One of the best cockpit movies I've seen so far. The pilots go into so much detail and the recording is so organic. Feels like I'm the FO in the third jumpseat.

Salute to that Captain. Very professional. The Cockpit Authority Gradient is just where it should be. He treats the FO as his colleague (not as a junior), even telling him "Thank You Sir" at some point. Makes for perfect CRM inside that Cockpit.

I flew from Sydney to Vancouver in 2012, and quite enjoyed it being my first long-haul flight
was a little apprehensive but I had done quite a bit of research on the Boeing 777LR and how
a twin-engined plane had the power and fuel to be able to fly the distance so two engines
110-115 thousand pounds of thrust each carrying 344 thousand kilos that's impressive
    yeah so 300 tons

4:41-4:49 in the International Standard Atmosphere the temperature at sea level is 15°C, and with the deviation of +7 that gives 22°C

Indeed only the good die young! RIP our great Pilot.I just discovered this after watching the second time.Great CRM and an exemplary Senior First Officer.I had recommended a friend starting out in Aviation to watch this video to learn how a good, reliable, competent FO behaves and communicates. This Captain is also one of the finest to fly with. Flying is a challenging environment and to be able to enjoy the job the humanware has to be like the team work and courtesy displayed in this crew. Curious if anyone knows what ethnicity or nation this gentleman Manj Thind hailed from? Canada is a melting pot of immigrants ofcourse but he could also be from its First Nation folks. Well done JP and Air Canada for enabling this well documented footage together with its preceding flight in the video preceding this one.We look forward to more of this variety on other jets and regions too.

Interesting max thrust. I used to watch the 744’s going out of Melbourne. I had my heart in my mouth one day about 300 metres past the end of the runway . He really was struggling to climb. When Qantas switched to theA380 that problem disappeared.
Watching the long range from Melbourne to LAX on a day by day basis is very interesting. It varies from heading East out of Melbourne on the New Zealand routes then heading North East to going North of Brisbane & heading over the Pacific from there . It’s fascinating to watch. An Airbus A380 came over my house at 450 knots & 5000 feet one day. I saw it coming on Flightradar24 tore outside it was like a very very large fighter , he was really honking. Just under 5000 ft normally light aircraft territory. Really impressive to see. It will be great when planes start flying regularly again.

I saw him on Flightradar24 & dashed out to see him , got the speed from there.. Quite a spectacular sight at the height . He was honking. I am not sure whether that flight has restarted yet. I haven’t seen much traffic around . It’s still very quiet.
