PACU and Observation Unit - Behind the Scenes - Nebraska Medicine

After a surgery is complete, Nebraska Medicine patients spend some time in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and the Observation Unit. It’s an important step to make sure each patient is ready to go to their hospital room, or if it’s an outpatient procedure, to head home. Perioperative Services Director Mark Emodi introduces us to some of the people committed to making sure their patients have the best possible experience after their operation is complete.
