    Nice colour choice 👌 i painted mine white/ bottom pink, like the tamiya frog, then opposite inside. I used 10k diff fluid for both fnt and rear differentials. I also did the same / used the outta hole for front sus on the arm, sat way too high. Great build but i didnt like the front aluminum front left and right chassis brasses as they were both left side / the finish wasnt perfect on my kit 🤷‍♂️ ocd.
    Thanks for the vid

      Front chassis brasses i might upgrade too carbon later on, also a rear wing 😀👍 only thing too do on mine is sticker installation.
      Tomorrow starting on my yokomo 870c full carbon and oversized sus build! Not a shelf queen, will be a runner with old school novak but savox low server, moded brushed reedy, witha lipo. And fan. Hoping i dont burn out the novak 😛. Then onto my mx4 build.

      @@proautojapan6152 Those are some great projects! Yes, I'm not a fan of the plastic front shock tower, I will be replacing it with the carbon one too once it is available. The front chassis braces...I understand why they do that for manufacturing, but it would have been nice to have separate left and right parts.

      I have a few runners so i think after nov when i buy the world spec ultima, maybe call it quits for a few years. I have spent over 20k on rc this year. Thats only on 1/10th scale. I have a losi 5t fully modified- that needs some care / maybe a full revuild. Phuck. More money, but surprisingly not that much different in prices 😛

    Using the outer mounting hole for the shock on the arm makes the spring effectively stiffer. Maybe the kit springs were chosen with this in mind?
    100 cst oil sounds very thin, though. It could easily make the front end bouncy.

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  9 дней назад +1

      @@Glocktologist I tried 200cst and the recommended mounting point and it was still bouncy. The spring is just too stiff. But between the 200cst, the softer spring and the outer mount it just feels way better.

    • @Glocktologist
      @Glocktologist 8 дней назад +1

      Between the base setup, my suggestion without driving the car, and the setting you found to work well, I think it’s clear which one is best for the conditions where you drive.
      No matter how the shock is mounted, it’s odd that Kyosho should recommend such thin oil and include thick springs. That’s the ’80s Tamiya style of making a pogo stick suspension.
      Anyway, I think you nailed the look with the color choices. The red shock bodies could work but another thing that comes to mind as a highlight to complement the red pinstriping is using red shock plastics (rod end and preload collar). I did the opposite on my Turbo Scorpion: switched the red plastics to black. It’s a surprisingly large visual change.

  • @AddamsPlayground

    It looks really cool! I like the gold and the black wheels! The black wheels does make it more aggressive looking! I am on the fence about the red shocks, while they would tie in with the decals it may look too much like a hotdog car with the red, yellow and brown all together! LOL!
