yearly! to show off our trailers! Maybe you can catch us there next time.
Looks great! Would love to know where the 110V outlets will be located, as well as how the air conditioner will be integrated. Thanks for sharing!

@@EscapodTrailers Excellent! Thanks for the quick reply.
chassis applied with raptor liner would be the best!
Thanks for showing us! Looks great!

Brilliant. Every feature, is so well thought through.
Thank you for your kind words Christine!
$43k starting point. Expensive, but personally I would rather build out a van for that much

Hi Antoon, Thank you for your kind words! They are much appreciated!
Where are you based? I live in California and I don’t want to drive across the states to buy one. Thanks
We're located in Utah, about 45 minutes east of Salt Lake City. We also have options for delivery.
Ok, when time to order one I will let you know. Thank You!
Lots of bugs were I live.
Gota have screens on doors and windows.
Definitely understand that! The stargazer comes standard with a screen and we have door screens available as an add-on for those who want it. We definitely love having the screens when we go camping!
No openable windows in the doors? If not then no cross ventilation?
The 2.5' x 5' stargazer window opens and provides nice ventilation. There are also door screens that can be added but are not a standard option.
Are there additional jacks under the trailer to stabilize it when parked? Up front seems especially unstable with the just the single hitch jack.
Yes! There are two rear stabilizers that can be used to level & stabilize the trailer when parked.
It was great to meet you at the SLOR Expo. This is a great unit and concept.
Thank you, Stacy! It was a pleasure meeting you as well. We love when people have the chance to see our product in person! Thanks for coming out.
Wow! that's an amazing trailer.
My little off roader can tow up to 2950lbs, is the TOPO2 suitable for my car?
Sure is! This trailer weighs in under 2000 lbs.
Nice cool
Where are watertank (-capacity) , shower??? Should probably include a shower tent close to outside shower/ heater?

Good video, would be better without the randoms in the background yelling
43k... Come tf on now. These prices are just out of hand.
You should a market in Thailand. I loving it
Glad you love it! We aren't currently set up for international sales, but fingers crossed it will be something we can do in the future!
Bear safe ?
Would be terrifying to see what a ravenous determined massive male Grizzly could do to this? Perhaps they could get it bear-proof certified like some of those roto-molded coolers?
Are shades provided for the doors? What is the price on this unit as shown?
According to the website, you can purchase black out shades for the door.
LeAnne is right. The Pod will come with a shade for the star gazer and shades for the doors will be available for purchase!
40-45k based on the build worksheet on their website. It does come with a lot of standard features but weird the shades are not included.
This is sweeet!
It's ridiculously heavy and expensive.
Cute….
Invest in some decent mics! Your sound is terrible. I had to give up half way through.
cute and cool! 💋👌
to many people talking in back ground

Bitchin!
Awful noise
Too expensive and I can basically do the same thing wither the interior of my highlander vehicle.
Horrible
Why did you post this with that audio?
Take it down ASAP dummy. You look nickel and dime.
