Can you please share the code you use to get The depth view divided into nine grid like boxes and closest depth in each grid is printed? Thank you so much
hello rishabh this demo and d455 range test video was super useful for me. thanks a lot am planning to buy d455 can i get the raw data i mean left images and right images seperately to a folder using this camera. imean is the feature available with this camera?
D435i manual: 20cm to 10m D550 manual: 40cm to 20m So why do you compare them at 15m ? One is out of range. And you forget to compare short ranges. Hmmm. What does that pipe do in your hand ?
Hi. Regarding your first question: you are right, the 5m, 10m comparisons are more relevant to the D435i. But it was interesting for me to see what happens beyond 10 meters, so I shared this video. On my channel you'll find another video where I am testing the D455's range much beyond 20m as well. I do not compare short ranges (less than 1 meter) because my use case is usually obstacle avoidance on large drones (you can see the experiments on my channel) where detecting obstacles between 1-15 meter is far more important. But you can find several videos online that compare short ranges. As for the pipe, its just to differentiate my body with a smaller object. In obstacle avoidance, we often want to avoid small obstacles and so the pipe seemed appropriate. Towards the end of the video 2:58 , you can see I wave the pipe to see if the depth image can capture the change from that far away distance.
d455 is the worst camera I've ever bought. the color is all messed up and their solution suggestion is bullshit. you should mention this on your videos too!
Hello! I am sorry you have troubles with the D455. I use it for obstacle avoidance on drones and don't have much use of the RGB camera, so I can't comment. I am not affiliated to or sponsored by Intel in anyway so I restrict my tests to only what I use it for :) The purpose of the video is just to show some outdoor live demonstrations of range tests between the two cameras. I couldn't find it online when I initially bought the cameras so I thought I'd upload one.
@@rishabhsingh5488 I know you are not affiliated with intel, no worries there. but you should mention that this is a defective product. if you are not using and/or don't need RGB camera, D435 can do your job as well as D455, no need to pay extra for it.
@@selfawaredevices what exactly is wrong with the D455? (I'm looking for something that scans small LEGO pieces reasonably well and scan enviroments as a "3D picture")
comments are horrible. So here's a nice one. Thank you for your effort on this! It was helpful to me :)
Same! This is exactly what I was looking for!

Can you provide your config file for the D455 please?
I am wondering how you get such a noise-free result in the sky region?
where can i get the source code brother

The video is about D435I vs D455. So why do you talk about D550
@@jeffhan1239 It's a typo sorry. D550 doesn't exist.
