Seeing that plane fly away to Victorville was so sad. I hope these planes have a second life as a freighter, as they’re too young to be scrapped. Great video as always Emil!❤️👍✈️

This is so sad, with their 777-200LRs being relatively new and their 777 fleet being refurbished not long ago, it's sad to see Delta completely retiring them :(

Delta Airlines looks like it had an absolutely superb product on board its Boeing 777s. The planes look modern, clean and have very comfortable looking seats with seat back television screens that appear large and provide a very wide selection of inflight entertainment. On the other hand, their retirement means that the even more modern Airbus 350s are going to take over for their long haul operations, and that is a good thing.

  • @BrianWebb0222

Flew their 777-200 when I went to Australia last year. Routing was SFO>LAX>SYD>PER (and return), and I paid to sit in their premium economy as LAX-SYD was 15 hours (mostly in the dark). It was by far the best long-haul experience I’ve ever had and I was so impressed with many of DL’s features and comforts. That’s why I was so shocked to find out they were retiring them not too long after they finished retrofitting the entire fleet. Such a bummer to because they were the last domestic airline to keep the 3X3X3 in economy which in itself would’ve been fine for the 15 hour flight.

Unfortunately I never got to fly on any of Delta's triple sevens but I remember connecting in ATL one time years ago. I don't even remember where I was going because I've been through there so many times but the terminal we were connecting in (Terminal C maybe) was undergoing renovations at the time. We were getting on a CRJ and due to the renovations there were no jetways for the RJs in that terminal (it may have been that way for years but I know they do have jetways for RJs now). Anyway, passengers had to go downstairs and then out on the ramp to board their plane via airstairs. As we were walking to our plane I will never forget a 777 being pushed back from the adjacent terminal and starting up. It gave me chills. There is no other sound like that in the world. Normally I get on a plane as quickly as I can when my group is called but this time I stopped and soaked in the sound. I only wish I could've flown on one.

Oh man, that final take off into the sunset was spectacular. Those marine-layer clouds blocked the sun just enough to make it the perfect video.
I know the suites are too wide for the A350s, but it would be nice if they could move the Comfort+ seats into the A350s (might have to trim them a bit). Kind of annoyed Delta never put in C+ seats on their A350s.

Oh no! Delta Airlines Boeing 777-200LR/ER was a good aircraft. I also remember that they used to operate routes from Atlanta/New York JFK to Mumbai, India. No! Not happening! They are going to retire Delta Boeing 777s. Before the pandemic happened. I wished to fly Air India B77W from Delhi to Mumbai and another flight by Delta 777-200LR from Mumbai to New York JFK. Anyways this is the memory of Delta Boeing 777s. RIP (Rest in peace) Delta Boeing 777. We salute you to please please manufacture the next-gen Delta Boeing 777-9x.
