Great tip to increase a tool’s longevity. I have found brand new cordless ratchets that were bone dry as well.

Thanks for the awesome tip! I opened my HF grinder and it indeed needed more grease. Thanks a lot.

thanks much good tips, especialy keeping grease in the head, found that with my dewalt varible speed buffer it was ear peircing before i found the head had grease but not enough were it wasnt even on the gears.. iv seen were a few of the full time detailers before the even use there buffers they scoop out the factory grease and replace it with some quality synthetic, not a bad idea for the grinders too id think

It's one of the things that's always kind of bothered me. How loud grinders can tend to be at times, and this seems to help thanks for the comment and the view Have a great evening

I was hoping to see it get put through the ringer I have yet to see that with corded Hercules grinders

Hey great comment I appreciate it so the grinder that I was using in that video. I used it for about a week straight between 8 to 12 hours A-day with a skinny disk to cut up a 2 story staircase. That was in a warehouse and it held up just fine and there was very little to nowhere on the brushes. The material that I was cutting was twelve inch by two inch channel iron that was three sixteenth's with some areas that were three eighths The rest of the actual stair pieces were 10 gauge. I hope this helps and gives you kind of an idea of what this thing is capable of

I don’t drop, throw or crush my angle grinders and they have yet to self destruct

      It sounds impressive though.
      Feel like I’m missing out.
From here on, whenever I clean some metal with a flap disc, I’m gonna throw my Hercules grinder out the window and run it over with my rig.

So this grinder is about 115mm and 770W? That's not much, 11 amp version looks more promising but it is probably heavier. What about RPM selection, constant RPM under load, smooth start/stop, accidental turn-on (repower) protection features? Does it have anti-jamming ring on the inner nut?

Hey, great comment. Those are a lot of great features. I apologize. I forgot to mention that it has none of those awesome features. This grinder is very, very plain, Jane, but it works very well for what it is. Thanks again.

I absolutely loathe the style of power switch on that Hercules. If it doesn't shut off when i let go, i don't want it.

I was having that exact same problem until I realized. It was full of dirt and stuff and I cleaned it out and it seems to work really well for the moment but I definitely feel you on that.

@@26feironworks79 i had a cordless grinder a few years ago, with that style of switch. The battery died, and i went to replace it, absentmindedly leaving the switch in the on position. I had a knotted wire wheel on at the time, and it nearly bit me when it came to life. Completely my fault, but in my opinion, it's just too easy to forget, especially on cordless tools, so now i just don't touch anything without a trigger switch.

I'm the opposite. I hate paddle switch grinders. I cant stand holding the damn switch on the entire time I'm trying to do a job. Thats why they make both!

@mrslam49 hey, thanks for the comment even on paddle switch type machines. They do have a trigger lock that's usually on the back of the machine. At least on the old Dewalt, they used.to Thanks again, have a great weekend.

@@26feironworks79 I always take apart my grinders and remove the trigger lock, so I can't accidentally activate it
