    Thank you for posting this. It's videos like this that make me realize how much I take for granted in my life.

    They took him to the perfect place for his first experience. All those flowers etc. I can only imagine how he feels with the newly available spectrum. Pretty overwhelming!
    One question I have never seen answered in similar videos: Is food more appetizing, once the colors can be sensed more clearly?

    Now that it's 8 years out, are you still using them? Have you tried the indoor glasses?

    Unfortunately, another gloomy day to test out the glasses. In spite of that, he managed to see the difference. Thanks for sharing.

      Yeah, I get that. I've never been colorblind but it bothers me too when people in these videos say that type of thing... Joey is going to see color for the first time in his 52 year life... ummm no Joey has seen color just not the same way or as vividly as a normal person might, or there are certain colors that don't look the same. People just don't think about what they are saying. Very few, if any color blind people see in black and white or gray.

    Why do so many people keep taking the glasses on and off; and why don't the givers make sure they don't.

      @Center1240 EnChroma has finally admitted that flipping the glasses makes no difference in the long run - only in the beginning.

      It's just for people who don't see a difference at first.

    Man I don't want to come across harsh but the poor guy is asking questions and the man filming doesn't answer him. pay attention. "Is this Blue? No that's yellow. No not that.". I think the guy knows the difference between blue and yellow, he's trying to understand the difference between blue and purple. Sorry, that just annoyed me for some reason.

      It sometimes takes weeks of everyday wear to work, sometimes it works instantly, and it rarely it does nothing. From what I've read, it has a 90 something success rate for people with born colorblindness. They're pretty incredible. I hope one day you get the chance to experience color!

      there is a website you can test your color blindness vision on it to see if the glass's will work. 80% of the people have red/green colorblindness and it will work, but 20% have a different type which won't work. The website gives you a test to see if they will work for you. They work for most people with colorblindness.

    No, the guy most definitely HAS seen colour before, but in muted shades. Thumbs down for suggesting he has spent his entire life seeing in grayscale.

      Taco Shuriken, some colorblind people can see a few colors but not all.

    • @JanPBtest
      @JanPBtest 7 лет назад +2

      "Colourblind" is a misnomer. It denotes a different (reduced) colour perception. It does not mean the absence of it.

    • @PeterPauls
      @PeterPauls 6 лет назад +1

      JanPBtest Yeah, you are my man. In my mothertounge we don’t call it colorblindness ( we use it for people who don’t see any colours ) I am colourblin in English, but in my mothertounge I habe reduced color vision. But this glasses doesn’t make miracle. I have red-green colorblindness and I can see the difference between blue an purple. Maybe I can’t see as rich as other people, but I see every colour. So these emotional bullsh vids pushing my buttons, because we see colours, these glasses only stronger them....

    • @JanPBtest
      @JanPBtest 6 лет назад +1

      The tricky part is that there are many variations and degrees of the red-green anomaly but Enchroma currently make only one type of glasses which are geared to the average case. That's one reason why some people can see a big difference with the glasses and others are like, "meh...". My guess is in the future the manufacturer will be able to offer different types of lenses for different types of the colour deficiency.

    I’ve watched a few of these videos and now I’m wondering are color blind guys more likely to be attractive? So many of that guys are handsome or a hottie.😍 😄
