I'm 38 but every word you said resonates with me. My ex of 3 years (5 years younger, extremely financially successful, looked like a runway model, but treated me very poorly and then left our shared home in a horrible way). Seeing my dating apps tell me that I need to widen my already very minimal dealbreakers because I've run out of men who fit my criteria in a 50mi radius - yes I X'd out lots of men, but it was because I could imagine myself in a physical situation with them. It feels terrifying to throw yourself into the unknown, but pursuing what you love puts you in the path of likeminded people, and if you're out and looking good but more importantly feeling good, there are plenty of single men around you who may make a move.

I really love how at 51 you seem very energetic and optimistic. Not jaded about love and relationships. Sometimes it can seem like the longer you're single, you kind of resign yourself to that's how it will always be. But that isn't true. I'm in my early 50s. single for 2 decades.
do i believe i can meet a good husband/partner at this age? no. the good ones are taken and what is left is not something you one. even if you find one, they have financial luggage, emotional luggage and kids.

38 and I’m not independent depending on family becuase of my disability. My last relationship was when I was 15. Which doesn’t count . It only last a week. My family knows about me and they care . If I find someone that would care just like my family then. I’ve had friends that would pick me up from home but got tired . I’ve had zero best friends . I have friends just Becuase it’s within my brothers and sisters . And friends from school . But no best friends that will turn into a relationship Becuase of my disability. Majority I stay home with my mom. And you say nothing is wrong with me. Smh 🤦
