Dude no it's not. The "cute naive teenager" aura in the original singer's voice literally made up half of what made that song amazing. It felt like the song from a genuine sweet naive first-time lover, while also being a song about brave sacrifice.

I remember my teacher playing this on the last day of school and she was retiring so we all was happy but sad.
I only made it 20 seconds in before I had to stop, the nostalgia is hitting so fucking hard on this song. I probably listened to it a couple hundred times on repeat in 2012 alone. I forgot how much I love this song and I think I might cry now.
I just want to say thank you, Caleb. For not only covering this song and doing it a great justice, but reminding me of the passion I had for it. This is one of the first songs I learned and loved, and hearing it again has made my night.
I never heard this song before this week but man, it is so powerfully nostalgic. I think it sounds similar to other songs of the early 2010 era. Oh the curse of man. To think about good times while inhabiting a decaying wrapper.

I had never heard of Caleb until maybe a week ago when Google decided to recommend a video about guys hitting high mites or something. I binged all if his videos nearly uninterrupted. Now I'm sitting here at 5 in the morning with his voice in my head. Amazingly talented.

I have a thank you for Caleb and a story for why.
I used to listen to this with a really toxic friend who really hurt me in a lot of ways mentally and emotionally. I've been trying to find a way to reclaim it from my memories of her, but I can only listen to this when in "writing mode" and it still snaps me out sometimes with awful memories of her. I could tell from the opening alone this is what I've been looking for.

This song when it was nightcored was what got me into nightcore in the first place. I thank you very much for bringing back a treasured moment of my childhood Caleb, and I wish to do something like this one day when I get all of the proper equipment. It has always been one of my dreams to record covers and such for songs that I enjoy, and just the thought of it scares me, but I watch your videos and it gives me the hope I need.
