This song has given me a bit of peace of mind. With all the hatred going on in the country and the world, i feel suppressed in my own feelings. But the song helps me focus to cut through pass those feelings and remember i have my own voice. They can try to silence me, but they won't force me to change who i am.
Edit: 2 years later. Dang, never thought i would be coming to edit this two years. I still think the same feelings, and if not a few more. Times will be bad (my grandfather's recent passing) times will be good (moving out on my own to my own apartment yet still close with family). Love truly did cut through the american noise that tries to swallow me whole, and even with fresh tears, i'm smiling bright here. Don't let your pain and hurt drown you, there's still a lot reasons to keep going and stand tall. Have some faith in god (yes i know that sounds ridiculous to some of you, but there is peace believing in him that took a while to find). And even with politics trying to push us down, use that voice of yours. As the song says, make it into music.

When I was like 14 years old I used to listen to Skillet a lot. For some reason I stopped listening to them. Now I can tell that your voice and tone and everything fits perfectly on their songs. Even more than the original voices.
Just a few days ago, I was thinking about how the Outro to Circus for a Psycho (which I would love to hear you cover, BTW) kind of sums up what it’s like for me to have sensory overload as an autistic person nowadays. Then you released this. Thank you!

This album was the one that really got me into Skillet back in the day. They did new styles like this and they even had a song that was swing (My Religion)

You always somehow make Skillet songs sound just as good and sweet as Skillet themselves. I'm sure John Cooper would love these covers if he hasn't heard them already. This is my favorite calm Skillet song, so hearing this fresh interpretation that is the same but also not the same makes me feel so good inside.
Remember people, love means caring for others and be willing to help out to the best of your ability, not Level of Violence, something I think a lot of people seem to forget.

They are, but they also don’t alienate their non Christian fan base, so they allow people to interpret the lyrics however they want, and considering the fact that thousands of depressed people used their music to lift themselves off the ground and to keep themselves from committing suicide, it’s an arrangement that works.

I've never heard it before, but I had to stop and listen properly after it caught my attention. It somehow called out to me. I really want to hear you cover older Skillet like Vapor or Alien Youth from the album Alien Youth. The album is very Nine Inch Nails but Jon really brings the same Skillet vibe despite how much they changed after album 3. Speaking of Collide I couldn't find a single cover of Fingernails and it's got one of the best choruses they ever wrote imo.
