Its songs like this that remind me that skillet started as a christian rock group. Amazing and heartfelt cover man
they still are a christian rock group.
They're still are a Christian Rock band they just now have a diverse group of fans from all religions or are non religious
The new album have a lot of more obviously Christian songs, personally I’m Christian so I always like it when none Christians have a way to enjoy Christian music

Definitely one of my favorites from Caleb! I’ve also heard the original version from Skillet and I love both versions. This song is one of my personal favorites from Skillet as well so I’m so glad Caleb finally covered it!! Incredible job, Caleb!!! Never stop singing.

@@generictimestamperstupendi9021 Powerwolf is a joke band, though. They sing about all kinds of crazy shit in Christian mythology. Hell, they've written a song about Catholic Werewolves slaughtering the hordes of undead in the name of God and Satan. Their songs are meant to be ironic.
A better example of a Christian metal band that takes things for a much, much, MUCH more aggressive tone would be Impending Doom, although I'm fairly certain that the aggressive nature of their songs is meant to go along with their image of being a "Goreship" deathcore band.

I first heard this song in basic training, they played it when everyone was sitting down in the chapel before church
You never cease to amaze me with these amazing covers. If you would ever do Lucy or Watching for Comets (both by Skillet) I know I'll need a box of tissues nearby as both of those songs pack so much emotion. Again, amazing work as always Caleb. ❤
